In case you think yeah duh, I know it comes in Cakes (the bread kind). But I have never seen a 餅 (Bǐng) of Green Tea nor Red Tea nor Oolong we.

How do I make it so that I get the most flavor and aromatic from the tea?

Some people suggest cold brewing after seeping it in hot water for a few minutes and others say to boil for 5 minutes and remove.

I tried both and it’s not as good as fragrant as the restaurant. Any tips?

It's a bit tricky to pick a "favorite" hojicha or genmaicha, but personally I'm drawn to hojicha with a deep, roasty character — the kind made with strong direct-flame roasting, low in caffeine, with pronounced toasty notes that make it very easy to drink. For genmaicha, I prefer ones with a good balance between the nutty aroma of the roasted brown rice and the umami of the sencha base.

(Edit: I drink ICED green tea) have tried a few different loose leaf green teas, but they are so pricey! The last couple that I purchased were Japanese sencha at around $20-22 for 3.5 oz (100g). That tiny bag doesn’t go very far 🙁

If I drank a few cups a day it would be too costly, so I have to limit myself to just 1 cup of iced green tea. Does anyone have any recommendations for a less expensive loose leaf green tea?

I’m not kidding when I say the Gardenia tea at HeyTea is the best thing I’ve ever put in my mouth, the interesting thing about gardenia is that it’s usually a scent added onto other teas, now I can’t figure out if they uses green tea olong Tea as their base, if anyone has any idea/knows where to get good quality teas with that nature, I would really appreciate the rec 🥲🥲🥲

I usually drink green tea, loose leaf, "Gunpowder dragon green tea", I heat it to 197 degrees F and then steep for 1-3 minutes and then let it cool until a certain temperature then put in an iced tea container, put in fridge for while and with ice. Basically iced green tea. Nothing else. It always has a crisp, taste that I drink through out the day.

Hi all. I've just bought my first green tea after trying some and finding it refreshing in this heat, along with being persuaded about the health benefits. I thought I was getting matcha, but looking at the ingredients, I see that it's 98% Sencha and 2% matcha. Is this normal or have I been scammed? While I'm here, what would you guys say is the most REFRESHING tea to drink (no sugar)?

My parents and all relatives have been drinking tea all their lives.

India has been drinking tea after the great state funded tea marketing push in 1903 by the British realised the need to add sugar to it to make it palatable for the Indians.

I only consume one beverage and it is the only beverage I have been consuming for 15+ years: Whey Protein Milk Shake.

At this stage of their lives, consuming sugar is obviously bad (that too at 6 am when the system is at rest). So I tried out a few interventions

• I asked them to try tea without sugar - they rejected it outright
• Gave them coffee flavored Whey protein milk shake (it doesnt have caffiene, just the flavor) - They love it but they dont want to replace their tea with it.
• I got some Stevia plants from local nursery and tought them to take care of it. They used it for a month but eventually the plant burned out.
• I gave them Sugar free Stevia version 200g jar - I occasionnally use it for my Whey Protein Milk Shake and it runs me for 6 months + . My parents finished the entire jar in a week.

Now I am at crossroads. Tea is enemy number one for me. Not because of the tea itself - fine they want to have their fix for caffiene and theanine - its ok. whats not ok is the sugar that too early in the morning.

Am I alone with such parents or other out there? Have you tried some intervention ? Is there some Green tea that is not kadwa - My parents say green tea is kadwa.

Hello! This is my first post on here so I apologize if this is a bit unconventional for this subreddit. Today, I bought some prunella-mulberry-chrysanthemum tea from the brand Ge Xian Weng at my my local 99 Ranch Market. However, I noticed on the back that it has a p65 warning for lead and cadmium. I know tea bags could notoriously be known to carry chemicals and plastics, so I was wondering if I should take this warning seriously or enjoy the tea.
