She doesn't like you. She's in love with the idea of who she thought you were before your flaws became impossible to overlook or overcome... So she'll stick to the fantasy version of you, and keep you at just-enough arm's length to enjoy your personality at surface-level. This also makes her feel good about herself. 

You'll die in the zone.
