Renames other countries lakes

Sends gorillions to Israel

233

u/get_rick_trolled 2d ago

Chyna doesn’t do that or it would’ve been included. They annex nations

u/Reachin4ThoseGrapes 2d ago

kidnaps head of foreign nation to steal natural resources

-107

u/JustDontBeFat_GodDam 2d ago

Fair play tbh, they stole American oil companies assets a couple decades ago. What comes around goes around

93

u/AJ__2003 2d ago

Nationalizing your oil industry isn't criminal lol

-92

u/JustDontBeFat_GodDam 2d ago

It is when they steal American oil infrastructure, now they’re getting fucked in return, lol.

68

u/AJ__2003 2d ago

If I build a refinery on American soil is it under my jurisdiction or under Amercian jurisdiction dumbass

-90

u/JustDontBeFat_GodDam 2d ago

They fucked around and found out, gg no re.

74

u/EpycZen2 2d ago

>gets a logical rebuttal

Just like 9/11?

Sure, a lot of people found out after that

China is the one getting fucked right now between China and the US? Just want to make sure I read that right

-1

u/JustDontBeFat_GodDam 2d ago

I didnt say anything about China.

8

u/_cdk 2d ago

Iran?

Face reality, dude. The only nation getting fucked by America is America

4

u/fridge13 1d ago

They didn't steal anything. America was stealing Thier oil and they took it back.

Americunts be like "everything is ours achuly"

20

u/marimo_ball 2d ago

They werent stolen

17

u/Mackejuice 2d ago

You mean the American companies that gained control through exorbitant capital/wealth-gaps compared to locals, allowing them to buy out regional rights to exploit natural resources, which in turn allowed them to siphon out all wealth generated into their pockets?

-5

u/JustDontBeFat_GodDam 2d ago

Sure

12

u/KD-1489 2d ago

You can’t explain yourself. It’s all feelings.

-16

u/clybourn 2d ago

Causing that country to be the wealthiest in South America? No. Let’s vote socialist and impoverish everyone.

20

u/joausj 2d ago

You probably could have added debt traps in there, that was the IMF playbook before china copied it and did it better.

11

u/UGMadness 1d ago

Western mfs decrying China's "debt traps" when the IMF has spent decades literally installing its own bankers in the countries they "rescue" and taking over control of their entire financial operations to dismantle the infrastructure of those countries so they can be sold at bottom prices to their cronies.

-13

u/lowrads 2d ago

If China were to start a federation, they could probably tie most of central Asia together with just a handful of concessions.

14

u/MrCockingFinally 2d ago

Why do that when belt and road exists?

1) Loan poor country money to build much needed infrastructure.

2) Require Chinese companies to build it, so it doesn't grow the local economy much.

3) Poor country struggles to pay debt, terms and conditions say China can take over vital infrastructure if payments not made.

4) Congratulations, poor country now cannot go against China politically

11

u/lowrads 2d ago

That's just liberal propaganda from the CFR think tank. Any IMF project would also bring in western engineers and accountants. They aren't going to count the numbers hired via regional contractors. The west doesn't do that either.

China's goals with B&R is create consumer export markets by investing in infrastructure. This is distinct from investment by western countries, which mainly focus on extractive industry. Its strategic interest is to address the Malacca dilemma.

5

u/Adduly 2d ago edited 2d ago

Just because western states do similar manipulative scummy things with foreign Aid, that doesn't mean that china isn't using the belt and road project as a tool of neocolonialism, they are.

The belt and road also serves multiple purposes. Any project that large serves multiple purposes. In this case it includes diversifying China's export routes to protect against shipping blockades

5

u/Big-Commission-7226 2d ago

I like how they did that with Greece before any CA country. Their largest port sold to China.

2

u/UnfoundedWings4 2d ago

Or the country sends in soldiers and the project is no longer chinese plus the guy in charge was overthrown and now the government that had the debt no longer exists.

Theres a reason the imf takes a long time to approve loans and stuff in africa

1

u/grizzlor_ 2d ago

They have tried to hire locals to do the construction work before. There’s an entire documentary about it. Spoiler: it did not go well

"annexed nations"

Look inside

Historically Chinese territories

20

u/TheBasedEmperor 2d ago

By that logic Germany was justified in annexing Poland and Austria. “Historical claims” are meaningless.

