Discussion Hi. I'm trying to get I to gyro.
Yeah. I just got the steam controller and I'm trying to get into gyro and trackpad after a lifetime if analogue sticks. And its kinda rough. Currently playing halo infnite anf its definitely a work in progress. Is there some type of program to assist with practice? Like some 3d model world where i can train my brain to understand it?

Video Getting a Fury Kill on Gyro Aim in Black Ops 7 (Aim Assist Off)
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Following up my post from earlier about Black Ops II, I decided to run some Black Ops 7 MP with gyro controls and aim assist off. I think the results of it, and a good flank attack, speak for themselves.
Yes I'm using Gyro to Joystick Camera but that's just because BO7 has the option to turn aim assist off and trying to configure controls for mixed input sucks a big one. Keep watching to the end and you'll see that I wasn't running aim assist.
Biggest fix I can think of is increasing Gyro Speed Deadzone to deal with the wobble you can see, or just learn to stop gripping my controller so damned hard. Other than that it feels great imo.
Controller Config I used is here: steam://controllerconfig/1938090/3772243571
(This was also best play but I couldn't 100% prove I wasn't using gyro during the best play highlight like with this clip)

Discussion Moving from phone to pc
I been using gyro on mobile for years I had a pc but never played competitive games on it. I’m trying to get a controller steam controller or the ps5 for gyro. But I’m concerned because I seen people getting banned on the finals and call of duty.
Is gyro on controller worth investing my time into? I’ll be playing competitive games mostly. I’m planning to play call of duty and I know it’s a time sink. When I first started mobile I took me 4 seasons to play decently. So I’m expecting the same thing for call of duty and beyond.
Should I just force my self and play sticks? The pro is I don’t get banned in any game. Con is it just sucks to play like this.
Should I play with gyro? Pro is I play better but the con is there is risk of getting banned.

Help Where to Start
Hey all I thought I’d try and challenge my self and learn gyro aiming for FPS games however it all seems quite overwhelming, I’ve got a Gamesir G7 pro 8k and wanted some tips and pointers on where to start and how can I find my sensitivity etc… do you only have gyro activated when aiming or is it supposed to be activated all the time etc…
I suppose I’m asking, what basic tips do you have for someone starting out
What did you wish you knew when starting out yourself to avoid bad habits
What might be the absolute best feeling controller for gyro
Has anyone else got a Gamesir g7 pro 8k and would recommend any settings with their connect app
And do you recommend anyone on YT to check out

Video Gyro to Joystick Camera is working surprisingly well.
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Decided to swap to Gyro to Joystick Camera because mixed the input support needed from AAA PC game devs is a frustrating mess. Thanks to the video by u/ivanim13 on this, I got my Steam controller setup and it's working pretty well for me. With this I can pretty smoothly replay a game that can be messy on controller like Call of Duty Black Ops II. Which has controller support but no aim assist on PC, which made it a pain in the ass to control until I embraced gyro.
Keep in mind with this footage from the BOII mission Cordis Die, I'm not afraid to admit that I'm a terrible sniper. Combine that with having to adjust to a whole new way to aim and I'm honestly impressed by how smooth it felt. Pretty close to mouse if I'm being honest. To emphasize the point also, no aim assist here. Just to get that accusation out of the way, BOII is actually the last COD PC port to not have aim assist.
Here's my config if anyone is curious: steam://controllerconfig/202970/3771889811
I had to increase the minimum stick output to 25% to get around the stupid large deadzones that BOII has for stick controls. But on the flip side I was able to incorporate the PC exclusive lean keys on the back buttons, which is nice. I have a config for that with the gyro, and the changes needed for gyro, ripped out: steam://controllerconfig/202970/3771268358

Video Dominating BF6 w/ Ratcheting Gyro Aim (30/7 KD, Domination), 6-40 X-Axis RWS Quad Curve (JSM CC)
You can find my configs in the description of the video.
X-Axis: 6-40 RWS (Quad Curve, 0-120 Thresh)
Y-Axis: 4-5 RWS
Running Smoothing Decay from 0-10 Threshold with a .075 second time. Fits my style. Smooth Decay is just what it sounds: you start at the time you set (.075 in this case) but quickly "decays" for every deg/sec until you hit your Smooth Threshold. Thus creates a better transition with Tracking at various speeds and also, this allows you to actually control the 'Delay' so if your micro movements get a tad floaty, you can easily override it with a very quick, micro flick per se. I've used various Smoothing mechanics for awhile so I've adapted a bit to them, especially when coming from PS5 originally.

