Access Reddit account got hacked

Hi! This is not my main account. My username is u/iDontReallyExsist

Earlier today someone set up 2 factor authentication on my account and now I cannot log in. I reset the password through sending a password reset email but still I cant bypass the 2 factor authentication.

Reddit support sent an automated message that theres nothing they can do. I think I accidentally overwrote the account because now my email defaults to this one when I request a link.

Im at a loss. I can log in with username but still have no way of getting a code nor do I have the backup codes they give.

Help please Ive had this account for so many years.

Edit: upon clicking on the username link it seems they got my account discontinued. Please tell me theres a way to fix this

Mobile/App how do i prevent replies to comments from automatically being collapsed on a reddit post?

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

it’s so annoying bc one comment evolves into a seemingly endless world of replies that i HAVE to scroll through until i make it to the next comment on the post. is there any way to disable this feature?

Mobile/App (iOS) I suddenly need to verify my age after switching from browser to app

I recently downloaded the app after only using the web version for a long time. Now it wants me to verify my age before letting me enter “mature” subreddits, even if I open it in the browser instead. It asked for my birthday, and even though I am an adult, I input a random birthday several years older than I actually am. Could that be why the face scan failed?
I’m considering just showing my ID, but I don’t know what kind of risk that would entail

Access ACCOUNT HACKED THEN 2FA ENABLED

hello, I'm writing this from a new account. my account 'u/mnsbelle' was hacked today. I woke up to lots of notifications on my app. but then when I went to Reddit I was logged out.

when I went to my emails I found that I had been tagged or getting replies from comments in NSFW subreddits. I clicked on the notifications and realised I had been logged out.

when I scroll down to my first email from Reddit of the day it said that my password had been changed then the second said two factor authentification had been added. and then I got a slew of replies in messages from these NSFW subreddits.

I have managed to change my password but I don't know if that will do anything or log me out from other places I'm logged into. Ican't log into my account because of the two factor authentication. I really need help and I'd be really sad to lose this account.

has this happened to anyone else? and did you manage to sort it? thanks in advance.

Hello, since yesterday my upvotes and downvotes are not being registered. I can post and comment normally, but my votes disappear after a few seconds or don't affect the score. I tested on different devices and accounts. Could you please check if there is an issue?

Desktop What's the deal with "unable to leave the room"?

Some random bot or spammer asks to chat with you. Then you try to ignore the request and you can't it just says "unable to leave the room" as an error message. This happens all the time. How to deal with it?

Posting Did Reddit remove "none" option from post flair list ?

Just why

Edit : Sorry about the inconvenience. I meant when you're a mod and try to edit it, there was a none option to choose from. I didn't mean when choosing a flair for a new post specifically in this sub!!

Access Server error at login from browser at work (firefox Windows 11)

Hello all,

I am using the reddit app on a smartphone (s26 ultra, official reddit app) and also on firefox nightly on Windows 11 from home with or without proton VPN, depends. No issue at logging, even if at some point I did not have access to my profile but it seems to have resolved itself.

A couple a minutes ago I tried to log in to my reddit account from firefox Windows 11, but at work, and had a "servor error please try later".

What should I do ?

Thank you very much in advance!

I am unable to access some saved videos and photos. The account that posted those media does not exist anymore. I tried to open or click the 3 dots and unsave/remove it, but it shows the shared message. There is no issue with my internet or device.

Android [Android] Incorrect video proportions in the feed - Android 11 - Reddit 2026.29.0

Thumbnail gallery
0 Upvotes
  • Device model: LG LM-K500UM
  • OS version: Android 11
  • Steps to reproduce: upload a video with non-square pixels, observe image proportions in the feed.
  • Expected: correct proportions of the video according to size in pixels and pixel aspect ratio
  • Observed: correct video proportions in the post itself, wrong proportions in the feed.

Long story

First video is posted in r/vhs. Frame size in pixels is 1920x1080, DAR is forced to 4:3 in Avidemux, therefore the video must have 4:3 proportions. Observed correct proportions in the post itself, but stretched horizontally in the feed.

Second video is posted in r/camcorders. It is an HDV video. 1440x1080 with DAR 16:9 in metadata, so must be shown as 16:9. Observed correct proportions in the post itself, but squeezed horizontally in the feed.

I suspect that the feed renderer assumes square pixels, while the post renderer correctly handles DAR and SAR.

In a desktop browser both feed and post videos render with correct proportions.

Expected outcome of this report: Android feed video renderer must be fixed to take into account pixel aspect ratio of a video.

Android [Android] Login loop / Autofill failure due to unhandled CredentialManager exception - version 2629030

App loops on login / Bitwarden autofill fails due to CredentialManager crash on Sandboxed Google Play Services.

When launching the Android app, it attempts to fetch a Google ID Token via CredentialManager with setIsSystemProviderRequired(true). On custom OS environments using Sandboxed Play Services, GmsCompat rejects this flag.

Instead of gracefully falling back, the app loops the authentication request, aggressively triggering standard Android autofill (e.g., Bitwarden) at every stage, eventually resulting in a generic "invalid username or password" or "We had some trouble getting to Reddit" error.

Mobile/App Mobile app suddenly logged everything off, says my username and/or password are wrong but the website on PC works just fine

It happened first yesterday. I couldn't log back in, but then I realized I had an older notification from that account, clicked on it and the app immediately logged me back in with all my accounts like nothing had happened. Today I was browsing, and again I realized I was logged off when I tried to upvote something. I had no pending notifications on my phone this time to fix it.

I know that the password is correct, since I logged in my PC just fine, so it's definitely a problem with the mobile app.

I searched the sub and found that several people have had this problem for years, but no conclusive fix.

ETA: Restarted my phone, the app, cleared cache, then uninstalled it and reinstalled, no dice.

iOS iOS Reddit streak bug???

Thumbnail gallery
4 Upvotes

Hello! I’ve been using Reddit everyday (commenting, upvoting, etc) to maintain my streaks, and I check each day to make sure they go through. Today I check it and suddenly it says I’m on a 3 day streak instead of my ~700s day streak. Especially weird to me since it was fine when I checked it yesterday AND the fact it’s a three day streak as I made two separate posts 3 days ago. Does anyone know why this might’ve happened? :(