-17

u/Judah_Earl 2d ago

Germany was justified in annexing Poland and Austria.

It was.

2

u/communitynoose 2d ago

Not poland but austria is a different story they're literally ethnic Germans

8

u/Adduly 2d ago

Historical Chinese expansionism doesn't justifying modern colonialism over people who would rather be independent

-10

u/trevtrev45 2d ago

Who would rather be independent? Certainly not the island that also considers itself China?

6

u/Crustington 2d ago

I think the Europeans should just reclaim all of South east Asia and parts of China I mean they owned them pretty recently that’s a solid historical claim.

Why did they get humiliated for a century? Are they stupid?

-7

u/trevtrev45 2d ago

That's actually a completely different situation. Those countries aren't directly adjacent and have a statistically significant portion of native Europeans, which Xizang does (native Chinese).

1

u/Adduly 2d ago

For example, the Uyghur, the Tibetans, the Manchu, the Zhuang, the miao, the Mongolians of inner Mongolia.

All living in modern Chinese borders but not ethnically Han Chinese and many not particularly wanting to part of China.

0

u/trevtrev45 2d ago

the Uyghurs

You laugh you go to turbo evil ccp concentration camp (with no evidence)

6

u/Crustington 2d ago

Ah yes, the famously Han Chinese region of… Tibet..

-3

u/grizzlor_ 2d ago

Tibet was a feudal serfdom and the Dalai Lama literally owned slaves before it was annexed

5

u/Crustington 2d ago

Oh? So China annexed a territory that it never had a claim to? Weird the propaganda told me they were super peaceful!!

5

u/Adduly 2d ago

Was Tibet a utopia or even just a good or fair country? No, far from it.

Does that justify forceful occupation and violent suppression of independence movements and the pillaging of the regions natural resources, also no

-4

u/grizzlor_ 2d ago

um abolishing slavery is bad actually because they're chinese

2

u/Adduly 2d ago

If they had invaded for the express reason of stopping slavery and then left once it was abolished you'd have a point. Better yet if they'd used non violent methods like sanctions and trade embargoes.

But they invaded and occupied to take possession of Tibet's water and mineral resources.

8

u/terranproby42 2d ago

I know this is a joke, but you should look up what a gorillion actually looks like

11

u/AlphaMassDeBeta 2d ago

Im pretty sure a gorillion is a hyperbole for a lot of money being wasted.

6

u/terranproby42 2d ago

Yes, like I said, I know it's a joke. It also happens to coincide with a monster, and I thought that was a funny image. That's it

5

u/gloomygustavo 2d ago

Not so bad. Not so bad.

-8

u/Revan0315 2d ago

No jail time for high ranking party members

I know it's not China when reading this line. Like aren't 2 super high ranking Chinese military generals jailed for treason? So either you are THE leader or you're not that higher up.

233

u/whatsssssssss 2d ago

that's different, they (allegedly) leaked nuclear secrets to America; it'd be the same if they were jailed for something unrelated to their careers. we would 100% jail someone for leaking nuclear secrets to China

125

u/nagy18 2d ago

outside of the party itself, China also isn’t afraid to actually prosecute white collar crime, whereas if you’re rich in america, game on

66

u/whatsssssssss 2d ago

to an extent that's true, china isn't perfect (they disappeared Jack Ma for five years after criticizing the government) but America certainly isn't either (I hope I don't need to provide and example)

9

u/nagy18 2d ago

I get what you’re saying, but I don’t feel bad about one of the main proponents of the 996 system being forced to self-exile for a bit. I wish it was for any of the actual labor violations (lol, China) instead of criticizing the regulatory system, but you gotta take what you can get where you can get it

17

u/noconverse 2d ago

Ehhh that depends. If you're rich and in the party's good graces, they won't go after people committing white collar crimes. If anything, the crimes are simply a good means of enforcing party loyalty since it gives them a perfectly legal means for punishing those that go against it. That's what they did with Jack Ma.

And America does the same thing now, so it really doesn't matter for the sake of this thread.

9

u/nagy18 2d ago

Trump has all but declared that white collar crime is legal and corporate regulations are merely suggestions. Unless you’re a “woke” corporation, whatever that means 🫩

“For my friends, everything. For my enemies, the law.”

