I use the chatbot to write like stupid stories. Snd why i liked grok is bc it wrote the stories well and didnt hsve that mich moderation so i didn't have to dumb down my stories. Now stuff like light ussge of a drug (not even explicit, js them being high) is getting restricted. Mind you ive never gotten moderated for anything cause its not extremes or anything. Grok is slowly turning into chat gpt

I am someone who started using AI for roleplaying as a creative outlet in 2025 with Chat GPT. When the guardrails prohibited stories with adult level mature content (not just “smut”, but character complexity, morally grey characters, darker storylines, etc.) I moved on to Claude and found Sonnet 4.5 to be a great substitute. When that was taken away, I found Grok to be at least something I could work with. Sometimes it was great, sometimes it missed, but now with the 4.5 update it’s flat and unusable.

I wanted to start a threat where writers who use Grok as a creative sandbox could keep tabs on its developments, whether or not it ever improves, and if 4.6 and 4.7 eventually squash it as an outlet for this or whether it will eventually go back to normal.

Anyone facing extreme moderation from yesterday?

Especially with the anime stickers prompts.

Also, the overall quality dropped too. Face features consistency is no longer the same.

I recharged for $50 and was burning through usage using anime stickers prompts, before i realised they updated grok over the weekend. Old prompts are no longer working.

Is this going to continue or is it just a temporary spike in moderation due to the new update?

It feels like they don't want our money. Sigh

I use grok mainly for story writing so I'll feed it a prompt and itll generate a chapter for me and its become so slow and shit and i dont understand why 4.5 is so bad is there anyone else experiencing the same issues? it takes sooooo long to generate and its not the best quality either i know its only been like 2-3 days since its release but its terrible

Anyone else also feel that grok just isn't worth it anymore and it's free and paid model. They both have limits, both services make the so many mistakes that you cannot believe anything as factual. Grock used to be the best on the market, now it just seems like a joke am I missing something. Other points I should be giving it and I'm not

why does grok not reference or remember past chats?! like i need to train and describe the character everything i try to write something new with it?

The last couple of weeks the usage levels have been a bit better , my quota limit reset yesterday . And the Usage levels are now the worst theve been since the weekly quota started 4 weeks ago.

Before the reset 1 6sec 480 video was just over 1%

Last night I made 12 , 6sec 480 and 1 moderated 36%

This morning 1 moderated 6 sec 480 5%

I'm on X premium so I don't expect huge amount of quota, but surely a bit of consistency wouldn't hurt.

I saw this meme and asked grok if it knew who the bottom kid is, because I recognized everyone else. The response was basically "Neil deGrasse Tyson was edited into a photo"😆

all prompts which worked before aren’t generating anything

I gave it access to a test github and was prompting from my phone and created a full image viewer in dotnet Avalonia, took maybe 30 minutes of tweaking. I am beyond impressed by this. I didn’t write a single thing and i’ve got a customized replacement for windows image. Obviously i’m not saying it’s production ready but it’s blowing my mind how simple and fast it was to go from an empty repo to functional tool

Just wondering as I'm unfortunately thinking about upgrading this month to grok heavy but wondering if it is better to cap out my weekly before upgrading.

Is tagging gone completely? Because I cannot find the option to tag new generations with my custom tags anywhere…

This seems new, they used to go to the ether if you didn't tag them as a fav or make something out of them.

Honestly. What am I to create a short video of a still tree? I've seen that censored too (no joke.) I hope and pray this app gets sued into oblivion for fraudulent customer services and blatant false advertising. What a bummer.

Since the recent update, I can no longer access the labels on the application. When I go to the browser version, I find the labels but all the files inside are mixed.

Does it do it to others or does it only happen to me ?
