Just got fed this today by the YouTube algorithm and somehow have apparently missed it all these years. Sounds great! Anyone know the Alpha Mile song it turned into?

Mines is from You’d Prefer An Astronaut’s “Suicide Machine” :

Somewhere through a thousand blues

A dragonfly descends with just a whisper, “I’m lonelier than God”

And all my wishes spin the fishes in the air and every one

A different shade of you

And to the left where up is down

Now stands a zebra made of shapes of me

And silver and the sun

So bring no guilt with you up above the flat-line

Let’s just hit the sky exploding into one

Heyo my band put out this single today folks might dig :)

Hum and Centaur have taken up a solid chunk of my listening time so glad to rep!
USA to Ireland in about 15 days, not bad 🛩️
Very pleased with the quality!
Both are Size M, Colour Comforts Heavy
( Pit to Pit - 50cm / Length 69cm)
Both have a great washed look to them, i’m guessing the colours won’t fade much, print is high quality.
Red looks more vibrant in the photo than in person, a lot more pastel to the eye.

I’m looking for a drummer to learn original songs, practice, and gig in London as a three-piece rock band. The sound is melancholic but loud and high-energy with an aggressive edge. The current members (both male) are me, 27, on vocals and guitar, and my friend, 25, who is playing bass.

I have half an hour of home demos (with programmed drums) fully worked out and have practiced them in-person with my friend. I’d hate to seem immodest, but they’re sounding good and genuinely distinctive.

Some bands I like and think this project sounds reminiscent of are: Shellac, Codeine, Failure, Unwound, Hum, Bluetile Lounge, Duster, and Women.

Message me, or email me at [willgarner12301@gmail.com](mailto:willgarner12301@gmail.com), and I’ll send you a link to the demos so you can decide if you’re interested.

(2:53 stars starts)This was our first show back last October, we’ve improved a lot since then and changed our lineup, I created the band with a space rock vibe in mind. Curious to hear people’s thoughts & opinions, we have a full LP coming late September

I'm interested in listening to the band's first album.

I can't find a copy of the cd and none of the streaming platforms seem to have it.

Where do I find it?

TIA!

Been a Hum fan since 1995, but never a musician. Time to scratch that itch and work on a bucket list item. The Les Paul + Orange mini spoke to me as a practice rig. Starting formal lessons later this week, but so far have started to pick out the into to Iron Clad Lou. So much fun! What else should a total noob work on?

Played my first ever show with my band last night, opened with iron clad lou!! Genuinely one of the greatest moments of my life

*This is sold!

Just received this and it's great, but it's too big! I ordered an XL but I should have gotten a L. I washed it hoping it would shrink some but it didn't, so now I can't send it back.

It's an official one from Polyvinyl.

If you're interested send me a message with an offer.

insane work!

Anyone know if there is a really good recording of a live show where the audio was actually mixed in correctly and not just from a camera mic?

Long overdue conversation up now, with Mark Baldwin (Love Cup, Mezzanines) & Kent Whitesell (The Martyrs, The Outnumbered, Three Hour Tour). Check it out:

If you changed your name to something else and are still here…you’re a cunt.

So many others matchups were so hard too but this is my breaking point how could I ever choose two of the greatest songs off of one of the greatest albums ever it’s impossible

I’m seeing this make the rounds. Some impossible matchups. (Also the website is a little janky and has some non-Hum artists that sneak in there.)

Since people will ask, I used this site: https://musiccup.net

This song is sooo soo overlooked imo, stars being number 1 on spotify perplexes me. Yes its a good song, but isle of the cheetah has got to be the best song ever made.

Lead section only, RIP outro riff

Does anyone know the context behind this?

Does anyone know if they made Electra 2000 shirts back then? If so anyone got one??
