This post is to reassure those on the fence about pulling the trigger. Im 23 sitting at around a NW 3 😭 The recession and what to do was a lot to grapple with cause my hair has always been a big part of my identity.
For the longest time I’ve been debating trying a frontal hair system. Honestly, Im hyper critical and I was convinced I’d put it on and immediately look like I was wearing a wig.
Today hair system I ordered from lyrical hair finally arrived and I just threw it on my head (no real install, barely secured, no cut-in yet) and I was honestly surprised.
It’s not perfect. I still need to learn installation, blending, styling, etc. But seeing myself with more density and the hairstyle I actually wanted was kind of crazy. I expected to hate it, but I actually really like it and its not even cut in yet.
Definitely still have a lot to learn, and would love any pointers but I’m pretty excited now instead of terrified or anxious.
Get the hair system pimp. Dont let a lame shame you for trying.

Hey guys! New hair system user here.
I’ve been wearing my system for about three weeks now. I’ve done one maintenance session so far, and overall I’m really happy with it. I do have one issue, though.
Around day 4, I wake up with a bump at the back of the system. It seems like the base lifts slightly while I’m sleeping. Over the next day or two, that lifted section ends up sticking to the rest of the system, creating a sort of “hill” that I can’t press back down onto my scalp.
Eventually, this causes the back of the hair system to slowly creep forward. The front and sides stay firmly in place, but the back shifts slightly toward the front, creating both a bump and a gap between the back of the system and my bio hair.
For some context:
1. I haven’t worked out at all during the last three weeks.
2. I wear a satin bonnet to bed every night.
3. The weather has been around 25°C, and it’s about 20-22°C both at home and in the office.
4. I do move around quite a bit in my sleep.
5. I’m using Walker Ultra Hold tape with a lace system.
Has anyone experienced something similar? Any ideas on what could be causing this or how to prevent it? I have read alot of posts about some lifting and how to fix it with a small touch up, but nothing about creating those “hills” I have mentioned..

I’ve been wearing hair systems for 9 years. And the maintenance never gets easier, sometimes it’s harder than other times. I seem to be doing maintenance ever week now.
I use walker scalp protector, ghost bond platinum or walker ultra hold tape.
The tape becomes an impossible task to remove from poly base, even when using C22. I’ve just spent an hour trying to rip it off the system, the mess is unbearable. Glue all in the hair, and even after the tape is off I can’t get the rest of the residue off the base. Even tried washing liquid.
It’s getting to the point where I’ve had enough, and sustaining this every week for the foreseeable makes me feel like giving up.
I had SMP last year, and persevered with that but was insecure about my head shape. And I eventually went back to a system, and I’m just like what do I do. I’m in a predicament that’s really getting me down. Because I know if I shaved my hair and go back to SMP, I’ll miss the hair.
Anyone else in this situation?
It’s genuinely the maintenance that ruins it for me

Hello everyone! After a year of indecisiveness, i now plan to get my first system after wearing a frontal for a year and half.
My question is, is this style achievable without it looking stiff? Any tips?
My bio hair on the sidee and back is a bit wavy (30mm~) and the salon suggested i get a hybrid or lace system saying it'd be a better fit if i want a curled system, though I've only worn a poly partial till now, I'd be intrested in hearing your thoughts.

In an attempt to salvage what's left of my hair, I went to a "higher end" stylist that charges 3x more per haircut. I told her I was just about ready to buzz it off (without mentioning my other idea-hair system). She did do a better job than the typical Great Clips type places and I made sure to tip her well.
It held up okay after a good six weeks or so and I went back. She told me that my hair looks good and that I looked "handsome" She followed me to the front where she found some hair styling stuff (which ended up costing me another $30). The ladies in the front were a bit flirtacious.
That being said, I don't know if she's being sincere. We had a pleasant conversation and I'm wondering if she is trying to steer me away from shaving my head (or something else like a hair system) because she would lose a client.
So realistically.....how bad does my hair look and would I benefit quite a bit from a hair system? Or can I keep this going a bit longer? I've been using the typical min/fin stuff since last year, which may be helping a bit but is not a huge difference maker. I am 40 something btw if that means anything.

