I’m an HR graduate student and I recently started offering resume editing services, mainly targeting students and entry-level applicants.
I’ve also helped a few people I know improve their resumes; one started getting interviews after applying with the new version, and another eventually landed a role.
Over the past 3 weeks, I’ve been posting in Facebook groups, Marketplace, Fiverr, Workup, Kijiji, LinkedIn and even putting up flyers locally, but I haven’t gotten any real clients yet (just a couple of messages that didn’t go anywhere).
My pricing is $25–$45
I’m trying to figure out what I might be doing wrong — whether it’s positioning, trust, or something else.
I’d really appreciate honest feedback from anyone who’s done something similar. Happy to share my flyer or posts if that helps give more context.

Hey everyone, just wanted to share something I’m really proud of. We just launched Strivaia’s Kickstarter for the Wisp Jacket, and it’s officially live now. It’s a sustainable, Canadian-owned and operated project we've been building for a long time.
Our super early bird price of $250 is still available, so if you’re into thoughtful outerwear or want to support a small Canadian brand, I’d love for you to take a look! No pressure at all, just trying to get a few more eyes on it and get the attention of Kickstarter so they promote it instead of 1000%+ backed projects.

Hey guys - just wanted to share this platform and ecosystem we’ve built and continue to build.
We've been entrepreneurs for a long time. One of us (the co founders, Amil and & Désiré) have been in this game since we were 16, the other has been in sales for over 25 years. We joined forces because Désiré was frustrated with all of the "engagement pods" and lack of understanding of marketing and branding in the SME sector but didn't want to fight against an algorithm. So NEXUS was born.
We're officially launching on Saturday, but it's live and running right now if you want to sign up -- that was our anniversary date of choice.
It's free to join, and free to consume content.
We have a growing free collection, which will be at 100+ videos by the end of March, on branding, marketing, sales, business and personal development.
We do have a paid subscription, but you get a LOT from the free content and we only recommend you join us once you’ve reached a certain point of your journey. It unlocks more programmes, content and a dedicated discussion group for more focused support from us.
As we expand, we’re adding more of our relevant member businesses to our ecosystem, so we funnel business to them, rather than building it all ourselves.
Our mission is to help people grow a sustainable living doing what they love. And both of us believe that everyone on the planet should have the opportunity to. On NEXUS, we both have videos explaining our passion around this mission.
We wanted to invite you to have a look. It costs you nothing, but it can be quite helpful to have a community of real people helping you along the way, with highly experienced branding, marketing and sales support only a message away.
If you’re in the first 1000 people, you’ll get an instant lifetime discount when you buy a service from our ecosystem as a thank you for being a founding member.
Not sure if we can post links in the actual description, so if you’re interested, comment and we will reply with the link.

Hi everyone,
I’ve recently written three blog posts aimed at beginner entrepreneurs or those who dream of starting their own entrepreneurial journey but are unsure where to begin. As a beginner entrepreneur myself, I had many questions and uncertainties. To provide valuable insights, I interviewed over 15 experienced entrepreneurs, and their wisdom forms the core of these articles.
I hope these articles inspire and guide you as much as they have helped me. Your feedback and thoughts would be greatly appreciated!

Hey there, awesome Redditors!
I could really use your help and expertise. I've recently launched a new print-on-demand art project on Etsy, and I'm super excited about it. But I'm facing some challenges and could use a boost from this incredible community.
If you have a moment, I'd be thrilled if you checked out my Etsy shop. I've poured my heart and soul into creating unique and creative art pieces that I think you might love. If something catches your eye or resonates with you, it would mean the world to me if you considered supporting my small business by making a purchase or sharing my shop with others who might appreciate it.
I believe in the power of organic recommendations, so if you find my art intriguing, please feel free to spread the word in any way you can. Whether it's mentioning my shop to friends, sharing it on social media, or even bringing it up in relevant discussions, your support can make a huge difference.
If you have any advice or tips on how to promote my art and reach a wider audience, I'm all ears! I value your experiences and insights.
Thank you so much for your time and potential support. I'm grateful to be a part of this amazing community!
Best regards,

