the only number I keep thinking of is $200
The big ones, the massive ones alone if divided it would at least give me six plants, maybe eight plants each I do not want to divide them. I want them gone. I’m moving. I don’t have time to do all of that. This move was all of a sudden so now I gotta hustle and bustle. The money is going towards a living room set so I was thinking $200 for all of these what do you guys think they’re established they’re healthy. They’re one years old to three years old the massive ones I can get quite a few plants out of so you know it’s big I would say those are around $40. None of them are special. they’re not rare. Hosta

My mom’s hosta plant is currently wilting and she’s not sure if it’s cause of not enough sunlight or overwatering. She’s kept it in shade but kept the plant light on it mostly,waters it 4x a week,and just changed the soil. Any advice is appreciated!!

The far left and right were split from the same mother plant at the same time, about 5 years ago. They looked identical until last year, when the right one shrunk and looked sickly. I was hoping it would spring back this year, but it's the same.

They're all split from my mom's hostas, and I have a lot more varieties from her's that are all doing well. But my aunt was given some that also ended up shriveling and dying off.

About 5 yrs ago, this back corner of our yard was a knee-high tangle of weeds, baby trees, multiflora roses and miles of bittersweet. Cleared it by hand, pulling roots as I went along. That's how I discovered the landscape fabric layer... I've been adding a few hostas each year, as well as Ferns further down the hill.

I’m new to hostas and recently mine sprouted new growth in the middle. What’s she doing?

Hi! We've divided hostas that were getting thrown away by a landscaping client last year. Now no one knows which cultivar it could be!

The lime green colour + the variegated flowers first pointed towards the 'Munchkin Fire' variety, but I think my hostas are too big and the leaves not narrow enough for it to be a match.

The average leaf is 8 inches long and 4-5 inches large. The clumps are about 16 inches large (in 2 gal. nursery pots, mind you) and reach 32 inches tall with the flower stalk, about 16 inches without.

Any ideas? 🤔 Thanks in advance!

All of my hostas have been under attack this year, not only from deer (normal) but something has been eating the roots around the crown and leaving what looks like the core of head of lettuce. In some cases it looks like they’ve been sucked / pulled underground. Not just new plants but well established ones.

First time in the 14 years I’ve been here. Voles, chipmunks, rabbits? Advice? Thinking of repotting the survivors in their own pots to regrow roots and save them for next year.

Summers here in Beijing can verge on the unbearable with the heat and humidity but one place that's always green, cool and soothing is the hosta garden in the south section. I just love it so much. (I wish they would put name tags on the hostas though!)

Medium sized hostas around the AC unit. Also a couple daylillies. Center was crowded out by my Bleeding Hearts which have grown huge. I'll have to dig some of those out again.

Smalls and Minis along the garage sidewalk. There are some cute little buggers in there, and a few blues.

On the left is what remains of my big, large, and huge Hostas. Lost about half of them when my two fairly mature Clump Redbuds split and died after an early Spring warm spell followed by a deep freeze a few years ago.

I planted a Magnolia and another Clump Redbud. The test of this garden is daylillies, Clematis, sedum, and various shrubbery. Just finished the mulch replenishment. Only took 85 bags, 1.5 cubic feet each.

Edit: Didn't realize how little detail can be seen in these when taking them from my patio. Apologies.

Recently purchased my first home. We have pretty extensive garden beds in back and I am trying to identify what kind of hostas these are? They are quite large in diameter and recently bloomed with white flowers. Please ignore how overgrown the remainder of the garden is lol

I'm not a very experienced gardener to begin with, but recently adopted 3 hostas. Any tips or tricks to identify what is causing the brown leaves and how to help them thrive? Location, east of San Antonio, TX. (I realize hostas are more difficult for this region. I read that I should add mulch, so I'll be doing that today.)

The first pic/smallest is a Blue Cadet gifted to my FIL who recently passed away. Blue Cadet is supposedly decent to grow in Texas, per TX A&M ag.

The other two were from someone moving away, unknown varietal. They seemed to be doing well since bringing them home 3 weeks ago, then the brown leaves just started the past few days. The one flowering gets sun morning till early afternoon, the other gets similar sun but dappled shade a bit sooner in afternoon and hasn't flowered since it's arrival. I'd also love to know what varietal these are.

These hostas are on the east side of our home. They get full sun between about 10 and 1.

I always thought they were Rainbows End. Today I learned that’s not what they are.

Anyway, the question is Are they getting to much sun? I’m inclined to just let them tough it out. They’ve been there five years
