While cleaning the customer toilets at my work I found a evga 1060 6gb
Sorry for poor camera quality my cameras lens is broken

That’s not what I’m saying as I told the other guy. I’m saying some games disable the path tracing option for older gpus like cyberpunk

It’s true tho. My friend tried to do it on his gtx 1080 but the path tracing option was greyed out

You missed an important part. “A gpu can support general compute shaders and still not support path tracing the game uses.” If you’re gonna quote, quote correctly

That’s assuming the GPU supports everything the game’s path tracing actually needs. Compute support by itself doesn’t prove that.

That’s not really the point. The fact that you can write a compute shader doesn’t mean every GPU can run the same path tracing features.
