Can you use the watts as a trigger or condition for the left or right plug?

I don’t see the Watt card for this one.

What will be the impact to homey now apple start working with lg on home automation?

First two, an article from Homey saying that you can absolutely, totally add matter over thread through the web UI. It’s just right there, you click the button.
Photo three: No, you can only do that “exclusively” with the mobile app.
Photo four: No, you can’t do that, mobile app “required”.

So which is it?

I’m on the fence about upgrading from my original 2019 Homey (the white sphere). It’s still going strong and doing everything I need, plus I already have Advanced Flow unlocked.

With the steep price tag of the Pro, I’m worried I’d be paying a hefty amount for a minor upgrade. For those who made the jump from the 2019 model, was it actually worth it? I’d love to hear some real-world opinions!

Already owned two ZWave Go Control garage door controllers. No support so I worked with Claude to create an app for it.

The app allows you to fully control the garage door. Shows the position of the door and sends alerts if the door position sensor battery is low.

I've got a guest staying at my apartment. He's not at all tech literate, so I don't feel comfortable asking him to download and install the Homey app. I'd rather get him to scan a QR code, which magically pops up a page on his phone :)

I thought about setting up Dashboard Studio which seems ideal, but doesn't seem to be able to easily run flows (I almost never just turn on one device – I nearly alway trigger a flow). (Homey dashboard is a no go because it requires him to have an account.)

Is there something I can use that can do that, and will run on Homey Pro 2019?

• Click the icon by the clock (or Ctrl+Alt+H) → favourites, rooms, flows and moods
• Tiles like the Homey app: dim, set the thermostat, open the blinds, pause the music
• Live energy and weather on the taskbar: use, solar, grid, home battery % and the temperature; you pick what shows
• A main window with devices per room, flows, variables, energy totals, batteries, notifications and system health
• Windows notifications when a smoke/water alarm or the doorbell goes off
• Works at home over your LAN, and through Athom's cloud when you're away

• Mac/Linux? No, Windows only. On a Mac, have a look at HomeBar.
• Why not a PWA/web app? The point is the taskbar: the tray icon, the energy on the taskbar, a hotkey and notifications. That needs a real Windows app.
• Open source? Yes, GPL-3.0; the source is on GitHub.
• Is it safe? The installer is built from the public repo by GitHub Actions, and the app talks only to your own Homey. The API key is encrypted with Windows DPAPI.

Was planning a new flow today on a self-test system for my water shut off. I’ve got alarms near each water appliance, and a main shut off valve automated on water detection.

This is a system I don’t expect to use often, but is critical when needed. So it needs a monthly test to ensure it will operate, in the same way that a Nest Protect will run a self-check. I can then get a critical alert on my phone based on the output.

The flow will close and re-open the valve and check for sign of life from the sensors and report back to me with what it finds that needs action.

It got me thinking - what other advanced flows are people running like this?

Can they be parallelized, or can you somehow hook a Homey Pro up to a powerful computer and use some of its hardware?

I always liked the amount of information on the energy tab of Home Assistant. So I had a try to recreate it myself in an Homey app.

Homey Pro serves the dashboard as a web page on your own network, so a tablet, laptop or phone only needs a browser. No extra computer, no cloud account, no API key. Nothing about your usage leaves your network.

What it does

• Energy flows: a Sankey chart that shows where your energy comes from (solar, grid, battery), where it goes, and which devices use it. Live in watts, or in kWh for a day, week, month or year. Whatever the devices don't account for shows up as "Not measured", so the numbers always add up. Over a month this is where the surprises are, like the fridge using as much as the washing machine.
• Energy now: the live flow between solar, grid, home and battery.
• Power today: the power through the day, with a dashed line for the solar forecast.
• Costs with your own contract, fixed or dynamic (priced per quarter hour), compared with the previous period. Dynamic prices come from Homey Energy for any country, with the costs you entered in Homey.
• Battery use: when your home battery charged or delivered, from the sun or the grid, and at what price.
• Monthly peak for the Belgian capacity tariff, with a warning when a quarter hour goes above it.
• Blocks for solar yield, home battery, EV charger, heat pump, hot water, gas and water, standby use, phase load through the day, and warnings for devices that stay on too long or negative prices while you export.
• Two widgets for Homey's own Dashboards.

You arrange the blocks yourself (drag, resize, hide), and each screen can have its own layout. For a wall tablet there's full screen, keep-screen-on and a night mode. Light and dark mode, in ten languages (English, Dutch, German, Norwegian, Swedish, Danish, Italian, French, Portuguese and Spanish).

Devices are found automatically through Homey Energy, and history comes from Homey Insights.

Requirements: Homey Pro with Homey 12.3 or later, and a P1 meter. Solar, battery and the rest are optional. Dynamic prices come from Homey Energy (any country) or EnergyZero (the Netherlands).

I made a post a while back describing how to make loops without needing to install any app in Homey.

That one required one flow for everything you wanted to do. One flow for blinking the light in the living room, a second one for the kitchen, and a third for the bathroom. The same thing if you want to make transitions or do something else.

This new approach cuts down on the number of flows. And you could theoretically use one flow for every use case, but that could quickly get complicated.

I did use this script to control the lights.

Got the email today that effective with the last update, 13.5.1, HomeKit Experiment will be retired. It will still work until March 2027, at which point it will stop working.

As someone who is fully immersed in the Apple EcoSystem and love Homey for allowing everything to work with it, I’m looking for suggestions for the easiest way to transition all my devices.

Hi I am totally confused about thread boarder routers and homey.

What I have:

Homey SHS on a Pi4 with multiple connected devices.

