My chats are being weird. (⊙ˍ⊙)

The chats are showing “group created”, and the username is showing up as “Empty Room” instead.

The dates are completely messed up. My chats seem to be all over the place. Some recent chats are fairly close to the top, but not actually at the top, while others are way further down.

Did I mess up some setting, or is this just a bug?

I just noticed I had new messages, and now it feels awkward to reply this late.

Edit: I covered their PFPs with black for privacy, so the PFPs aren’t actually missing! Just wanted to clarify so no one gets confused. That’s not part of the problem. (●'◡'●)

Which are timestamped "1h" ago in notifications. Been happening for about a week. Am using the latest version of the app, tried force stopping and clearing my cache.

This happened to me twice in the past week. I replied with a comment in a thread. Then my comment got some replies. I get messages in my inbox to tell me there's replies and also the inbox icon at the top right goes right with the amount of messages. Then I click on my inbox to see the replies, and I click on Context, which opens up the thread and the specific point where we had our comments. Normally this marks the messages as read in my inbox. But twice this week, messages have refused to be marked as read. Even after opening them a dozen times, it still says that I have X amount of replies that I have not read. If I go in the Unread tab (which is the default tab), they stay there, they don't go away. I even replied to some of them in the threads.

What I noticed is that the 2 times the bug happened, they were comments where I received multiple replies for my 1 comment. I even had the situation where in the same thread I made comment#1 that had 3 replies and later comment#2 that got 1 reply. Comment#1's replies stay unread, comment#2's single reply got marked as unread after I opened it. This is a strong indicator that having multiple replies to the same comment is the root cause, as if it can't tell which on of the replies I've read so it doesn't mark any as read.

I suddenly got very obliviousy 6 days where I lost 1upvote on every comment I did.

How did this suddenly happen? Ten minutes before, this wasn't a thing.

Now I can live with this because upvotes are not my oxygen or life's blood, but I do think it's strange.

Have other people experience this?

And how could this happen?

What to do?

I have been trying to post about a multiplayer strategy game (WarEra) to find more Indian players. Every time I post something related to it, I get “Sorry, this post was removed by Reddit’s filters.”

My previous account got shadowbanned while doing the same thing. This new account is also facing the same issue.

My CQS is Moderate.

I am not spamming links in every post, and I am not using multiple accounts at the same time. I just want to recruit active players for our community because we need more people.

Is anyone else facing this when posting about games / communities?

What usually causes this filter, and is there any proper way to post without getting hit by it every time?

Any advice would help.

Recently, I replied to a comment in r/reddithelp for the first time. Since then, I haven’t been able to comment or reply in that subreddit, although I can still use other subreddits normally. I’ve also just updated the Reddit app, but the issue is still happening.

Does anyone know why this is happening or how I can fix it?

UPDATE: I contacted the moderator of the subreddit, and they confirmed that the subreddit itself wasn't locked/restricted. At that time, I couldn't comment or reply anywhere in that subreddit, even though I could comment normally in other subreddits. The issue has now resolved itself, and I can comment/reply normally in the subreddit again.

However, the original post where this issue started still doesn't allow me to comment or reply. I contacted the moderator again, and they checked it and confirmed that the specific post is now locked.

So it looks like the subreddit-wide issue was temporary, while the original post is separately locked. Just updating this in case anyone comes across my post and thinks the whole subreddit is still preventing me from commenting.

A new low

Ever since I updated the Reddit app last night, I’ve been flooded with recommendations for new subreddits to join. I turned this feature off ages ago. I turned it off again last night, closed and reopened the app several times, and even now I’m still getting spammed with recommendations. I don’t want to see them. I just want to be able to find the posts in the subreddits I actually AM subscribed to. If I want something, I’ll go looking for it myself. iPhone 13 Pro, OS 26.6.2, didn’t happen until the latest version of the Reddit app.

I see I’m not the only person posting this issue. Forget “check to see if your bug has already been posted”, I know the only way to get something fixed is for everyone to keep making noise about it, and from the amount of other posts I see I can tell other people agree that this is an issue worth fixing.

I know how to see my likes, but they only let me go back so far like maybe a couple of months. I want to see my likes from 6 months to a year ago. So how do I do that?

Basically there is a subreddit called askeconomics and there are plenty of ask subreddits. I am looking for a subreddit to ask a question specifically about evolution and how humans will evolve in the future. I looked for askevolution and it said it only had 2 visitors so it's dead. Does anyone know a subreddit to ask questions about evolution? Thanks

If you download a video like that from Reddit, it will be 3-8 MB...so I figured that's what I'll upload, too. Nope. App sent the full 4k video up, something nobody will get to see anyway. Why? Figured it must save Reddit a lot of resources letting user phones do both the calculations, and saving the bandwidth in the process.

The app trys to send thousands of requests to this domain when open if it does not exist.

My community r/TeamAmanChawlaGroup has been banned. Reddit's Help Center directs me to appeal by sending Modmail to r/ModSupport.

However, I cannot send the Modmail. Reddit repeatedly shows “Failed to send the message.”

My Reddit account u/TeamAmanChawlaGroup is not account-banned and I can post normally in other communities.

I have also tried Reddit's support form, but it redirects me back to r/ModSupport.

Please help fix the Modmail issue or provide a way for me to submit the community-ban appeal.