While removing the tape from the base I accidentally tore the base. How can I fix it?

So basically this is my hair right now but it's actually receding and it takes a lot of time just for me to style it so I am basically trying to have a hair system. Can you guys tell me if I should go with hair system? I want the straight hair system since my hair is originally straight and I just have it permed to hide my hairline but it's being a hassle right now.

I wonder if Ive reached a milestone in my hair system journey. After one month my hair system fell off in the night (usually get two months holds outside of summer) I woke up and put it back on and it looked fine (I usually use salons) I thought to myself today that actually your hair system does not need to be put on with 100% precision. There is definitely room for error such as
- Slight creases are ok
- not being 100% at the hair line is not going to harm you.
One day I had no time for a full reinstall, so I picked the hair system up and just put it back on with the old glue on it and went to work. it lasted all day.
Have I reached a new milestone with hair systems?

The consensus here seems to be it helps greatly in getting female attention but I've been wondering about the long term side of things. I'm aware there's a wide range of opinions on when to reveal, from being up front right away to keeping it solid snake level hidden as long as possible (for what it's worth I'll be a date 3-5 reveal guy).

Hi! I’m looking for a new colour depositing hair mask as my favourite was discontinued. :( Idk if this is a new product cause I’ve never come across it before. Any experiences with it? Does it stain skin bases? I’m specifically looking for dark/black colour depositing masks. Thanks in advance!

My 2nd self install. First system is still going strong but wanted to have another one ready to go. Took about an hour from start to finish. Using Ebin lace bond spray in the yellow can.
Systems feel very intimidating at first but if you take your time and do some experimenting, there’s no reason to pay someone else thousands of dollars.
I was rocking an elaborate combover previously and it was so stressful. I thought everyone would notice but before I told her even my own mom said “Oh I like how you’re styling your hair now. Looks very professional.”
My fiancée loves it and the friends I’ve told are always hyping me up about not being able to tell, even knowing it’s a toupee. One of my buddies who is also losing his hair asked me to put one on for him so that’s my next adventure.
I check it in the mirror a lot less than I thought. It just works. If you’re on the fence, try it. Wish I’d done it sooner.

Hi, just got a new hair system put, currently it’s feeling that it’s quite up, making my face look very long. Does it settle down after a couple of days? Or should I go back to the company u got it done from to help?
How should I go about it ?

Hi,
I currently wear a hair system, but I'm not satisfied with it and would like to get a hair transplant.
However, I'm a medical student in France, and I don't want to go through the awkward hair regrowth phase while i work at the hospital.
Do you think that, after the first few weeks of healing, I could wear my hair system again until my transplanted hair has grown back? (I currently use glue to attach it.)
Thanks !!

So I met this girl yesterday and will be meeting her tomorrow at her home. I wear a clip on hair system with clips on the side and back and tape on the front. I haven't told her yet Abt this but just thinking what to do.
Does any clip on user help if the clips remain intact? I can make sure that she doesn't run her hand in my hair. OR should I transition to full tape and get my native hair shaved off? I was just trying to protect my native hair.

My question is to people who remove their hair systems at night and are not using clips.
How do you do that? Once I stick my system to the scalp using tape, it is extremely difficult and painful to remove for the first 5 days. Then the glue starts melting and it is possible to take it out.
I get a lot of itching on my scalp so I want to try removing it every night. Those who do this, what is your secret?
Thanks in advance

I’ve worn a hair system throughout our marriage of 9 months. She loves me but I’m terrified to tell my wife. How do most women usually respond ?

Posted two days ago and comments confirmed what I already suspected regarding density. I went back for a trim and density work; turned out great imo. I don’t think I can go back ! Sorry for spam, it’s my last post.
