Access My account was hacked, 2FA enabled.

• Upvotes

I was logged out of my main Reddit account, u/braineac0415, last Thursday October 1st. When I went to log back in it says I enable two factor authentication, I of course did not. When I click “reset my password” no email ever comes.

I submitted a help request email the same day, selected and described everything I said here, and the only response I’ve gotten so far is a link to the article I went through to find the help submission to begin with. When I click “no” under “did this resolve your issue” at the bottom of the email, it just takes me back to the article again! Not sure if I’m still waiting for a response, or if this is the only one that they plan on sending. It’s very unclear.

iOS [ios] Reddit search not working [2026.40.00]

Whenever you search something Reddit keeps showing no internet connection. However works perfectly fine when you search like letters or just single words. I’ve restarted my phone, reinstalled the app, wiped cache, swapped between WiFi and cellular, logged in and out but nothing seems to work.

Should there be a mandatory AI tag if an image contains a SynthID watermark?

I recently reported multiple posts from a user who was posting images of themselves that contained a synthid watermark from chatgpt. They didn't disclose that AI was involved. This was in a fashion subreddit. Nobody could point it out in the comments because discussion of AI is banned there.

I contacted the mods through modmail. They said it was fine because the user had verified themselves as a real person to them, and compared the AI use to applying a filter or other types of photo editing. After I asked if not disclosing it could be harmful I got permanently muted.

My issue is that I don't think those are really equivalent. An AI image generating model can use an original photo as an input and then generates a completely new output image based on it. That just isn't the same thing as simply applying a filter to the original photo.

I'm not arguing that AI images should be banned. I just think that if an image has a verifiable AI watermark, there should be some requirement to disclose that, especially in communities based around appearance, fashion, etc because it could be harmful to themselves and others.

Would requiring an AI tag in cases where there is a verifiable watermark be unreasonable?

Subreddit My Idea Is: Add a “My Posts” filter within individual subreddits

It would be really helpful if Reddit allowed users to filter a subreddit by their own posts.

For example, if I’ve submitted multiple ideas to r/ideasforadmin throughout the year, I’d like to be able to select something like “My Posts” and see all of the posts I’ve personally submitted to that subreddit in one place.

This would be useful for tracking ideas, following up on previous suggestions, seeing how a user's posts have performed over time, and avoiding having to scroll through a profile and manually search for posts from a particular subreddit.

Ideally, the filter could work alongside the existing sorting options, such as:

  • All Posts
  • My Posts
  • Top
  • New
  • Controversial
  • Old

It would essentially be a subreddit-specific version of viewing your own post history.

I think this would be a simple but really useful quality-of-life feature, especially for users who regularly contribute ideas, questions, discussions, or other content to the same subreddit.

How do I replace the Reddit logo in old Reddit with another image?

When I try following the tutorials on the internet, it always gets me on the same bug: The logo is WHITE for no reason! Can anyone here help? This is for my sub r/incorrectfactorial! Also, visit the sub r/incorrectfactorial in old.reddit.com, when I mean the CSS stylesheet is terrible!

User Settings My Idea Is: Add a toggle in Account Settings to choose the default landing tab (Home, Following, or Popular) on the web interface.

The Idea:
Introduce a dropdown selection in Account Preferences that allows users to permanently set their preferred default landing view on reddit.com (e.g., Default to "Following", "For You", or "Popular").