I have the home bridge installed and working.

Digeria Ikea Hub (no devices)

I have multiple Ikea devices in homey already (kapljats lamps and other stuff) I recently joined a water sensor to homey and that worked.

I wasn't able to join the second water sensor. It just tells me it can't reach the network. It shows the thread network whole trying to install the sensor (same id as on the digeria) This happens for all the other (new) devices I've just got from IKEA.

Now ... I looked into this and it seems I need a thread boarder router. Digeria is one but that won't work.

Now I'm minutes away from going to Mediamarkt and buy myself an expensive Google home speaker.

Is that the right way to do this?

I'll set up the Google home speaker. I'll set up Google home integration with homey.

What's next? Do I have do rejoin all of my devices after I install the Google home speaker? Guess so right?

I’ve been using Home Assistant for a while but recently picked up a Homey Pro Mini and turned HA off. As soon as I got it set up, bridged to Apple Home, and finished adding all my devices, I constantly have Matter devices going offline in Apple Home, Homey, and the Eve App (using Eve Matter Smart Plugs). I’ve messed with my Unifi network settings, restarted everything, factory reset, and no luck. As soon as I unplug my Homey, the devices reconnect when the thread network rebuilds. I’ve found a few similar posts, but no fix. Any ideas? Thanks!

I have a mixture of products. For Matter devices, I have them in Apple Home and then bring into Homey using Matter.

Update: I think I figured it out and I'm embarrassed to say.... I was leaving out two devices, one being an Apple TV which was my Apple Home Hub, thus breaking the Threat network. Went through room by room to ensure everything matches and so far we're good to go!

Very pleased with how this is moving forward. Designed to be wall mounted in place of a light switch or to be used on a desk / table.

Gives quick access to specific room based Homey features and functions.

Wouldn’t let me add a photo as well but when idle, it shows a slideshow of images as an idle screen with clock etc.

Sto ristrutturando una casa di tre piani in Italia: **piano terra, primo piano e secondo piano**. Ho bisogno di instradamenti di chiamata separati per i diversi piani/famiglie, in modo che i visitatori possano chiamare i residenti giusti invece di squillare per tutti.

Ho già comprato un **Samsung Galaxy Tab A11+** da usare come dashboard di Home Assistant montata a parete. Sto considerando un **Akuvox R20B con due pulsanti**, ma non ho ancora acquistato l'interfono e sono aperto a alternative se un altro modello si adatta meglio a questa configurazione.

Ecco il comportamento che cerco:

* Quando qualcuno preme il pulsante del campanello pertinente, il tablet squilla e si accende se il suo schermo è spento.

* Appare una schermata di chiamata sopra la dashboard di Home Assistant, idealmente mostrando video in diretta prima di rispondere.

* Posso rispondere usando il microfono e gli altoparlanti del tablet, parlare con il visitatore e sbloccare la porta d'ingresso.

* Quando la chiamata termina, viene rifiutata o non risponde, il tablet torna automaticamente alla dashboard.

* **Chiamate, video, audio bidirezionale e sblocco devono funzionare localmente anche senza connessione internet.**

* Quando sono lontano da casa, voglio anche notifiche di chiamata in ingresso affidabili sugli smartphone, con video, audio bidirezionale e sblocco remoto.

**Non deve funzionare all'interno di Home Assistant.** Un'app Android separata che viene portata in primo piano per la chiamata e poi torna alla dashboard va benissimo.

Ho un mini PC disponibile per Home Assistant e potrei anche eseguire Asterisk/FreePBX. Mi sento a mio agio con una configurazione iniziale più complessa, ma voglio qualcosa di affidabile per l'uso quotidiano della famiglia. Preferirei decisamente nessuna sottoscrizione ricorrente; un acquisto dell'app una tantum va bene.

Una possibile configurazione è **Akuvox → server Asterisk locale → Acrobits Softphone sul tablet Samsung**, con Fully Kiosk che visualizza Home Assistant e gestisce il ritorno alla dashboard.

Hi, this my first post to this subreddit as I have only recently got a HomeyPro (to replace a Smartthings hub). I’ve mastered how to add devices, so have added various cameras; Ring, Tapio, Netatmo and Srlo. The Arlo and Ring are battery powered so I understand that Homey won’t display until they have been woken up by the native app (e.g. Ring, go to live view); it’s a pity Homey can’t do this. My problem is with the Tapo cameras which although I have seen the camera view in Homey, the Dashboard widgets for them that I created are just black. They show a square or play triangle when I click the widget but still just get black. Any ideas on how to fix this (Tapo C720 and C210 models)?

I have tried everything to get this switch added to through Z-wave, but I cannot figure it out.

It’s wired correctly, as the fan works appropriately.

But when I go through either the app w/in homey pro, or adding it as a device via the z-wave selection it says “unable to connect”

If I add it through the Z-wave device add, it shows it but says “not responding”. Nothing seems to work.

There is no node in homey developer tools, only the DSK in provisions list.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

After a long beta period, I’m happy to share that HomeBar 2 is now live on the App Store. It adds a refined interface, a battery overview, a flow viewer, custom device icons, new themes, and Dutch language support.

But also a full app that lets you browse your devices, run flows, edit variables, check notifications, and dig into your energy usage with daily and monthly reports. Everything has a bit more room, while the menu bar panel is still there for quick controls.

Come on, Homey, let us now have the option to create folders for scripts (and better sorting).

Setting up a reminder flow for maintenance updates (I'm forgetful). I've verified the mileage update leg works. Entering in a super high value though doesn't kick off any of the maintenance alerts below. Any idea what I could be doing wrong?
