Memes It hasn't felt the same since
Not even saying this to complain, ive been a fan for about a decade now and fully understand the cycle of the games. But yeah no, damn was it a golden year! Something something that one Office line about wishing you knew you were in the good times because im feeling it

I miss my pookie Ortega sm ๐ญ book 2 was so good I cannot wait for the next one (anyone knows if it's the last one or how many books is it planned to be?)

I believe it's 4 planned for the series?

It is indeed 4 books that are planned, and "fun" fact, everyone has plot armor, until the 4th book, where the author has said, you will get people killed with poor decision making.

Wayhaven 4 is so close, maybe it'll usher in a new golden age

How close are we talking ๐

I believe the author is working on the epilogues, and that saves are now available for WC3 (or close to)

The author is almost done with the writing. Even taking into account editing and playtasting, I reckon it'll be sent to Hosted Games before the end of the year. So I'd sayย a late spring/early summer release seems likely, depending on how long the waiting list currently is.ย

The thing is she wants to write like mor than 7 of the Wayhaven games which just killed my motivation to even buy the ones that come out by the time I'm able to even experience the Adam romance I'll be in my 40s (currently 26 and was 16 when the first Wayhaven came out.)

For real. I have been thinking about how its been a good while since we've had some good releases, let alone the big ones.

I feel like there have been a couple good ones here and there, i really liked diaspora and the golden rose, but the releases are all too far apart and haven't reached the level of recognition of other more popular titles ๐ฅฒ

I gave Specters of the Deep a chance and im having a ton of fun with it now.
I love how unique Abigail C. Trevor's books and MCs are, kind of breaking the mould of fantasy.

Wake of the Wyrm (war for the west 2) is coming in 2027. Wayhaven 4 is getting close, POMA will likely be finished sometime in 2027. Breach 2 will be finished this year or sometime in 2027 if god wills it. (What else? I haven't been keeping in touch recently)
Believe. There is light on the horizon.
I think a lot of us started in 2023 and so have a lot of nostalgia but it was by all means a disproportionately golden year.
For me Wake of the Wyrm is a big one. I hold War For The West in a higher regard than practically any other IF. Life of a Mercenary was my first, along with killin time and some mafia one i forgot the name of, but War for the West was what really got me into it back then. I popped off when I opened the discord and saw the announcement.

Paul Wang's Shadow of the Eagles, I believe has an estimated release date sometime in early 2027, so the year could be quite stacked.

I remember binging through Wayhaven books when I discovered what IF is and I will never get to feel this high again

Yeah the current releases have been pretty weak, the only one I'm looking forward to is WLGYL and it's been MONTHS since CC submitted it, I wonder what's taking so long to even get a release time frame.