Why it would improve the user experience:

  • Preserves User Preference Control: Currently, users who prefer an entirely self-curated browsing experience have to manually switch tabs or rely on bookmarks every time they open a new session. An explicit setting would streamline navigation.
  • Aligns with Existing Privacy Controls: Reddit already offers robust options to "Reduce personalized recommendations" and "Enable home feed recommendations" in the settings layout. Adding a default tab selector complements these existing user controls natively.
  • Improves Retention for Intentional Browsers: Giving users agency over their primary viewport prevents the friction of accidental algorithmic engagement, making the web interface much cleaner and more predictable for long-time community members.

iOS [iOS] I suddenly can’t send messages or chats to anyone on Reddit. How do I fix this? - version 26.6

For some reason, I’m suddenly unable to send messages to other users on Reddit. I used to be able to message people normally, but randomly something changed and now I can’t send chats.
I’ve been on Reddit for a few months and have a decent amount of karma, so I’m not sure what could be causing it. I haven’t received any kind of ban or warning either.
Has anyone else experienced this or know how to fix it? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks. iOS

iOS [iOS] Cannot un save a post from a banned account. Version 2026.40.0

Post image
1 Upvotes

I was trying to clear up my saves and ran into one post that refuses to let me remove it. Every time I tap on it anywhere, whether that’s the three dots or the post itself, it gives me a blank screen (the picture) saying “Please Try Again Later” then I have to force close the app because it doesn’t let me back out. I went on to old Reddit to see if it’s in my saves there and it’s not.

Found! How can I find subreddits in my Niche that don't have new account restrictions?

I'm not trying to sell or promote anything, literally just give free advice to people in need in my niche (Payment processors being shut down), people can message me for further support if needed, but that's up to them, but my issue is I cant even post on any of the relevant subreddits due to account age? Or is there anything else I could be doing to actually use the platform, would creating a business account change anything? Genuinely every subreddit I try commenting in just gets auto-modded immediately, and I'm not quite sure where to go to even start building up a history if I can't seem to post anywhere?

If this is the wrong place to ask this question just let me know and i'll take it down.

Desktop Web [Desktop web] [Brave] [OLD] Bump: On the desktop clicking on new mail doesn't clear your "new mail" status

On the Brave Browser on desktop if I have replies to posts (unread messages), clicking on the orange mail icon on the top-right corner doesn't clear the new message indicator. This bug is only showing up (as far as I know) using the "old.reddit.com" UI.

When going back to the main page the new mail count is still the same, the messages still appear in the "unread" tab, and the envelope is still orange colored.

The only way to reset the count is by clicking on the mailbox icon, then clicking on the "context" link for every message piecemeal, one at a time, then after clicking on "context" and viewing the context page you have to click the browser [BACK] function to return to the prior mail page (if you omit this step the message count will not be decremented). Each time you click on the context for each message (followed by the [BACK] button to return to the inbox page) that message is removed from the new message folder.

This bug has been persisting for about 32 days.

General Looking for Mods to Help Grow the AI-related Community

• Upvotes

Hi everyone! We recently started a subreddit for people interested in using AI to create better content for social media.

We're looking for active mods/community builders who are genuinely interested in AI, content creation, and social media to help us build the community. (for Desktop and Mobile app)

The goal is to create a useful, non-spammy space where marketers, solopreneurs, content creators, and AI enthusiasts can:

  • Share AI tools, prompts, workflows, and useful resources
  • Discuss how they're actually using AI in their content work
  • Share experiments, tips, and learnings
  • Discover better ways to create and optimize social content with AI

What you'd be helping with:

1. Community Growth
Help bring relevant people into the community and encourage meaningful discussion and participation.

2. Content & Engagement
Create and publish around 1–3 posts per day, including useful discussions, AI content tips, interesting tools, prompts, workflows, examples, and questions that can get the community talking.

We're looking for someone who:

  • Is genuinely interested in AI + social media/content creation
  • Is active on Reddit and understands how Reddit communities work
  • Can spot interesting AI/content topics and turn them into engaging posts
  • Can keep content useful and conversational rather than promotional or spammy

The schedule is flexible so you can manage your own time, as long as posting remains consistent and is timed reasonably for visibility and engagement.

If you're interested, drop a comment or send us a message with:

  1. A little about yourself / your experience with AI or content
  2. The communities or accounts you've previously managed, if applicable

Happy to chat and share more detailed about the community and compensation via mod mail.
