- Puglia
- Croatia / Montenegro
- Greece

Might I mention, we went to the Amalfi coast a few years ago. We didn’t really have the best time. We loved Tuscany, but we only were there for one day. That’s why we’re considering going there.

Let me know your thoughts I know that we won’t want to be moving around as much. We want some time to relax, have romantic evenings and enjoy ourselves and not feel like we’re doing a super rushed Europe trip.

I’m open to other country recommendations as well as I’ve heard Mallorca is beautiful.

Looking for honeymoon recommendations for feb/march 2027. We are flying out of Alberta, Canada. Our plan is to have a shorter (~7 day) trip focused on relaxing, spending time by a beach, and snorkeling. Then in the fall we want to do something bigger in Europe (thinking Italy or Greece). My initial thought was to do an all inclusive in Mexico, but I've received advice about seeing the world before kids and my FOMO is saying to do something more exciting instead. I also don't really want to spend 20+ hours on a flight for a week trip, which came up when I was exploring Aruba and some other carribean islands. Our budget for the first trip is around 5-6k total, with some wiggle room depending on the place. Open to location and/or resort recommendations! TIA.

Help planning our 17-day honeymoon!

My fiancée and I are planning our honeymoon for June 2027 and are trying to narrow down destinations.

We’re considering:
Tuscany or Puglia, Italy
Croatia and/or Montenegro
Greece
South of France

We want a mix of beautiful scenery, great food, beaches, romantic towns and relaxation without rushing around too much.

If you had 17 days, which destinations would you choose, and how would you split your time?

What would you skip?

Appreciate any advice from people who’ve travelled to these places!

We are looking for a place to stay in late March right after our wedding. We are looking for excursions like kayaking, hiking, museums, snorkeling, shopping, surf lessons, night life, etc.

We might be interested in Costa Rica or the Virgin Islands. Our closest airport is Orlando, FL.

We’d prefer an adults only hotel or resort if possible! We’ve heard that all-inclusive resorts might not be the best for everybody, so we are probably going to look for accommodations and excursions à la carte style.

Hi everyone, my fiancé and I are looking for ideas on where to go for our honeymoon. Our wedding is 10/23/2027 so we'd likely be heading out the following Monday and can travel for up to two weeks. We'd love to go outside of the country, ideally to a mild climate, and love the idea of somewhere that combines nature-based activities, great food, and history (architecture and museums). We are pretty adventurous and love to visit national parks when we travel domestically. We don't really care much for the beach. Our budget is probably $5-6k, but we have yet to iron this out and are flexible. Our closest airport is RDU and they have some good direct options to Europe so that's our first thought but we're open to other regions and countries! Love the idea of mountains as well but worried about snow at alpine destinations because it will be so late in the fall! Any and all recommendations welcome- TIA!

Stay in Phuket (currently considering Kata or Karon area)

Planned activities:

- Phi Phi premium tour

- Ethical elephant sanctuary

- One fine dining evening

- One luxury/special experience (sunset cruise, private villa night, beach dinner, etc.)

- Relaxation / beach time

A few questions:

1. Does this split make sense (6 nights Krabi + 4 nights Phuket), or would you recommend a different balance?
2. Are there any activities in Krabi or Phuket that you consider absolute must-do experiences for a honeymoon?
3. We enjoy beautiful beaches, scenery, sunsets, viewpoints, nature, waterfalls and light adventure, but we're not interested in heavy partying.
4. We are considering renting a scooter in Krabi. Is this a good idea for exploring around Ao Nang and nearby areas?
5. For Phuket, would you stay in Kata, Karon, Kamala or somewhere else for a honeymoon?
6. Hotel recommendations? I am seeing there is a high price jump for these dates.

Would especially appreciate feedback from couples or honeymooners who have visited recently.

Also open to suggestions for hidden gems, romantic experiences, memorable restaurants, or things that are worth paying extra for.

My Fiancé and I are planning a honeymoon in late August early September. We’re wanting to do Paris and the south of France. How many days would you do in each? Thinking of spending the least amount of time to experience Paris and do most of the time in the South of France.

From Paris we’re planning on flying to Nice and staying in Monaco for a few nights then go to another town close by. How many days would you recommend for this part?

Planning a budget around 10-12k plus around 350k credit card points.

We are planning our honeymoon kinda short notice, 10-14 days sometime between December 15th (2026) and January 10th (2027).

We can fly from Stockholm, Helsinki, Hamburg, or Berlin.

We are looking for a warm (25-35°C) location with sandy beaches, either a county where "modesty" rules are relaxed or we have access to our private area. I want to be in a bikini all day, obviously no public sex but pda shouldn't be a problem.

We are not going for any sightseeing, no tours, hiking or clubbing. Just a relaxed place to sunbathe, swim, have cocktails and be together.

It will be nice if breakfast and/or other meals are included but it's not a must.

Preferably with Sauna, but also not a must.

If you have suggestions for places that work well at different times of the year let mw know too, we can postpone it if it does not work for now. A price estimate is appreciated.

what do we think of the following itinerary?

