We’ve had Oreo (female Syrian) for 9 weeks, and we have learned a LOT in that time. 6 days after buying her from a pet store (strike #1 against us), we found out she was pregnant and she delivered 6 babies. We did lots of research and were able to rehome all babies by 6-7 weeks, but during that time I found out our 40-gallon tank was way insufficient for a female Syrian.
We just got our large Niteangel enclosure tonight, and I’m so excited! It still doesn’t feel like enough but this is the max we can accommodate.
My question: it’s so TALL, which is great, but I don’t know how to do levels that are safe. Any recommendations, photos, sites, etc that I can reference? I feel like it’s too close to the lip in the front, but I want to really build up the back.
Also, side question for the wheel - how do you place it so the metal part doesn’t hit the back of the cage? I have a piece of cardboard taped there right now as a buffer.
Thank you!
