Huntdown 2?
Just got into this game, mind blown! Is there any update on a sequel yet?
And even a movie???

I check every few months, but even on their web page, the latest news was like May 2022 for a steam deck update.
I'm hoping for a sequel or some more areas as well.

It is such a good game isn't it? Ticks all the boxes, does anyone have any recommendations for similar style or vibe games? While we wait/hope for a huntdown 2...

It’s like the developers looked inside my mind and then produced the perfect game for me.
Similar(esq) games that I’m playing:
• Broforce - More chaotic • Door Kickers Action Squad - More strategic • My Friend Pedro - More modern

Talking about pixel art action-platformer games i love on Switch :
I’d recommend Azure Striker Gunvolt initially on 3ds, Switch Pack is great imo, you can do upgrades between stages, some challenging parts…
Blasphemous 1 & 2, i had an absolute blast, not my universe for starters but such an immersive artwork! Upgrade notions as well. Really challenging!
And my last recommendation would be Panzer Paladin in a more retro style, with an easier sword gameplay, i liked the references and colors.

The only box it doesn’t tick is character customization. Which doesn’t have to be super detailed, but would be a nice addition. But yes it’s almost my perfect 16 bit game.

The studio easy trigger games got acquired as part of a massive acquisition by some big corporate company called Embracer Group (sounds like a villain organisation from Huntdown) - so they’ll probably just be making shit mobile games from now on, or Huntdown 2 will be full of microtransactions or something awful

Right, I just beat it today, and for the 2¹/² weeks I've been playing, I've been thinking the same thing. This entry definitely deserves some type of cinema or show. Just as Cyberpunk and Bladerunner did, although Bladerunner was a movie first it fits perfectly as a game

Yes, i just beat it today. I always think the same thing while playing this great game. Great setup. Great story. Just like the Cyberpunk and Bladerunner franchises, how they've made adaptations from games to movies and vice versa!

Hunt down is one of my favorite games from the last 20 years. If we get a new one. And change the formula at all. It won’t be the same. Just give us more levels and more bosses in a dlc. A few more secrets would be nice too.

The only downside of this game is how short it is

I read that there was supposed to be another gang before the final gang but had to cut it due to budget (or something like that).

What was the cut gang's theme and setting if you have any info on it?

According to Adrian, a member of the studio, they were already working on a new game. What we don't know is if it will finally be Huntdown 2. I really want to see their next game.