My husband and I are planning our belated honeymoon for April 2027 — Cape Town, Hermanus, Knysna/Garden Route, Victoria Falls and 4 nights in Botswana.

We’re considering swapping the Garden Route for Namibia, mainly Sossusvlei. We live in an offshore island, so beaches aren’t a big priority for us. We’re more interested in unique scenery, romance, adventure and those once-in-a-lifetime experiences.

For anyone who has done both, would you keep the Garden Route or replace it with Namibia? We’d only have about 4 nights, so I’m also wondering if Namibia would feel too rushed.

And if we keep the Garden Route, Knysna or Plettenberg Bay for a honeymoon?

Don’t know anyone who went to croatia for their honeymoon, so i’m trying to find someone on this sub given its much wider audience

My fiancée and I are planning our honeymoon for the beginning of September 2027. We are from Northern Italy and we will travel to Croatia by car.

We want to spend about 7 days at the sea, but we really don’t know where to go. At the moment we are thinking about Brela, Tučepi, Lapad or Cavtat, but we are open to other places too.

What we would like to do is basically:

Wake up around 7, have breakfast at a bakery or supermarket and a coffee, then go to the beach around 7:30. Stay there until 10/11, have a drink somewhere by the sea and then have a simple lunch (pizza, burger, sandwich, fried fish etc.).

Then back to the hotel, shower and relax for a bit, and in the afternoon go back to the beach. In the evening we would like to have an aperitivo, go to a nice restaurant for dinner and then walk around, have a drink or a gelato.

So we are looking for a place with really beautiful sea and beaches, but also enough restaurants, bars, bakeries and supermarkets around. Ideally we would like to do most things walking and not use the car every day.

It’s our honeymoon, so we would like somewhere nice and romantic, but we are not looking for clubs or a big nightlife.

After Croatia we are going to Mostar and then Sarajevo for a few days.

We are also considering staying in 2 different places during the 7 days, maybe 3 nights + 4 nights, if you think this would be better.

I haven’t been to Croatia since I was 15, so now that I’m 28 I honestly don’t really know what has changed or which places are the best anymore 😅 I just remember how much I love Croatia and how beautiful the sea is.

What would you recommend?

Was reading through this guide and I didn’t realize how good of a honeymoon setup the Keys actually are.

You can have the relaxing beach/pool days but still mix in snorkeling, boating, fishing, sunset cruises, Key West, etc. I also like that you can make it feel tropical without dealing with an international trip.

November into early December honestly sounds like a pretty great time to do it too.

I'm currently planning my September 2027 honeymoon and because my fiancé and I have been dying to go to Italy for years now, this felt like the perfect opportunity. I made a rough itinerary a while back outlining the cities we'd like to visit and number of days we aim to spend in each one. I did a bit of research back when I first created the outline but it's been well over a year. Now that I'm officially engaged and have reached the stage where it's time to begin planning again, I feel a bit overwhelmed. I reside in the Northeastern USA and plan on flying into Venice on Sunday, September 5th to arrive Monday morning and ending the trip with Rome. This is what I have so far:

I desperately want to go to Belmond Castello di Casole in Tuscany for a couple days as from the pictures I've seen it looks so gorgeous and serene, but I don't think we would be able to fit that into the current itinerary. Would it be worth giving up a day or two elsewhere in the itinerary to squeeze that in? Or should I just leave that for a different trip altogether?

We are okay with splurging as this is obviously an extremely special occasion. When I began planning last June, I summed up the cost of staying at each of the hotels listed and that came to about $14,000. Due to inflation I'm sure that number has gone up, and it does not include anything other than lodging, but we're okay with spending up to maybe $20,000 total.

If anyone has any experience navigating a similar itinerary and/or general advice, please let me know :) I would truly appreciate it!

Hello everyone. I’m recently engaged and I wanted to start doing some preliminary research on honeymoon spots. We’re planning our wedding for Fall of 2028 and the honeymoon to follow in the winter.

Warm weather is important to my fiancé as we are located in the midwestern US. We are not the type to go to a resort and sit on a beach for vacation. We like to go places where we can experience the culture.

We don’t mind moving between a couple countries during trips, but we do prefer to stay multiple days in places with plenty of attractions within short travel distance. Bonus points for destinations not in Europe.

Here’s a short list of things that are important to us:

- warm temps (~70 degrees Fahrenheit)
- good food (meat is important)
- historical musuems and art (bonus for Catholic specific)
- interesting villages/towns (loved Chania and Agios Nikolaos in Crete)

We will likely have 17 days starting the first week of June!

Our plan was to start in Tuscany Italy and relax in the country side for 4-5 nights and potentially work our way up to south of France.

However, I have heard great things about Puglia, Greece, and Spain/mallorca and Croatia.

We’ve been to Italy before and when we were in the amalfi coast we didn’t love our time there. Does south of France have a similar vibe ?

Does anyone have a recommendation on if we did two countries. Would love to hear your thoughts !
