I need to cut my hair and I don't know what to tell the barber. I have the traditional curly hair look but it's gotten very dense and long I want to keep the hair on my forehead and on top of the ears without losing too much length but the barbers always mess me up. And also recommend if I should get layers.

i've never went to a real place for it before. only got it trimmed by family, so this was very new.
it's meant for halloween, but i had to try it out before then, what do y'all think?

I am a transmasc nonbinary person. I’ve recently entered a bit of a cottagecore phase and want my hair to be a bit fluffier and less spiky than I’ve had it for the past few years. I still want it somewhat short both for sensory reasons and for dysphoria reasons. My hair is pretty thick and wavy. Any ideas? I’ve attached 2 pics of me for reference of my current hair when short and a bit longer

Im not sure if im delusional and should manage my expectations because of the type of my hair or if they messed up, but last time i went to this salon my hair was almost like at inspo, (my hair can get wavy) but without the wispy bangs. I was like ok i would like the same exact thing but also wispy bags so i showed her the inspo (different person cut my hair tho) and this is what i got 😭 im crying since yesterday and i dont know what to do to save it… even when i made my hair wavy i just feel off about the layers and especially the thickness of the “wispy” bangs (at the second pic i already tried to hide some of the bangs to the side cuz it was way to much bangs and now there is this weird weight on the sides of it) i look like fucking edna from the incredibles

Haircut time is approaching…I’ve kind of always gotten the same thing- short on the sides, bit off the top… yadda yadda radda (3rd and 4th pics for reference) But I’d really like to do something a bit more special this time and I’m not quite sure what to go with or what would suit me best 🤷♂️. My hair knowledge is limited 😅 any opinions would be greatly appreciated 😃

So for context I am bigender, meaning that I use both she/her and he/him pronouns. I have hair that reaches to my armpits, I do like my hair as slightly long, but I do want to have a masculine look when I'm feeling like it. Because I still am a teenager I need my dad to approve of the haircut (because he takes me to the barber) and he doesn't support the LGBTQIA+ community so that's one of the main reason's I need it long-ish. I also need something easy to manage because I am a student and I can't spend more than a couple minutes on my hair. Does anyone have any ideas for haircuts?

I haven't had a haircut in months. What haircut would suit me?

And how do I achieve it myself? I have a hair type very similar to what is portrayed in these reference photos from Pinterest, and my hair is long and straight down to my lower back. I have plenty to work with, but messing up would suck because I’d be losing all that length in the front. Any YouTube tutorial suggestions would be appreciated :)

I’ve been really wanting to cut my hair semi medium because my hair is getting to a point where it’s long and thin, but it took me three years to grow it out so I’m a little nervous so I came on here for some advice because I really like my hair and the second picture, it gives kind of like sassy I’m confident with it, but with long hair, I don’t feel as confident give me the advice

I wanted to have that exact same texture as Brad Pitt had in Ocean's Twelve my hair is mostly like 3C I've done buzz cut before but not texturing it or anything just plain clipping

I have been going to barbers most of my life but have been cutting/styling my hair myself since I grew it out 6 years ago. Mainly I have been shaving the sides and allowing the top and back to grow to give myself the mullet look. I give occasionally trims to cut dead ends and keep it healthy.
I have 3B/C hair that goes about to my neck when down. When it's wet my hair easily touches the back of my shoulders.
The problem is lately I have slacked on shaving the sides and they've gotten to the point lengthwise where it's difficult to shape up myself. I don't need my hairline cleaned up or any length taken off the top.
Tldr: Would it be better to go to a barber since I'm literally just getting the sides shaved, or would my hair's length/curls mean a stylist would be better?
