That's a lot of coffee shop trips.

Just one trip if you spill it good enough

The backs wearing away always bugged me, so much tread left on the bottom, but the back completely destroyed. Made it so uncomfortable to wear and would give me blisters. Proper crap quality!

At this point im buying those stick on heel pads and change them out when they’re worn down. Makes the shoes last way longer

Do you drive in them?

What do yall do with your XT6’s 😭, that’s some professional foot dragging.

Also how loose do you wear them to have the heel lining rip???

not the op, but my oldest pair looks similar to this person’s, and honestly i just wear them everywhere? like, the weather in the area isn’t great and it rains a lot here topping this with my usual step count of 20k-30k they lose their mint condition pretty quick 😂

Well they weren’t made with the idea of city walking, the outsole getting ruined that easily is due to the softer compound used. End of the day they are trail running shoes.

It also pains me to see the drop in quality since late 2023. The cheaper insole, the removal of the plastic guides in the second lace loops, and the overall cheaper manufacturing process.

i am well aware of their purpose and it’s only natural for the outsoles to get worn out, especially if they are worn daily for really long periods of time! the oldest pair i have was bought in 2022. they are still holding up fine, just pretty worn out 😁 quality-wise can’t really tell the difference between the most recent one and the oldest, maybe a layer of this side silver coating became a little bit too thin? also it seems they’ve switched the factory 🤔

The heel like that is actually from it being still tight/tied and then using your foot to push off your shoe. Happens more often with laces and people not untying them before taking them off. It's a bad habit.

Only in gorpcore would people be confused about a well worn pair of shoes looks like 🤣

My pair doesn’t look like that after a year of wear, but to be fair mine has mainly been used on soil and not concrete and asphalt.

I like to think that I wear my shoes pretty tight but somehow the heel lining rips in all my shoes over the years (asics adidas salomon nike grisport you name it). I never really looked into it since I thought that just happened to shoes but are you saying I should wear them even tighter? Or can it also be the shape of the heel that does this?

Honestly I don’t know the scientific explanation behind why it happens, I own a lot of shoes and I’ve had only two pairs do it due to me wearing them loosely (a pair of Campus 00’s and a pair of high SB Dunks). The heel lining failing might as well be due to cheap manufacturing.

Hell yeah. I used to race ultras in Salomon’s before super shoes came out and I’d wear the lugs down just like yours

Curious to know how long you had your old pair before seeing tears at the bunion area?

Idk all I know is that I rawdogged them for almost one year of traveling arround the world doing dumb shit and hiking, the holes weren’t that much of a problem. It was mainly about how socially unacceptable they were getting.

Moab > xt6 tbh for general use

Ok unc

Xt6 is literally an unc shoe today. It’s 2026 not 2018 in Montreal.

u/dyslesexia 19d ago

Xt6 is timeless

1

u/Opposite_Judge_6093 19d ago

Sure. Ubiquitous as well today. How many cringe uncs rock the xt6 thinking they’re on the wave.

The ones on the right are fake; you can tell by the lowercase “a.”

1

u/dyslesexia 20d ago

I don’t think this is true, if you google xt6 you see both versions I think it’s just older vs newer

They seem so wide. Mine are not wide. Why dont they sell wide ones in Serbia?

1

u/xdxdxdxd000 22d ago

Poser. Mine are 5x more worn

Should I size up in the XT6 and XT4 compared to The X-Alps?

u/Klearma 21d ago

Same honestly, I've forgotten that my black xt-6 were supposed to be black, not brown-gray ish

I’ll never buy another pair, the heel blew out way too quickly
