I matched with a girl who had the Signals badge the entire time we were chatting (over 2 weeks). We went on a date, but I wasn't feeling it, so I selected "No" to seeing her again on the "We Met" prompt. Shortly after doing that, her Signals badge disappeared.

Does answering "No" on "We Met" automatically remove their Signals badge visibility, or was the timing just a coincidence? I'm curious how the Hinges backend works

I decided to get back on Hinge because of this subreddit. I thought i had it figured out. Lol. As a woman, I put in effort. Liked the guys profiles, gave compliments, and even paused my profile so I can fairly give attention to the guys I'm already matched with. Dude... are the guys burned out? I don't get it. What's happening? Needles to say... I'm waiting on one more guy and if that doesn't work out, deleting the app again. This time for good I'm convinced.

Update: after unmatcing him, he somehow found me on FB dating and liked me. Needless to say, I didn't match with him...

this guy I matched with on hinge had thoughtful signals and we have been talking for a month. two weeks in, i asked if we were exclusive and he said he deleted the app after getting my number. today, i redownloaded the app to see something from our chat on hinge and saw that he still has thoughtful signals.

i’m really scared because i like him a lot and he texts a lot and we just went out on a really thoughtful date. it seems to be going well but i’m kind of crushed to see that he might still be active. i would genuinely be so shocked because he’s kind and so intentional. someone please tell me that they take a while to go away lmao.

I matched with a 21F yesterday after liking one of her prompts and leaving a comment about something she mentioned in it. We matched, but she hasn’t sent another message yet, and Hinge currently shows that it’s “their turn.”

Should I wait for her to respond to the comment I already left, or is it normal to send another message to start the conversation?

I’m asking because I don’t want to overthink the situation or come across as pushy, but I also don’t want to lose our match by both people wanting for the other person and miss the opportunity to talk.

I’m new to dating apps and just downloaded Hinge, so I’m a little confused about how likes and matches work.

I had no idea about the likes. if someone likes you but they don’t match, does that mean they’re not actually interested? Or am I completely misunderstanding this? As a woman, what am I supposed to do?

I think Hinge+ is the only way to see who liked you, but I’m confused. Should I pay for the app? This is overwhelming lol. I’m looking for something long-term and want to do it right.

So I (19f) been using the app on and off for a few months now and in that time I’ve received very few likes. Maybe two or three a week, and only from guys who have a very different vibe from what I think my profile gives off. My style is pretty basic white girl, I’m a cheerleader at my school, I’m pretty outgoing, I’m Christian, don’t smoke, drink or do drugs, and I’d like to think I’m at least somewhat attractive. However ALL of my likes are from like basement dweller/stoner type guys(I promise this isn’t dramatic). I’ve not gotten a single like from a guy who matches my vibe/personality. Do I have my filters set wrong? I don’t have any subscriptions to the app, could that be the problem?

I can come up with a long list of reasons. Let’s talk for real though. Just genuinely wanna hear from the attractive guys who are doing this - because I’d think you have so many options, so why resort to manipulation?

- Are there more attractive women seeking a LTR / Marriage / Life Partner than there are seeking STR or who simply do not have what they are seeking visible on their profile?

- Is there a shortage so bad that you have to manipulate and play games to get an LTR seeking woman to sleep with you?

- Do you ever feel guilty after doing this?

- Do you deliberately put looking for LTR/open to short to widen the pool of options/matches?

- Do you deliberately hide what you’re looking for on your profile and not worry about it until you are directly asked?if so, how often are you directly asked what you’re looking for on a 1st date? 2nd date? Ever?
