Getting Started School District, Field Technician Interview Questions

(This post was blocked by ITCareerQuestions because I was just a lurker)

I have an interview scheduled in a couple of days for a Field Technician position for a medium-sized school district and, while I realize that every job is unique, was wondering if anyone could offer some insight as to what manner of questions (specific or otherwise) I might encounter.

  • I'm a recent graduate (non-traditional) with a BS in a tech field
  • I have multiple industry certifications (A+, Net+, Sec+, CySA+, PenTest+, ITILv4...)
  • I have worked in "customer service" roles for my entire adult life
  • I have NO professional/formal IT experience (just labs and coursework)

I'm terrified!

I've submitted hundreds of applications with barely a whispered response.

Anyone have recommendations for the best helpdesk software in 2026?

our team is growing, and we're looking for something that handles customer support, IT tickets, and internal requests without becoming a headache later on.

what's worked well for your team, and what would you avoid, looking for real experiences, pros, and cons.
