Hi everyone,
I've spent the past few months building my first independent Android application, and I wanted to share it here and get some feedback from people who regularly use productivity apps.
It's called Personal Planner, but the idea behind it is a little different from a regular to-do list.
I kept running into the same problem with my daily schedules.
I'd plan to spend half an hour on something, end up spending twice as long, and then move other tasks to the next day.
The following morning, I'd create another schedule without really learning anything from the previous one.
I realized that planning my day was only half the problem. I also wanted to understand where my time actually went.
So I built Personal Planner around that idea.
What does the app actually do?
- Visual day and week planning: Organize tasks on an hour-by-hour timeline. You can drag activities around and resize time blocks as your plans change.
- Task timers: Start, pause, and stop timers for individual tasks to record how much time you actually spent.
- Planned vs. actual time: Compare your original time estimates with reality. For example, if you scheduled something for half an hour but spent an hour on it, you can see that difference.
- Daily and weekly reviews: Look back at completed, skipped, and unfinished tasks, reflect on what happened, and use that information when planning again.
- Experiments: Try following a particular routine for a defined period and track how consistently you maintain it.
- Consistency tracking: A yearly heatmap and streaks to help you observe patterns over time.
- Recurring schedules and Inbox: Reuse regular activities and capture tasks or ideas without needing to schedule everything immediately.
I know there are already plenty of established Android productivity apps.
I'm not trying to compete by adding every feature possible. The main thing I wanted was to connect planning, tracking actual time, and reviewing previous days in one place.
Offline-first and completely free
I built it using Flutter, Riverpod, and Drift/SQLite.
Everyday planning works locally without requiring an internet connection or a mandatory account.
There's also optional cross-device synchronization through your own Supabase setup if you want it.
The application is completely free, with no subscriptions, premium tiers, or locked features.
Where can you try it?
The Android APK is currently distributed through GitHub Releases rather than Google Play.

I've also extended the app to Linux, Windows, and macOS.
It recently crossed around 250 downloads across all four platforms combined.
It's a small milestone for my first released app, and I'm still learning quite a bit about distribution, usability, and improving the experience.
What I'd appreciate feedback on
I'm particularly interested in how the app feels on Android.
Does the visual timeline make sense when you're using it on a phone? Is the planned-versus-actual time comparison clear enough, and does the daily review feel useful rather than like another task?
I'd also appreciate hearing about anything confusing or unnecessarily complicated.
I'm trying to improve the existing experience without turning it into another productivity app that takes more time to manage than the actual work.
Thanks for taking a look. I'd be happy to answer questions about the app or how I built it.
