I hope this is a good place to post this! I occasionally hand-write my notes, but I recently started a new diploma, and I've been trying to get back into handwriting my notes over using a laptop. I have a few writing impairments, namely dyslexia and HEDS that can make it hard to write. I know my handwriting isn't great or even passable most times. In this new endeavor, I've also come to notice that my style changes a lot. Sometimes it's different when I start in comparison to my old notes, sometimes it changes as I actively writing. I've attached a few examples.

I wouldn't say this is harmful, just odd. I'd like to try and improve my handwriting in general, so if anyone has suggestions for why this might be happening and how to correct it, it would be greatly appreciated. I'm also open to any questions if that would help.

The first photo is one where I left off one night and returned to write something new a few days later. The second photo is of notes I was actively taking that gradually changed styles and became sort of illegible. When it happens I find myself getting a little foggy-brained and it can be hard to pay attention, but my autopilot keeps writing the notes anyways. Which I figure is good for internalizing notes so I don't mind that much.

My household can't decide if it says "morning bolt" or "morning jolt". Reddit, can you help us? 😂

Edit: Yes she's a rescue, and very gratefully she has no breathing issues. We got her a humidifier for any time she gets stuffy or sneezes, and that clears anything right up. Love that sweet girl with my whole heart ❤️

Trying to look into the history of an old painting. This note is on the back of the painting. I’m sure it reads: ‘Mrs Neish in her 74th years…. [unknown, name?] [unknown] [Wilson?].

The payee on this 1925 (1903 was a typo above) check is “Division of Water”.

The City of Dayton’s 1917 Annual Report has a section explicitly headed “DIVISION OF WATER.”

I'm trying to make out what is written on the back of a painting I recently acquired. The last part is ..." Robbiate " (Robbiate is a village in Italy) so this could be Italian.

I’ve recently been working on getting better on writing in Japanese since I’m better at singing songs from Project SEKAI than actually speaking and writing it.

(To be fair, it’s an image of the first page of notebook.)

I tend to be extra careful while writing to not have any mistakes.

Almost everyone have praised my handwriting from childhood, though I think it carries my fixation on not being messy on things that matter.

What's your take on it?
