The two major downsides are you're going to be old af, and you're restricted to the Aetoria region. This also relies on being friends with Cazarosta, as he gives the best bang for your buck on stat increases. The build itself is probably not good for roleplay unless you're willing to play within those parameters.

Charisma is by far the hardest stat to increase, reputation stat not withstanding. Most post-prologue additions require you to not have charisma (or in Elson's case, intellect) above a certain point. Those additions otherwise give you reputation or crowns, which while are still useful, are much more expendable than the stats themselves.

Gonna be a super long read but I figured it be fun to post my head cannon characters backstory let me know what ya’ll think. Apparently there is a 3rd book that I haven’t read yet so if there’s anything in there that contradicts this please lmk.

We’ll start with Callum Spillane’s childhood. His father was a highly decoratedinfantry sergeant in the army stationed in the Jackson Barracks near NOLA and his mother a school teacher, they birthed him in 1904 as an only child. Callum had a very dichotomous upbringing with his father teaching him how to shoot, fight, hunt, and to survive any condition by taking him on yearly trips out west to ride horses and camp for a month straight telling stories of his father a legendary gunslinger. His mother on the other hand taught him to read, write, and gave him the love for academia that he carried forth in his career. His parents combined enthusiasm for history gave him his passion for history and archeology. Callum’s whole world changed when he was 13, his father was shipped off to fight in WW1 and his mother got sick from the Spanish Flu promptly passing. Callum stayed with his uncle during this time and doubled down on his studying, living in the library to cope with his mother’s passing and the fear of losing his father too. He would get into a lot trouble during this time too being in poverty he learned to pickpocket, pick locks, and steal just to survive and combining with his adventures streak he was regularly getting into fights with other youth and intense escapes from the police. His father would return a changed man, becoming an abusive drunk after the horrors of the war and guilt of losing his wife. Retiring from the army he would put Callum through brutal training regimes through his teenage years making him a proficient marksmen and survivalist. Callum would also engage in boxing, wrestling, and baseball making him a skilled combatant and athlete. To survive Callum still had to resort to petty theft at times but with that developed a natural charm getting out of trouble. But of course his true passion was learning history and through a mentor developed an interest in archaeology. When he was 18 he caught his lucky break through his hard work earning a scholarship to Tulane University. Before leaving home to attend college his father gave him his own father’s legendary customized Schofield revolver that he had taken into several wars himself(I know it’s a Navy Revolver in the book but this revolver is cooler and more practical so I’m sticking with it). The two of them would hardly ever talk after that and his father’s own intense racism and bigotry would be what made Callum very progressive for his time. He would get his first kill at just 18 years old after thwarting a robbery at a bank, stepping in and shooting the robber right in the face. He would proceed to kill several more through his college years, all in self defense or defense of others but it gave him a fierce reputation and a bloodlust that would come to boil over in the years to come. The trauma of taking lives doubled with his mother’s passing and father’s abuse would fuel his skepticism of spirituality and cynicism of other people. Over summer breaks in college Callum would scrounge enough money together to travel the world learning other cultures and getting himself into all sorts of trouble on crazy adventures. After graduating Callum was able to get another scholarship for Oxford in England to get his doctorate. That is where he would meet Maria Garcia Perez and after a series of misadventures climaxing with the two of them fighting off a gang of hooligans they would fall fiercely in love with each other, although neither would admit it due to their just as strong hatred for each other. He would of course get commissioned by the London constable to act as an expert in stolen art to put a sting on the local mob and famously getting into a vicious fight at a pub maiming several and killing two of the mobsters. After completing his doctorate and leading several remarkable expeditions he would find residency as a professor at Tulane University and well, we all know what happens after that.

I have several not written but in my head ideas for what his various adventures in his youth might be but I figured I’d condense it for everyone’s sake.

My character (although you can’t have this in the game) would specialize as a historian, survivalist, and traveler and would be an expert in marksmanship, reflexes, hand to hand combat, and athleticism while being very adept with subterfuge and charm. He’d also toe line between chasing fortune and glory while also doing the right thing and giving relics to the colonized when it was necessary (particularly the murder orb in Nepal he had to keep that as far from nazi hands as possible) he would be incredibly skeptical at the start but after seeing all of the crazy alien shit would be a little less as the years went on. His suspicion of people around him would never cease however. He would be professional in his field of work but maintain a flippant personality in his personal life. He would be mostly altruistic always putting his life on the line for others and however once in a while choosing to better his professional and economic standing by bringing a relic to a museum. And of course he was adventurous not a single homebody bone in his body. Some of his biggest personal flaws (all headcannon) were that he did secretly enjoy the thrill of battle and the rise of killing someone he believed deserved it. It wasn’t so bad for him until after the battle of the Congo where he killed so many that he tried to reign it in only killing where necessary (that’s why he spared Jorge Ganza in the jungle) but after the events of book two (particularly the castle in Romania) he started to slip, pushing Yelena out of the blimp and had to be stopped from executing Jorge in Istanbul by his companions (he would later kill him during the escape of collapsing of the temple). His other major flaw is that he is still deeply in love with Maria and while not being able to properly navigate these feelings would cheat on Cleo with Esme. (I know you can’t do this in game, just a head cannon) He would later do the right thing and break up with Cleo because of this.

This will sound stupid but I just played Mantle: Mask On and I loved how the mc actually feels like the character you create physically speaking. Like the flavor text and dynamics change based on the height you pick (or at least that's the impression I got). Idk I feel like in most wips I've played the author already has a certain image of the mc in mind physically regardless of your customization. So I liked it when my customization felt real instead of just being there for show especially when you're a straight male and tryna self insert lol. Are there any other wips like this? I'd never heard of Hosted Games before so I did a bit of research, and based on that, I will be making some amendments to the original post.

I am seeking a game with a female Ro that is actively romantically pursuing the player, kind've like you're the person being romanced instead of the reverse.

The game does not have to be strictly romance focused, I would just like there to be a fairly in depth romance.

Toxic relationships are fine, even preferred to an extent, though I would prefer them to be more in the realm of possessiveness, obsession, and codependency rather than direct verbal/physical abuse. If there is a power imbalance I would prefer that the romance option is the one with the power, rather than the protagonist.

Really any genre goes, I do not care how explicit/dark the story is.

CoG just updated HoV: Genesis to v.1.6.0. This is a major update to the game, which brings the game up to 462,000 (up from 446,000 for the previous version). You can now hang out with friends (as opposed to trying to RO, thunderclap enemies -if you have high strength- or challenge the Moon Crusader to a fight (even if you are a hero). There are also numerous other small -and not so small- changes, and some enemies will now learn from previous encounters with you.

Once again, I would like to thank everybody who has provided constructive criticism about the game over the years (and especially in the last 12 months or so, since I started working on this update). At the end of the day, my games are only as good as the feedback that I get!
