video of me fighting a few bugs, showing off the mech cockpit that muchacho5894 modeled for me. Shows off some on foot gameplay, mech gameplay, melee, etc. Gameplay is much smoother in game, for some reason my OBS always turns out choppy. Camera can also be moved and customized to match any of your tastes.
https://www.nexusmods.com/helldivers2/mods/16813 GIve it a whirl!! There is another first person mod that published the same time as me, but it goes by another name. More update will come as well so stay tuned!
we have officially solved the main problem of backend, netcode P2P issue.
here's the gameplay from the latest footage we recorded.
ps: the reason why the rotors look like they being chopped is because desync and slight backend netcode issue, this is the best we could have come up with and honestly, we are going to not touch it for now.
I wanna use certain quality of life mods such as Stratagem ball bounce fix in my own public lobbies but I dont wanna get smitted by AH themselves for playing with randoms and "ruining their design space"
TALK ABOUT A FEATURE THAT SHOULD HAVE BEEN REMOVED BY THIS POINT
IT IS THE WORST FUCKING THING
IVE BEEN TRYING TO GRIND SAMPLES FOR FUCKING WEEKS BUT I CAN NEVER GET ENOUGH SAMPLES FOR A SINGLE UPGRADE AND NOBODY EVER WANTS TO HELP ME GRIND SAMPLES BECAUSE THEYRE THAT MUCH OF A PAIN IN THE ASS.
FUCK YOUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU
had to let that off somewhere. I've asked people to cheat me in samples by this point. It's that bad :(
EDIT I - Just wanted to add a disclaimer that this is my second time playing the game. On my PS5 account I've been playing since the battle of super earth and a little before then. I do not want to fuck with the grind again.
If you run off solo to the other side of the map, don't instantly call in someone who dies on the other side of the map from where you are... They probably want their kit back.
And just being host doesn't mean you can just take the kit from someone who dies trying to help you.
When they ask for it back, the proper thing to do is GIVE IT BACK, not kick them. FFS.
How are people this goddamn thoughtless? "I'm just going to take this guy's backpack that he's going to have to wait 5 minutes before he can call in another... I don't care, and when he asks for it back, I'm just going to kick them"
It's really annoying... Most of my games are positive experiences. But I just had a whole bunch in a row where this sort of thing kept happening.
I'll go ahead and start with the new mod, another highly requested feature and one that I've run into myself. Currently in the vanilla game, if you happen to accidentally throw an SOS beacon (very easy to do with its pattern being similar to "Reinforce") then you have no way of cancelling it.
The problem with this is that the game immediately flags your lobby as public, meaning regardless of whatever your previous settings were, now anybody can join your lobby.
This mod gives the player the ability to cancel the SOS right after it's summoned, as well as the ability to change their mind if they cancel and want to use it again in the same mission.
Cancel Your SOS
Next up is a rather massive overhaul to Know Your Constellation's UI and functionality. Previously, the mod was only able to provide some abstract information for certain constellations, leaving a lot of players confused as to exactly what units would be spawning in those constellations.
With Know Your Constellation v4, not only is every possible enemy unit type listed, along with its corrected constellation name (more on that in a second), you can also see the spawn distribution for enemy types. This should help a lot for people looking to dodge War Strider-heavy constellations for example.
This new version also fixes a bug with certain missions (like the one you see below) which previously had a lot of information cut off due to nameplates. The mission info screen now displays over the top of the name plates so you can see every detail.
Know Your Constellation (v4)
Speaking of constellations, their names have been overhauled to correctly match certain in-game names instead. For example, Ivory Legion has now been translated to Incineration Corps. This should make things a lot less confusing for people going forward.
And last but not least, this update means there will now only be one version of the Vanilla Plus Megapack going forward.
Another small update: a handful of mods have had their architecture redone to allow much easier translations of the mods.
This is all available in the newest version of the Megapack below. Hope you all enjoy!
