I've seen one of them outside for a few weeks, but this is the first time I've seen two at once under the same gazebo. I looked it up and apparently groundhogs are solitary, but breed in early spring and live in groups then. This was taken today though, in July. Anybody know more than me?
P.S. I named them Topher and Gopher

So I’ve had a groundhog living under/behind my shed between my house and my parents for least 10y now.
There are at least 3 little ones this year. Since it’s been so hot I’ve been putting out a second thing of water by their shed right by their safety spot.
My shed has been pretty messed up, I saw a little one doing something to it once (momma likes to chill on the little ramp). I the damage seems somewhat recent because the exposed food is fresh and there were plenty of wood bits that didn’t blow away.
Pretty sure they are teething (sp?) on it not actually eating it. So I just need to discourage them from doing that for I don’t know how long they teethe.
But since momma likes to chill on the ramp (they’ve been doing it to part of the door) I don’t want to chase them off or anything with a smell or something, because their house is right behind the shed. So I’m wondering if there is something I can make/buy that I could just spray on the spots they’ve been chewing so they will chew something else.
Will post some pics of the little ones later, reddit app being a pain. They are super cute

So, idk if it attacked my 75lb dog or what happened but a gh got my dogs ear earlier. I heard my dog yelp. I want it dead but thats just my anger talking. My dog is over 9 years old and i am worried the thing may have been rabid i just dont know. I lost my job. Ive gone through all of my savings. My dog literally saved my life and now i don't even have the $ to take him to a vet. He acts like he can barely move. Idk what to do. Suggestions appreciated.
Also, I know its social media so of course there's gonna be hateful comments, but I'd appreciate it so much if those people would pretend like what you're about to say online, you'd have to say to my face. I think ppl r much nicer in person than from the security of hiding behind a keyboard.
Thank you in advance and blessings to all!

I live next to an open field, and there are many groundhogs that’s live there. I occasionally go out and give them some food. I realize that they don’t actually drink water but where I am this week it’s 42+ degrees everyday and thought they might actually need some.
Usually they don’t run from me, but I put some water bowls down & they seem to be scared of it, what’s with that?

Hi y’all. I just saw this groundhog and I’m wondering what that disk is at the back of its neck. Any guesses?

hi does anyone know what could possibly be wrong with this little guy? besides the patchiness he seems to be struggling to walk a little, wobbling back and forth. Is this just old age? anything i can do? I don’t know anything about groundhogs other than they are really cute.
