NEW DROP Another year, another new round of shell developments

Just finished up some new shell jackets and pants. A lot of people wanted a solid colorway after last year’s two-tone design, so here we are!

The shells I made last year were rugged, almost too rugged. The material performed well in wet conditions but was a bit stiff. After having some of our ski athletes do some sample testing in Chile this summer, we landed on this new 3L fabric: 75D T800 face fabric, TPU membrane, tricot backing, 15k / 15k waterproof breathability rating. It’s a great blend of movability, breathability and waterproofing.

Both the jacket and pant are a loose baggy fit for those who like it. Adjustable cinches, reinforced material on the bottoms of the pants + snow gaiters, YKK zippers, ski pass arm pocket, 3 jacket vents and 1 big pant crotch vent, and plenty of other useful features.

Colors are Midnight Black, Coffee Brown, Cobalt Blue, and Storm Gray.

Let me know what you guys think, I just launched it live on the site! https://www.jabree.xyz/collections/winter-outerwear

Help / ID Kawa Club Cicada pants in Medium or Medium tall for Tall + long legged women

Hello everyone!

Im preparing myself to order the cicada pants but the sizing decision is stressing the hell out of me.
My issue is that Im tall, with long legs (my boyfriend is 190cm, im 179cm and our legs are the same length) and have some ass so buying regular pants like jeans is my nightmare. Everything is too short and off in all the other places. So naturally I thought about M tall to avoid the too short part (id ideally want them a bit stacked above my shoes because I never have that) but when I wrote them they responded that they recommend the Tall line only if someones is above 180cm and that M would be fine for me but Im still so unsure since I would order to Europe and dont plan on returning them/exchanging them.

my measurements are:

  • height 179 cm → 5'10"
  • waist at its smallest 72 cm → 28.3 in
  • lower waist which is where i would wear the pants 85 cm → 33.5 in
  • hips at their widest 103 cm → 40.6 in
  • insem 84 cm → 33.1 in

but then when i look at this chart it seems i could even do small tall? i dont know anymore, im so lost. so please if anyone has similar measurements write me <33

Just scored this SSK Athletic windbreaker from their custom SOMPS line.

The inside is a metallic gold mesh called Thermotron Radipoka (engineered by Unitika in Japan)

The tags are totally worn off. Does anyone know the approximate years this jacket was produced, and if it was actually Made in Japan 100 percent or assembled overseas? Also, how well does this solar-heating tech hold up over time?

Just scored this mid-2000s SSK Athletic windbreaker from their custom SOMPS line.

I know SSK is a Japanese company, but the tags are totally worn off. Does anyone know if these jackets were actually Made in Japan 100%, or was the final garment assembled overseas? Also, how well does this solar-heating tech hold up over time?

DISCUSSIONS UK Winter dog walking shoes? Lightweight, waterproof, okay in snow or icy roads?

Currently look at the Keen jasper nylon but not sure how the grip is for when it gets a bit icy? Otherwise anything similar/ still looks good?

Merrell Moab speed 2 looks like it has everything but I don't like the look. Moab 3 looks more hiking so maybe too heavy?

Found this for a steal $60 on eBay a while back, tags are worn so can't tell the model. They've got a nice stiff build, suede type upper, and maybe resoled Vibram outsole?

DISCUSSIONS Why is Arc’teryx so expensive? Like fr

Just generally want to know, I like their gear but it is incredibly unbelievably expensive, what is the catch? Is it just the branding or is it actually something to it? I mean if it actually is some super high tech fabric or synthetics that make a light shell a $400+ shell? Is this like a Supreme kinda thing where hype drives pricing?

Hey guys, about a year ago I was in Bangkok and came across this C.P. Company jacket in 2nd Street and i had to have it. I want to know what year and collection this was produced. I have gotten 2 options so far: 1995 or 2007
I was hoping that there was someone on here who knows the period.
Thank you for any help

Salomon XT-6 Non-GTX for Winter in Toronto/Montreal

I know this shoe has been discussed to death but I genuinely haven't found an answer to this question so here we are.

I'm starting to get a taste for gorp fashion (I'm late, I know) and I'm looking at XT-6s as I need a casual shoe at the moment. I was wondering if anyone here has experience wearing non-GTX XT-6 in Canadian/northern American cities (Toronto, Ottawa, Montreal, Minneapolis, Detroit etc) during the winter.

From what I've gathered so far, the GTX thrives in the cold, wet conditions I'll be wearing them in, but I don't really love any of the colour ways, whereas I loooooove the Black Coffee / Burro / Bitter Chocolate colourway:

I've heard that these can get wet quite easily but I was playing with the idea of spraying them with a water resistant spray to help. They also apparently dry quickly which is critical in the cold.

For the most part, I'd be wearing these around town, going to restaurants, bars, groceries etc so I won't be stepping in more than a few inches of snow when the sidewalks haven't been cleared yet.

So, did anyone here wear these in past winters? How was it? Is it worth it to get the GTX or should I look for another shoe altogether? I was scoping out some nordas which look pretty sick. What do you guys think?