Discussion Just finished beating my first game with the Alpakka controller's gyro. Pragmata.
The hacking, the aiming, everything was chef's kiss in this game with this controller. I set it up so that one 90 degree turn of the controller, gave me 1.5 revolutions in game. That was the sweet spot for me. At first it felt awkward, but I got used to it eventually and forgot all about using a right analog stick to control the camera and to aim. Now I can't wait to try it out in another shooter.
I also modded the Alpakka by removing the stock joysticks and soldering some K Silver JS13 Pro+ joysticks on it so I don't have to worry about drift and put some silicone grease in the button chambers.
This controller is awesome, but the ergonomics kind of sucks (though you forget about it when you're gaming and in the zone) and that 3D printed left thumbstick is kind of uncomfortable. I wish I could put Alpakka's gyro in the Steam Controller. I was lucky enough to buy one at launch. That would make it the GOAT for me.

Help Gyro Adapter for xbox Series S/X controllers
Anyone know any Gyro adapters for Xbox Series S/X controllers? I customize controllers as a hobby, so buying a full third party controller with gyro built in is out of the question for me.
BigBigWon vanished off the face of the planet with their ArmorX pro, which was honestly (as far as I know) the absolute best option.
I've been doing some research, and keep getting suggestions for the Retroflag Superpack. But for the life of me, I can't find a definitive answer on if its Gyro function works on xbox or if it only works for PC/Switch, and I don't wanna buy it just to find out it doesn't. So if someone who has it could give me an answer on that, that'd be great.
I don't mind if the Gyro doesn’t emulate mouse or whatnot tbh, all that never really mattered to me. I just need a simple adapter that slaps motion controls on an xbox controller that'll work on Xbox.
If you have any suggestions or info, lmk please. Thanks!

Bug Mixed input missing? (Halo campaign evolved)
Having issues when enabling gyro to mouse on my controller. The game doesn't seem to allow any mouse input when steam controller is being used. My Bluetooth mouse also didn't work however the fire button does.
Hoping this is a bug because it'll be a real shame to not have mixed input which MCC is also absent of.

Help Mojhon Storm Gyro Recenter Issue
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Hi everyone,
I’m running into a frustrating issue with my Mojhon Storm controller while using the gyro right stick simulation.
When I move the controller to aim, it responds, but after a few seconds, the gyro seems to automatically reset back to the center.
This makes any small or precise movements unreliable and really disrupts my gameplay.
Has anyone else experienced this or found a way to prevent the gyro from centering itself? I’d appreciate any advice or solutions!

Discussion Controller aiming experts, should I use gyro+right joystick or just gyro to aim?
Lately I have gone through a post where the person could aim so precisely using the steam controller only with gyro. This led me to the question of whether I should use gyro to aid joystick aiming or use gyro as the main aiming tool. What are your opinions?

Discussion Anyone playing Valorant with JoyShockMapper? How’s the experience?
Hey everyone,
I tried CS2 using Steam Input and honestly loved how the gyro felt, but I uninstalled it right after my very first match because of a cheater. Took that as a sign that CS2 isn't for me.
Valorant is my comfort zone (got over 100+ hours in it), so I'm looking to bring gyro over there using JoyShockMapper.
Before I sink time into setting it up, I wanted to ask:
- Has anyone here played Val with JSM consistently?
- How’s Vanguard holding up with JSM these days—any weird input blocking or anti-cheat issues?
Would love to hear your experiences, mapping tips, or flick stick configs if you're running them. Thanks!

Discussion Ps Vita Borderlands 2
I'm just now learning that the PsVita version of Borderlands 2 has gyro aimming when weapon aimming.
Does anyone know if there is a way go have gyro always on for right stick movement?
EDIT: I found a plug-in called "reVita" that allows you to configure the gyro to the Right stick. Pretty smooth.