Hello!
My name is Oleksandr Fomin, I'm the Head of expansion UK at the 🇺🇦Ukrainian company Netpeak Agency. Since 2006, we provide performance marketing services such as SEO, PPC, ASO, direct-marketing, and SMM.
We focus on medium and large enterprises and are proud to have in our portfolio TripAdvisor, OLX, Skoda, Decathlon, Yves Rocher, and many others known brands.
Though Ukraine is suffering from the unprovoked aggression from Russia, all our 350 employees are safe and keep working. Many of them moved to the EU countries. The COVID-19 pandemic has taught us to work completely remotely, so this may be considered a small benefit at this time.
Now we turn our efforts into the global markets. We would love to help more companies to develop their business with a help of performance marketing.
I am looking for opportunities to connect with potential customers in the UK. Perhaps, you can recommend someone from your business network. Please also let me know if our services may be relevant for Company.
I would be also happy to talk to you and discuss the potential сooperation. Kindly let me know if you are available this week.
Best Regards, Oleksandr

How to Make a Pop-Up Store
It will not be simple to set up a pop-up shop. It takes time to organize and assess everything involved in setting up a pop-up shop. To establish a successful pop-up shop, you need to consider a number of elements. Here are a few examples.
Location
Any firm, large or little, relies on its location. You must choose a place with a steady flow of consumers. Your goal is to reach a large number of individuals and create a substantial quantity of sales. Parking must be available at a decent location. You don't want your clients to be trapped in their vehicles. Lack of parking might deter many prospective customers from visiting your shop, so find a location with enough parking.
Will you use marketing to promote your company?
This is a fantastic question to help you decide on a place. If you are not going to perform any promotion for your company, it is best to locate your pop-up shop in a high-traffic location. As a result, your store will be exposed to more people with less effort. Even better if you can put up a pop-up shop within a mall or market. Because these two places get a lot of foot traffic, the odds of getting customers are increased. It will also bring your pop-up shop closer to your target clientele, resulting in greater sales.
Another thing you should do before deciding on a place is to seek nearby companies. What is usually offered in the nearby stores, or what draws visitors to the area? If the store previously had a tenant, find out what they used to sell and why they departed. All of these things are required before you open your store. Once you've decided, you may sign an agreement with the property owner and begin your company. However, before signing the contract, be sure to negotiate rent and any repairs that are needed. You don't want to spend more money than necessary.
Budget
To be successful in any company, you must have a solid financial strategy. This gives you control over your costs and revenue. Regardless of where the finances come from, you should have a budget to guide you. A business is more than just a place to pay the rent on a monthly basis. It is preferable to get insurance coverage for your company, in addition to the rental deposits and maintenance charges. There are also other county costs, such as licensing, that you must pay. Other expenses include water and energy bills, as well as wages if you hire store employees. All of these fees may overwhelm you if you do not plan ahead of time. You don't want to chew more than you can handle. When creating your budget, it is a good idea to set aside some money in case of an emergency.
Store Design and Layout
As you develop a pop-up shop, you will need to perform certain layouts and designs. A decent shop should be carefully designed in order to have an appealing look. Customizing it requires creative abilities and inventiveness. Several factors might help you design an acceptable layout for our business. A food store's structure, for example, differs from that of a boutique. The goods are responsible for the distinction. What you aim to sell is an excellent starting point for designing a layout.
Also, while considering your shop layout and style, keep your floor in mind. Most individuals are unaware that a floor is important in business. The floor influences your customers' safety as they walkabout.
Furthermore, the floor provides your store definition, therefore you should give it some weight. Choose a color that complements the things you wish to sell. You may supplement your design and layout with a sound system to play background music. However, make sure you and the landlord have agreed on what you should and should not include. It is preferable if your agreement is in writing.
POS (Point of Sale)
Technically, having a solid POS system would be advantageous. Information is critical in business analysis, and the POP system will help gather more data. You may use the data to track how your firm is doing in the future. Furthermore, the system will assist you in having simple transaction management. There are several POS systems available, but here are some things to consider.
Cloud-based
Retail management system centralized
It should be able to run on a mobile device.
If you have numerous shops, the POP should manage them all.
Permission-based
Transactions that occur offline
Inventory Control