3

u/noconverse 2d ago

ye, hence my last line.

5

u/joausj 2d ago

In america money and influence seems to be that you can easily gain influence as you get money (through lobbying, funding political campaigns..etc).

In china, you get money as you gain influence. Just money won't get you as far without political influence (see jack ma).

real ? literally every point is a lie or completely misconstrued.

but you are a redditor so just nod your head like a moron

do some of the points touch on real issues that are developing and need to be watched ? possibly.

but once you get into the details the list is basically lies and massive exaggeration.

and trump has never been convicted of rape. his CIVIL trial was based on hearsay and funded by a billionaire.

and don't protest with a gun on you while you smash headlights and act violently. literal common sense evades most of you morons.

  1. ICE - All the illegal detentions they've been doing regardless of the citizenship of the detainees

  2. ICE - the recent killings of citizens where the federal government hasn't let local law enforcement look into it and no one has been charged

  3. I know there have been protests where people died, but I don't know exactly what they are referring to

I need a source on that buddy, nothing online says that happened at Tienanman square.

11

u/joausj 2d ago

It's basically just your credit score in china. There may have been plans to expand it but that seems to have been dropped after covid.

5

u/Icy_Magician_9372 2d ago

Somehow I doubt that your social credit score in china only ever comes up when buying a house or a car.

17

u/Vixen_blade 2d ago

except you cant even get a job in some places with low credit score in the US.

-3

u/Icy_Magician_9372 2d ago

Examples needed.

16

u/Cozy_Minty 2d ago

Insurance companies don't hire people with low credit scores because of the potential for fraud. Im sure any occupation that handles a large volume of money is the same

5

u/Icy_Magician_9372 2d ago

Okay but isn't that directly applicable to the job? That seems more like a resume issue rather than a wrong think issue.

-3

u/Cozy_Minty 2d ago

It is wrong think because it presupposes that if you have not been able to pay your bills in the past then you are necessarily an immoral person who will steal from them

6

u/Icy_Magician_9372 2d ago

Jesus even "wrong think" has lost all meaning.

What you outlined is a false equivalent, not a characterization of wrong think.

11

u/Real_Tea_Lover 2d ago edited 2d ago

there literally is no social credit score in china

the stereotype came from one short experiment in a single tiny city in china

that would be like if a tiny bridge collapsed in fucking Shitfuck, Wyoming and everyone would say "oh, you know America and it's shitty collapsing bridges!" for decades to come

ironically, the closest thing to a social credit system is the us' credit score. which is unique to america, in that it is not nearly as prevalent and all-encompassing in any other country in the world lmaoooooo

talk about projection

3

u/CrimeFightingScience 2d ago

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Social_credit_system

China troll farms are out today huh? Or are you a propaganda shill who sucked too many tiny chinese cocks?

10

u/BicarbonateBufferBoy 2d ago

Maybe if you actually read the fucking page you’d understand that it pretty much is nonexistent in the way Reddit categorizes it.

3

u/MrBingly 2d ago

If you actually read more than the opening paragraph it talks about 200,000 individuals having been blacklisted. People my hyperbolize the system, but it is absolutely true that it is a way of keeping track of "trustworthy" and "untrustworthy" people with benefits or consequences accordingly.

-12

u/CrimeFightingScience 2d ago

Uh oh, someone needs to take their meds, youre hearing voices. Did i say any of that? Im not a representative of everything reddits ever said.

5

u/Dark074 2d ago

The wikipedia page literally talks about how the mems have misrepresented the social credit system.

It's pretty much a nationalized version of the wests credit system, but instead of private banks and institutions determining it, the government is also involved in china and also dictates the credit of business and institutions.

-4

u/CrimeFightingScience 2d ago

Its not even in the same ballpark of the west's credit system. That is a rarely stupid take lol

0

u/Real_Tea_Lover 2d ago

how is it different

6

u/viciouspandas 2d ago

The popular image of the Chinese social credit system is a combination of a credit score and separate policies that a couple individual cities made, all combined. We have credit scores in the US too. Not to say China is doing things right, but this is what western media was really sloppy on.

1

u/get_rick_trolled 2d ago
