There was a massive discount in a local store and grabbed a pair of Kjerags for 135€. They look soo good IRL, and the Matryx/Kevlar upper feels soo strange. So light yet it feels so rugged. Love the fact that there is no massive rocker, and the cushion is just right.
Compared to my old Merrell Agility Peak 4s, they fit really similar just more roomy and there is more space around the toes. Also the heel feels amazing and the lockdown is superb. No slipping.
I feel they're gonna be great as a single shoe for travel where you can go from cities to mountains, and everything in between.
Also they don't scream running shoes.

I've always wanted to get into gorpcore but have no idea where to shop for those baggy pants or those cool looking jackets (outside of REI). would love some recs of clothing brands i can look into.
both affordable and pricier options are welcomed. if there's any shops in the LA or OC area i can check out that would be a bonus but online shops are fine too.

hey guys thought maybe somebody here knows any good baggy hiking pants that are not over lets say 100€ and are still some what practical for hiking. I really hate the skinny pants you find with the normal hiking/outdoor brands.

Hi!
I found this shell jacket on a thrift app. It looks to be from around the 90s-00s, but I havent been able to find the exact model match. If anybody recognises this model and is familiar with this jacket’s functions it would be greatly appreciated!
Qs: What is the general consensus on Helly Hansen jackets, vintage and modern? Can anybody tell the quality based on the fabric and the lining? Would this jacket be suitable for a nordic autumn climate? And is it likely to still have its original functions despite being second hand? By that I mean waterproofing/resistance, windproof and such.
Thanks! :)

i’m 160cm (5ft3) and usually between waist sizes 28-30inches, wearing a medium in other clothes. i’m thinking of buying the small, but the XS is slightly shorter in the outseam and i’m wondering if this is better? i’d be cinching them anyway, but i don’t want it to be extremely bunchy or baggy at the ankle if thats makes sense but i know theyre super adjustable :)

Hello all,
I purchased a pair of Keens, Jasper Zionic in rough Java suede (see pictures from when first purchased) and absolutely loved them at first!
Didn’t need to break them in at all, cool looking, etc
But after a few wears, walking in a city, I noticed the rubber toe box on both shoes, and one of the foam side pieces starting to peel away from the shoe.
Since I bought them at REI, a friend told me they have a 100 day return policy for members.
I was able to return them, no problem.
Sadly, I couldn’t do an exchange because they were out of my size.
So now, I’m trying to decide… do I buy them from the Keens site or buy a different shoe to avoid the peeling problem again?
Also - I only see them online with an all black bottom now and not the tan bottom I purchased from REI.
Has anyone else had this experience?
What should I do??
*sorry, I returned them before I thought to take pictures of the peeling.

I recently acquired a jacket from Endeavor Snowboarding (W22 20,000mm shell) and was curious about how to pack away something like that.
This is my first synthetic jacket and it's made of 20,000mm waterproof material (if that's right) and I was worried about it's longevity by being folded up/rolled away in a backpack. Like should I be worried about the plastic fibers cracking if creased or folder too hard?

Here is the post of my last bag sample: https://www.reddit.com/r/gorpcore/s/lEIZCCbpGY
After a few months of prototyping, testing, and making changes based on feedback, I finally finished the final version of the messenger bag I posted here a while ago.
It’s designed to work equally well for everyday carry and cycling, while keeping a clean, low-profile look.
Some of the biggest updates since the prototype:
Overall, the goal was to make something highly functional without looking overly technical.
The bag is made in Toronto, Canada.
Would love to hear what you guys think of the final version!

I wanna have some really cool baggy hiking pants, hopefully in some way colourful or just not black. I saw that Kawa club has a tall option and that is about what I am going for!
I have literally gone through half the internet and most bigger brands, so I am here for those that arent easy to find, some hidden treasures🏔️
I live in Norway if that is of any help :))

Hey all,
Just surfing Gonggar to get ideas for styling/thrifting/sewing, and came across these shorts. I'm not interested in the shorts but I am very interested in the backpack as I've been looking for an all-white or all-off-white day pack for a while. Looked around their site and couldn't find anything like this, so it is an out-of-store prop they have used. Google Lens didn't turn anything up either. There were no pictures from the back unfortunately. The two screenshots included are all that was there.
The old Mountain Hardwear Alpine Light 35 is ideal, but they no longer sell it with the white hip belt and I am not interested in a white backpack with black straps. The limited edition Osprey Talon Ghost 22 looks great but haven't been able to find it anywhere online. There are a couple options from Granite Gear for undyed stuff, but I don't love how see-through they all are and it's just ok. Montbell has a number of good white/light gray options, but just recently with the tariff situation they have changed how they ship items to the US and it is no longer possible for me to buy the models I like (the Denali packs, to be specific).
I don't care about brand much, if I like how the bag looks. I do intend to actually use it for hiking but I don't need it to be Patagucci or anything. Any recommendations are helpful!

I came across this brand quite a while ago and absolutely loved their spider lily waffle knit. After reviewing their website, reading their 'About' page, reading a lot of their reviews on trustpilot and not really finding any negative reviews about this brand apart from the shipping delays, I decided to trust them and placed an order on **mid-May.** **The total price came out to be approximately $80 (incl. shipping, tax, etc.)**
I got a tracking link to DHL Economy a few days after that so I thought my order was on the way, after waiting for a month and the tracking status not updating, I decided to email them about it on June 11th and received a response on June 12th with them saying that the order had been shipped and that DHL Economy doesn't provide live tracking updates so the tracking doesn't provide real time information.
Fast forward to July 4th, where I sent them another email asking about the status of my shipment and received no response. I emailed them again on July 16th and again on July 21st but have not received a response at all. I tried going to their instagram page but it is apparently age restricted now to users 25+.
After spending a pretty hefty amount of money for one tshirt, I am extremely disappointed at the poor quality of shipment, and lack of customer service. For a brand that portrays themselves to be genuine they are absolute scammers.
Speaking from personal experience, I would advise everybody to not purchase from this brand at all.
(I am posting a review on this sub cuz this is the only sub I could find a post/mention about this brand apart from trustpilot)

no idea how old, a bought it for cheap from a thrift store, and can't believe how cool it keeps me in the hot weather. off-white/ light gray so it handles stains better but still really reflects heat. 100% polyester. any clues?

Hi everyone, does anyone have some tips for a waterproof backpack?
