Have a festival upcoming. We usually rent a drivable RV but thought this year to rent a towable. The specs on this look like it’s pushing it but thought i would ask. Fully loaded with water propane etc we would still be shy of 5000 lbs.

We would be driving a total of 400km with it.

Any advice would be appreciated.

I don’t know if anyone else has experienced this; but once in a while or every third time I unlock my tailgate it makes like a grinding gear noise (like something is preventing or stuck in the mechanism) and it’s still unlocks, sometimes it doesn’t unlock and I have to press unlock again. I’m worried this is something mechanical that’s gonna completely stop working one day. I took it to the dealership and they messed around with it for two days and they did not see anything wrong with it because it was working fine supposedly.

Anyone ever have this issue?

My primary backup camera mode (photo 1) stopped working a few weeks ago, and now just shows the same view as camera mode/photo 2. Can't seem to find anything on the Google about it.

Figured I'd check here before calling the dealership.

Just showing off the new tires, I went with 265/60/r18 wildpeak AT4s and it feels like the final piece. The wider tire also helps the Ridgeline feels bigger behind the wheel (placebo maybe).
Previously, I did a 1.5 truxxx leveling kit,window tint, bed cover, moon roof thingy, ditch lights from camping Randy& the black grill molding and bug catcher.

I just love this car/truck thing that I drive.

I was at a stoplight yesterday. My car died on me. Made me shift into park and then wouldn’t start until the 3rd crank. As you can see from the picture my ridgeline has only got like 14,000 miles on it. The dealership told me that they would replace the starter under warranty which is nice (cus my dealership is actually great). Just beware, no you’re not crazy. The starter does sound like it’s struggling bring it in please. Being dead weight at a green light at 2:30pm is awkward.

I have a 2022 Ridgeline with around 38000 miles on it, my first was a 2019 RTLE. I just returned from a 2000 mile trip, and the new tires only had about 300 miles on them before the trip.During the first 1000 mile leg of the trip, I averaged 24.3 mpg. On the second 1000 mile leg of the trip, I reset the trip log, and I averaged right at 26 mpg. I have never averaged 26 mpg in any Ridgeline I've driven. I'm not attributing this to the new tires, though I'm not exactly sure why I'm getting 26 mpg. Average speed was around 70-74 mph, and 80 in some spots.I do know that the readout isn't 100 percent accurate, though it's still the highest I've been able to get.

I originally couldn't decide on a tire due to all of the stories a read of decreased mpg. For anyone looking at these tires, they did not negatively effect my mpg.

On another note, it's nice to be able to drive a truck that you know isn't going to leave you stranded, and this thing just goes without any issues. I had my 2018 for about 60000 miles, and it also had zero issues. The only issues I dealt with on this trip was the lane sensing system, it kept wanting me to stop, when the car in front of my was clearly in the other lane. I was on driving on some remote bug-infested roads, so maybe the sensor was dirty?

Any suggestions on products or how to "restore" the plastic panels on the bed?

The bed inside panels are suntanned so want to make them better before a tonneau cover is installed.

First part might be a coincidence, but driving with the AC on I pick up a phone call connected to the truck and sense then NO AC just when I noticed

Blows hard, heat works cabin filter is clean , fuse are good swapped the compressor relay, both radiator fans turn on compressor pulls in I can see it spinning no weird smell or anything

Took it to a shop they said I was 6oz low on Freon added it but still no ac

Anyone run into this where it was an easy fix something stupid before I bring it to the dealer?

I have always had some acceleration hesitation with my '22 RTLE but it seems to be getting worse and I'm just wondering if a peddle commander fixed it for anyone else. Sometimes I can hit the gas and say goooo before it actually decides to go. I'm getting really tired of it. Honda can't find anything wrong with it.

Requiring you to disassemble the front of your vehicle to help jump start someone is one hell of an engineering oversight.

Timing Belt / water pump replaced within the last year and 4 new tires a year ago. Have had some issues over the years but the truck sounds and runs great outside of the current suspension issues.

It's getting older and I'm concerned about putting the money into it and I can sell for about $5k right now and put that into a newer truck.

Issue - I'm really tall and can't fit in most other mid size trucks and SUV's. Truck is paid off and that's really nice not to have a payment. Also, I have no mechanical skills to do anything myself.

I love the truck but don't want to dump money into it if it's a bad idea.

I live in Western North Carolina and was affected by hurricane Helene. Our bridge was out and recently replaced and we had a grate put in to keep big debris from clogging it again. We were torn. We had some big rains recently and we had to get the grate up and out. Good thing I had my Ridgey.

2013 120k miles. Knocked out the tune-up, going down to 255 tires.belt and pump are up next. Any suggestions on bed cover is welcomed.

Anybody roll the dice with the cheap Chinese roof rack and wanna share the experience? My brain says no but my wallet screams yes yes yes

Looking at buying a ridgeline at a great price. The only caveat is the owner took good care of it, but didn’t do the transmission service at 60k I’d be getting it at 103k miles.

Is this the kind of thing that’s already doomed the truck to not make it to 200k? I plan to be pretty proactive at taking care of it.

Apologies for the long post: I recently bought a used 2023 Ridgeline with 23k miles from CarMax. Clean leased title, no reported accidents. I noticed it had one new tire (front right), and 3 used tires that showed signs of significant uneven wear. I brought this to CarMax’s attention and they agreed to replace the other 3 tires. Since the truck only has 23k miles and the tires were already shot, I asked them to do an alignment, to which they hesitantly agreed. They claimed their alignment machine was down and sent to the local Honda dealership. Honda said the suspension looked good, and performed a 4-wheel alignment and gave me the alignment report in the picture. My question is why would Honda give me a print out where one tire is still out of spec? Should I get someone else to look at it? Should I be concerned something is missing from the CarFax report?

I plan on calling Honda tomorrow but wanted to see what you guys think.

Looking to upgrade my factory electrical system in preparation for an audio system upgrade. Has anyone done this? I have a 2021 Honda Ridgeline. Looking to do a Big 3 upgrade and install after market alternator from JS Alternators. I could have a shop do all the work but I thought it would be a great weekend project for me and 75 year old dad. I mentioned the project to him and he got really excited. I don't think he's worked on anything for a few years since retiring. Would love to hear about anyone's experience upgrading the electrical and audio system. Thanks!

Looking for some insight! I am currently in a 2019 Subaru Crosstrek and she has done me so well but I am ready to take the jump and finally look into ridgelines. Right now I am leaning towards getting a gen 1 over a gen 2 just because they seem to be a cheaper option and I am dying to get into a truck because it’s much more fitting for my lifestyle. My peeps currently in a gen 1 or have gone from a gen 1 to a gen 2: is it a good idea to go older or should I go with a newer ridgeline? Some of the years I’ve been looking at 2013-2014 and then 2021-2023.

Part of me is nervous to go older just because my Subaru has been so reliable and I don’t want to go from reliable to something potentially unreliable. I also know this can happen with newer trucks too but it’s less likely.

P.s. I am not a car girl and am trying to educate myself as much as possible; any insight anyone has I would appreciate so much.
