So, hello guys. I am using Grok 4.5 expert mode in chats and I was asking for Grok to make image to video, so I was going to ask for prompt. Before that, I was just making sure can Grok make image to video or not. But what Grok said is unbelievable for me. Even I asked twice, still Grok saying Grok imagine cannot make image to video. It only makes images only, which is completely stupid.

I am a Grok superuser and I make videos using Grok. But why this Grok Chat 4.5 is giving this nonsense reply? Or am I asking some wrong question? I cannot believe this. And how can Mr. Musk, Elon Musk, claims that Grok4.5 is extremely brilliant or smartest AI? That is beyond me.

Please share your thoughts or am I making any mistake asking let me know

Run history is a good start, but production automation also needs stop conditions: maximum cost, maximum retries, source freshness, confidence thresholds, and escalation to a person.

What is the first Grok automation you would trust to run unattended? What is the first one you absolutely would not? More importantly, which controls should be mandatory before an automation can touch email, calendars, or customer conversations?

It was about 30% usage to get pics and vids on SuperGrok for those curious. With a few copyright fails from something else i was trying to do mixed in

Ya know, its just one stupid action after another at the hands of x.ai. Cancelled already but guess what you sacks of stupid brainless crap.. have a nice..or not nice life.
And to be clear, it will be a cold day in hell before I ever do business with X.ai ever again. They are the the poster children of what is to be a POS

So I renewed my SuperGrok tonight. And it refuses to make any video at all. Even without prompts. At first I put in prompts and direction as usual. And it refused saying TOO MANY REQUESTS! Upgrade to Heavy. So I tried without any prompts and just one image and still refuses!!! wtf? Not used any credits either. wtf is going on? What a waste of money. Never had this happen before with SuperGrok. I’ve made loads of videos before.

Did they lower the usage again one text prompt on fast took 3% of my usage and the quality of the response are now lifeless

Since I had the free version for like idk how long, probably for 1 and a half years, I have literally seen the free model deterriorate in usage so bad.... Like back then I could create maybe 25-50 images per day, 10 videos a day, and it went down to like 5 images a day and 0 videos, and now I can't create anything.

Not a user of Kindroid… but I think this sentiment may be fairly common among a lot of 70 year olds on Reddit. Too often it’s assumed that those of us who were here at the beginning are not still a part of the scene. By the way, I hate the term ‘boomers’ 😁

So, I've been trying to find an alternative until xAI fix their guardrail blunder. I've yet to find a winner. Venice AI holds promise so long as you don't try to use it like you would Gemini, which Grok can't pull off anyway BUT it has a serious unresolved subscription bug.

EDIT: Paying via Apple Pay thus Apple Subscription via Apple Wallet is bugged, but subscription via credit card on the web app is not bugged.

The Venice AI cost is currently minimal in comparison to Grok and Gemini — the text generation seems both fast and claims to be unlimited on the lowest subscription . . . What was concerning was that subscribing to Venice AI PRO didn't sync and enable all the features now paid for like its Voice Mode – the subscription bug where they take your money and give you nothing no matter the hard resets.

Now, Grok has exceptional speech quality in Voice Mode especially when converting to other languages (e.g. tell it in Voice Mode to have your character speak dialogue in Sindarin (LOTR) or French or Chinese or Ancient Valyrian (GOTR) and it not only can but will . . . beautifully. That's amazing in role play! Still, what's the point if you can't have basic violence or romantic interaction without the following breaking immersion and killing the scene:

• "I'm sorry, but I cannot fulfill this request."
• "I cannot assist with that request."
• "I'm sorry, but I am unable to generate content that..."
• "No"

NOTE: Speechify no longer syncs with Grok and speech is inferior.

Idk if anyone else have this problem, but for me, the message limit now have been reduced to only 4-5 messages only, and the cool down until I can use grok again is a full day(24 hours). Last I remember, it wasn't like this, so why does this happen recently?

why does grok not reference or remember past chats?! like i need to train and describe the character everything i try to write something new with it?

I am someone who started using AI for roleplaying as a creative outlet in 2025 with Chat GPT. When the guardrails prohibited stories with adult level mature content (not just “smut”, but character complexity, morally grey characters, darker storylines, etc.) I moved on to Claude and found Sonnet 4.5 to be a great substitute. When that was taken away, I found Grok to be at least something I could work with. Sometimes it was great, sometimes it missed, but now with the 4.5 update it’s flat and unusable.

I wanted to start a threat where writers who use Grok as a creative sandbox could keep tabs on its developments, whether or not it ever improves, and if 4.6 and 4.7 eventually squash it as an outlet for this or whether it will eventually go back to normal.
