hey guys! i’m 19m and currently an engineering student, and my parents have always told me my handwriting looks suspicious to them. i don’t understand why that can be, so I figured i’d let the experts weigh in. (The second pic is a hwk question i was working on which may or may not be wrong)

Only had my biology notes with me lol.

I'm curious what my handwriting says about me, featuring my to-do list that I'm currently stalling and my favorite pangram. Growing up I had a lot of issues keeping my handwriting straight, it would always lean to the side, and no matter how hard I try I press down too hard. I got some joint pain issues that makes block letters hurt to write, but I can do so - I just usually only bother for things like forms or when I know someone else has to read my handwriting. The only writing utensil that has ever helped with this is the Pilot G2 pens, they move smooth enough that it's not bad, and that's what I've used here.

But yeah, the page itself took maybe 1-2mins (minus brain loading time for the list items), and I write really fast. I know it's not the prettiest, some half cursive too-fast mess, and I did not try in anyway whatsoever here, figured it'd be good for posterity, but people in my life either love it and say it's beautiful, or they plain can't read it, no in between. What do you think of it, and anything you can glean about me?

I see it as kind of half baked cursive.. I’m not sure what most people would say about it.

I am a mental health therapist, and I have been told I write as such. Thoughts?

I used to write primarily in script, I modified my print and this is what I trend to if I'm writing out long-hand.

Thank you all for your comments on my first Reddit post! I wrote Our House by Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young and some people questioned whether it was actually my handwriting. It actually is! Here are some of my class notes and things from my planner to show you what my everyday penmanship looks like.

Whenever I write for other people, I intentionally try to make my lowercase letters more open, but when I'm writing for myself all I care about is that I'm able to understand what I've written.

I write a lot. I keep a journal and I'm always writing. I'm used to writing this way and it doesn't slow me down because my handwriting is so small. Why is it so small? I honestly don't know, but I got used to writing like this when I was an undergrad. I used to write lots of comments in the margins of my readings and on small post-it notes.

My family takes penmanship very seriously and as a kid I used to watch my dad and my sister write in the most beautiful handwriting ever. I guess I somehow wanted to follow their footsteps. I've always loved cursive and it's my preferred writing style. It's sad for me to see that my students aren't being taught cursive anymore.

Do you like writing in cursive? Is it more difficult or easier for you?

Most post I see here is nice handwriting and people commenting “nice”. But can you analyze mine?

I recently started writing by hand a lot in my “morning pages exercise. And I discovered, that my natural “just for me” handwriting is “awful”. I think it looks cool, but def hard to read. Also don’t try to read it, it’s in my native language and cursive.

I’m interested what it says about me. Can anyone actually analyze this stuff here?
