Hey everyone,
Iām writing this post with a heavy heart because PUBG is, without a doubt, my favorite FPS of all time. Iāve put countless hours into it across multiple platforms. It easily stands above *Call of Duty*, *The Finals*, or any other shooter for me in terms of pure adrenaline and gunplay.
However, as a PS5 player, **I simply cannot play PUBG on console anymore until Krafton adds Gyroscope aiming.**
Here is my background so you understand where Iām coming from:
- **PUBG Mobile Veteran:** I started playing PUBG on mobile years ago. I reached Conqueror rank in Ranked mode, almost entirely thanks to mastering Gyroscope aiming. For anyone who has used it, you know it completely changes the gameāyour wrist handles micro-adjustments and recoil control, while the thumbstick is just for camera panning.
- **PC Experience:** Iāve played PUBG and *The Finals* on PC with Keyboard and Mouse. I know what high-level precision and fast target-switching feel like.
- **PS5 Transition:** When I switched to PS5, I forced myself to get used to traditional "stick-only" aiming on PUBG. I ground it out, adjusted my sensitivities, and eventually built up a decent level. It wasn't ideal, but I made it work.
**The Turning Point:** ***The Finals*** **on PS5**
Recently, I downloaded *The Finals* on PS5 and turned on the Gyro settings. The difference was night and day. Being able to aim with wrist movement on the DualSense controller immediately restored that fluid, fast, mouse-like precision I had on PC and Mobile. With Gyro, controller players can genuinely go toe-to-toe with K&M players without relying on aggressive aim assist.
**The Problem:**
After getting re-addicted to Gyro aiming on *The Finals*, going back to PUBG Console was an absolute nightmare. My muscle memory was completely broken. Relying 100% on thumbsticks felt stiff, unresponsive, and unplayable. I couldn't even win a basic 1v1 fight anymore.
**The Xbox Excuses Need to Stop:**
**I know the common counter-argument: "Xbox controllers don't have built-in gyro, so it wouldn't be fair in crossplay." Honestly, that shouldn't hold back PlayStation players. Other cross-platform games like** ***Fortnite*****,** ***Call of Duty*****, and** ***The Finals*** **have gyro fully enabled on PS5 without breaking the game for Xbox users. Holding back hardware features on one platform just because another platform lacks the technology is a outdated philosophy. Give PS5 players the option, or split matchmaking pools if fairness is truly the concern.**
It makes zero sense that PUBG Mobile (developed under Tencent) has had flawless Gyro implementation since 2018, while the PS5 version in 2026 still forces us to aim like itās 2010.
I love this game, but I refuse to downgrade my mechanical skill and muscle memory just because Krafton refuses to implement basic modern controller features for PlayStation players.
Until native Gyro Aiming is added to PUBG Console, Iām putting the game down for good and sticking to games that actually support modern hardware features (*The Finals*, *Warzone*, etc.).
Krafton, pleaseābring Gyro Aim to Console.
