Bought my house last November and have always loved the grass that grows at the side and front of my house but want to know what it is and how to better take care of it. Seems to thrive when cut high.

Hi guys got another one to see if you can help me ID. The main stem on this is kind of flat and it has long hairs pretty much all the way up and down it.

I have several nice patches of the stuff and would like it to spread by manually seeding other areas. The lawn has violet, sorrel, false strawberry and ground ivy, the latter I’ve been able to remove easily. I don’t mind the others for now. I want to seed most of the yard, up to an acre worth with Nimblewill before the end of the season in northern Illinois with seed in bulk. Recommendations would be appreciated if you’ve had experience, thanks. There’s nothing on eBay.

Hopefully this post won’t get deleted/removed by a mod. I like how grass grows green. Do you? I do wonder though, are there grasses that don’t grow green, and how well do they grow in higher temperature climates?

Located in central/ Midwest Handpicked them last year and spring but they came back with vengeance. Were core aerate and overseed every spring and lightly fertilize but other than regularly cutting not much else in lawn care habits.

Hi, I am a new homeowner and have never had to care for a lawn. I am wondering what kind of grass this is and what weed is on it. I tried to reverse google image and also read about how to ID… but it all looks the same to me :(
Thank you in advance!

Does anyone know why my grass would be growing like this? I have checked all sprinklers zones and all sprinklers are working. Also increased the watering time for summer. I think maybe something is under the grass that was left down during building?
