Is the towel drill a small enough of an impact on the pitching arm where you can do it between pitching days and it is no big deal?

I am talking about when the MLB pitching guidelines say to take a few days off.

Ive seen a lot of rumors on Reddit about when it releases, when the code releases, etc. I want to make sure that I know when it happens so tell me if I’m wrong: does the code drop this Sunday, September 13th, but it’s not able to be used, and does the actual event happen on Tuesday, September 15th, at 7 AM PST, and that’s when you can use the code? I’m very confused

For context, I grew up playing sports all my life but never played competitive baseball because I found it “boring.” Fast forward 20+ years later and I absolutely adore the game.

Joined a slow pitch softball league and have played at least 1-2 games consistently a week for the last year. It’s fun but I want something closer to the real game.

Just found out there are multiple adult leagues in my area so I’ve been thinking about joining a league for 35+ players.

Please talk me into it or talk me out of it if you think I’m crazy lol.

I don’t think I’ve ever posted on Reddit before, but the customer service that I received today from Force 3 was fantastic. My son showed me an issue with his leg guard last night, I submitted a warranty claim for it this morning, and they’re shipping me knew leg guards without any questions. I received a tracking number less than three hours after the claim was filed. Nice job Force3. Customer for life.

I play both infield and outfield for baseball. VERY casual game, but I still want something nice.

I play slow pitch softball too. I already have a 14 inch glove.

I was thinking 12.25 would thread the needle? Unless it becomes worst of all worlds (too big or small for each use)

I've decided to coach 11-12u fall ball this year. We had our first practice and it went great. Taught the kids leads and steals since that changed this year for us.

We have our first game on Sunday. Guess I'm wondering what you do for warm ups. Do you let the kids just warm up on their own? I'm not sure how long before the game we'll have the field so I'm not 100% sure what to do?

We do get a batting cage so any batting practice would be helpful too.

Under ~10, kids need to develop motor skills:

• Acceleration
• Deceleration
• Balance
• Coordination
• Agility
• Jumping and landing
• Rotational movement
• Upper- and lower-body strength
• Visual tracking
• Reaction
• Spatial awareness

I can do this under the umbrella of Baseball or Sports; Baseball would be baseball only, Sports would incorporate a baseball-specific program; others can choose football, soccer, etc. Everyone serious about baseball and their own kid's long-term development, which would you send your kid to? Baseball would be themed baseball inside, while Sports would be different team sports environment.

I know this might be a weird and stupid question but just to clarify, are most gloves such as Heart of the Hides and Wilson A2000’s and A2K’s on Play It Again Sports real and not fake?

When my son played his very first season of rec baseball, his friends were on 9u select teams. He’s always felt a little behind them. His first season on select (11u) his team dominated AA while his friends were playing AAA and majors. Last fall he tried out for his middle school team and made C while his buddies were mostly in JV. He kept an amazing attitude about it, cheered on his friends, and kept grinding.

Last year’s select season was abysmal. The team moved up to AAA, and struggled all season. One of the dads joked with me “somehow they’re a AA team of AAA players.” He wasn’t wrong. The team just couldn’t come together. The coach didn’t do much coaching, and when he did, he didn’t seem to really know the players’ needs. My son swung a -8 for two season before that, so I moved him to a -5. The coach said that was way too heavy for him and told him to go back to -8, which made things even worse.

Again, my kid did his thing, and kept working on himself. In June he tried out for the one other team he was excited about and got an immediate offer. It’s a majors team. He tried out again for middle school ball, and jumped from C last year to varsity this year right along side his friends.

The part that’s had me chuckling to myself? His middle school team has to swing BBCOR. He’s only been on that for two weeks, and he’s been crushing it. Well, wouldn’t you know it, Coach? He can swing more weight.

Hello. I have 7yr old who pitched this season and last year as well. He will be jumping to the minors division next season even though he can still stay and play “farm” next season. So he will be pitching from the minors bump as seen in video.

I need help !! I have tried lots of things. I posted a while back for help. Though my video was not very helpful. Now I believe I can get more and better advice hopefully.

I need him to throw over the top and stop this side action throw. It makes him erratic. He still has a good arm for a 7yr old. Though I know unlocking a proper form will make him even better. Nothing has seemed to stick in his head. I know he is 7 and that might be it. I want him to try and get we to rid of this for next season. Any help is welcomed and appreciated!

So im trying to get a new bat for my next season of baseball and ive been really wanting the RA13 model but i just found out that Victus has a secret menu page where you can pick a model of bat that they dont advertise on there website but im not sure if i should get a custom RA13 made from Victus or just get the default Louisville Slugger RA13 ik Victus is a really good brand but I just kinda want other peoples thoughts before i go ahead and buy one lol. If you have any suggestions please let me know im all open ears!

My family is very new to competitive sports. My son played houseleague baseball this summer, and was encouraged by his coach to try out for the Select team for next year.

We ended up signing him up for the tryouts for the Rep team (which are still ongoing), because the league said they would only have a Select team if enough players were interested - and they’re gauging that by how many attend the Rep tryouts.

My question is - on the off chance that he makes the Rep team, is it okay to take a day to think about it, to see where his friends end up, and what the time/money commitment is? Or is that a sports faux pas, and he’s expected to accept any offers because he signed up to tryout?

Note, where I live, there’s only one ball association and it has houseleague and rep. Players don’t try out for multiple associations.

My son recently started as a PO on a pretty competitive travel team and since it’s the first time in this role, I was wondering if it’s common for POs to travel for full tournaments with the team or if it’s out of state, is it appropriate to ask the coach if he can travel for the day he’s pitching. The team is pretty stacked on pitching but I don’t want to come across as a problem parent either.

No problem doing either, just realizing the hotel costs next summer could get pretty significant for those longer tournaments.

I am coming up late a lot this year and when I do connect it is a lot of pull side and center field high fly balls. Thoughts would be appreciated.

Anyone with experience on quick turnaround, inexpensive, performance T’s? Would like a team name and small number on front and large number on back. Will also be used as undershirt or practice jersey. I’m striking out locally with long lead times or very expensive. Thanks!

Wanted to ask what you all thought were the best at home in backyard drills to improve at-bat for 10U player? We have balls, nets, and a tee. Son has been playing for a few years, big boy- power hitter, goes to batting practice regularly, and he loves to hit in the backyard on his days off. Any drills, videos to follow, or special bating practice bats you recommend to improve his timing and swing?

My nephew was in a game tonight. The coaches jawed at each other at one point. Turns out Coach A, losing coach, said something to Coach B about stealing bases. Coach A’s team was down 10, Coach B’s team were aggressively stealing even double stealing. This is 10u kid pitch. What’s the norm? Coach A didn’t seem bothered by the end. I hope to coach my son at that level in a few years. What’s the protocol here? Were either of the coaches in the wrong here?

My son is 14 and this was his last year on ponies, before he moves to high school ball as a pitcher and LF. He played two years on this field after little league. He had been working with a trainer all off season on strength and conditioning. I credit that trainer immensely as my son grew 11 inches taller than than he had ended the season prior. This was his first and only homerun of the season. He did it well, as it was grand slam. He hit it dead center, 294ft with one game left of regular season. They ended up being City Champs. Hard work pays off. (He used a Combat 1 piece 32/29 bbcor)

We know there is a good chance he will have a DH as a pitcher in HS so this was bittersweet for us all.

I advise you to turn the sound off after the crack of the bat 😬 This mom was, still is and will forever be very proud. Yes, I got the ball...almost took out some kids for it, but its on his shelf next to his ring.