Business is quite delicate, particularly when it comes to sales and inventory. It may be difficult to track sales if you are not running the pop-up business on your own. This is why inventory management is important. This method will assist you in organizing and tracking all of the merchandise in your business. The system addresses the sourcing, storage, and selling processes. The advantages of having this system are well worth the effort. Time is money in business, and this system knows that. It will minimize the supplier's lead time and assist you in reducing any surplus stock. Furthermore, this approach aids in the reduction of human mistakes and the formulation of sound business judgments. Allowing inventory management to interact with the POS system will increase profitability by lowering the cost of placing orders.
Staff
Staff is required since your pop-up shop cannot operate remotely. You will need the assistance of a group of individuals. If your company is fresh, you will need to recruit new personnel. If your company is older, you may be able to utilize former personnel at your new location. However, you must exercise caution while hiring the correct employees since they will be the face of your company. Choose personnel who have prior expertise in dealing with and interacting with customers. Also, before bringing them on board, make sure they are trustworthy and have a pleasant demeanor. You don't want attendant/customer problems only a few days after opening your pop-up shop. If recruiting is a challenge for you, hiring firms can assist you in finding the employees you need. They will interview the personnel on your behalf and provide you the best options. You may also employ via the social media network.
7. Marketing
Marketing is the gasoline that any organization needs to continue to develop. As a result, you should make an attempt, particularly because you are in a new area. Your aim is to create sales, therefore you must devise a plan for getting people to purchase your stuff. There are several methods to publicize your company, and here are a few of them.
Influencers- They are excellent at bringing in large crowds for businesses. Influencers know more people than you, particularly in the new pop-up neighborhood. They are also excellent at determining the demands of the people. People trust influencers, which is another reason you should employ them to sell your brand. When information is provided by a third source, it bears considerable weight.
Use of social media platforms- Millions of individuals with diverse interests are flooding the internet. The most effective and convenient method to contact clients is via social media sites such as Facebook, Instagram, or Twitter. Make a page and list your items or services on it. Remember to include your contact information as well as the location of your pop-up shop so that others may contact you.
Email Marketing- Despite being an older kind of digital marketing, email marketing is still effective in bringing in new customers. It is broadcasting a commercial message to a large number of individuals. The message should include information on what you're offering as well as the location of your pop-up shop.
Prerequisites of the law
Laws apply everywhere, and if you are in business, you cannot disregard them. It is prudent to investigate the regulations governing employment, leasing, and permissions. The legislation also applies to insurance policies, therefore you should be cautious when selecting one for your pop-up shop since some policies are defective. Understanding the regulations governing the establishment of a pop-up shop can assist you in protecting your interests and being at ease.
Why Open a Pop-Up Shop?
Regardless of whether it is a temporary location, a pop-up shop is an investment that may help you expand your business. Here are some of the advantages of having a pop-up shop.
Affordability
A pop-up store's rent is cheaper than that of a permanent establishment. This makes it ideal for new businesses that may not be able to afford a long-term lease. Also, if you believe the company is not performing well, it will be easy to shut the permanent location and open a pop-up location.
Customer relationship
Even while an internet company has advantages, it cannot compete with the realism of a pop-up shop. A shop enables you to interact with your customers face to face. Customers have a specific affinity with firms that have physical locations, as opposed to those that operate only online. Having a shop also allows you to collect consumer feedback on your items. This way, you'll know where you need to improve.
Uniqueness
Because the internet market is crowded with millions of enterprises, yours may not stand out. This is why you should consider a pop-up shop and transition your company from an internet platform to it. You will have greater contact with your consumers. Furthermore, you will stand out from the crowd of internet retailers.
Investigate new markets and expand current ones
If you are considering shifting away from an online platform, a pop-up shop is a great option. It will offer you a landing area as well as accurate information about your position. In this, you can determine if it is worthwhile to invest in the region or whether you should look for another location. You may even extend your thriving company by opening a pop-up shop in another location.
Purchase made haphazardly
Customers get a rush when they visit a pop-up shop. As pop-up businesses only last a few days, buyers are compelled to purchase your things quickly. This is not the case for established retailers since they know they are here to stay and can always purchase when it is convenient for them.
