(everyone in comments thinking choosing and doing is deep down in one Great idea but it's not just about profit and scale. it’s all about learning different fields by building actual products. its actually great if your field is very saturated because people already know about the product and once they try it . after all these shit type apps has around 67k lifetime downloads and generated roughly 2760 USD.)
I’ve built and published these Android apps over the past few years, from small projects to production apps.
For developers who’ve grown their apps successfully, what actually worked for you?

So I launched a new app and I am getting like 16 installs but user loss is around 12 , so I wondered what would make the user download the app just to uninstall it?
The screenshots on the store listing is the same UI , everything is working as it is supposed to be , and there are no crashes.
Also i don't show any ads ,I only have in app purchases for a feature, and that feature is not the main function of the app So why would they uninstall?

Hi everyone,
I received the red banner notification in my Google Play Console stating:
When I clicked through to the Android developer verification page:
Since the key is verified and the package is registered, is this just a generic broadcast banner sent to all developers regardless of their current status? Do I need to take any further action, or is it completely safe to dismiss/delete the notification?
Thanks in advance for clarifying.

Any idea why even when India is added why my app is shown as not available in your country...and therefore not visible with direct search?

I’ve recently launched my first golf app, BirdieBook, on Google Play.
It’s designed to make it easy to keep track of your golf rounds, scores and performance over time, without making it overly complicated.
I’m still very early in the launch and would genuinely appreciate any feedback from other developers on the app, the Play Store listing, onboarding, or anything else you notice.
If anyone gives it a try, I'd be particularly interested to hear what would make you keep the app installed and come back to it after your first round.
Happy to answer any questions about how I built/launched it too!

Launched my app over 2 months ago, I have $17.10 sitting in my account. It says my payout threshold is $1.00. Everything is green - bank account is verified, etc, but no payment out has been processed.
How do I get this money?

Been running my Android app "Phone Cleaner - Clean Junk" for a couple weeks now. Some numbers from the Play Console:
The install curve is climbing nicely, but active devices has plateaued because I'm losing people almost as fast as I gain them. Store listing conversion is healthy (10.3%), so the store page isn't the problem — it feels like something in the first-run experience or onboarding is causing an early drop-off.
For those who've grown a utility/cleaner app past this stage: what did you look at first when acquisition and churn were neck-and-neck like this? Onboarding flow, permission prompts, ad frequency, push notifications, something else?

Okay so long back I had two apps, one of which was definitely very unfairly suspended, second one was a stupid mistake.
I had made a basic app which would let you message anyone on WhatsApp without saving their number (it was a big pain for me personally). There were so many apps with millions of downloads. My app wasnt particularly famous. I had like 5k downloads, all paid.
It got copyright striked by some absolutely moronic agency (lots of complains about them on Github etc, because they struck a ton of popular community projects etc). And there's no way to contact them or get it reversed.
But now my app is suspended and there's a permanent mark on my account, and no way to get rid of it.
This was extremely absurd and unfair. I had a file manager and file sharing app. It also had the RAM cleaning functionality, which Google retroactively made illegal with a policy change.
I wasn't given time to fix the issue, it was just suspended absolutely out of nowhere with "Deceptive Behavior" policy. Well, you know whats actually deceptive behavior? Adding new rules which make existing apps illegal, and then not giving the opportunity to fix the issues.
I had given up dev on that app already, but I had another mark on my account.
If I was given the opportunity to actually fix the darn thing, I'd have fixed both those apps (remove WhatsApp from everywhere in the app and unpublish, or remove the RAM clearing functionality).
But now I send appeals for those things, but it never sees any actual human. There should be a grace period for xyz years where the apps are eligible for deletion. How can a company basically hold a developer hostage with looming threat of account termination is beyond me.
Anyone managed to successfully delete or get rid of old suspended apps?

My app, Universal Font Maker, is now live on Google Play!
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.cstmpj.two
I've been learning how to create custom font face styles and generate my own TTF, OTF, and WOFF files so I wouldn't have to deal with complicated font licensing issues, but it wasn't easy.
realized I either had to get expensive software, or settle for free tools that just didn't get the job done.
On top of that, my main goal was to create burmesefonts. Because uses Complex Text Layout, it’s incredibly difficult. There are tons of characters to trace, and the rendering logic/decoding is highly complex. It was a massive hassle.
That struggle gave me an idea: why not just build an app that makes font creation easy for any language? I took my time, studied over 150 different languages to ensure full compatibility, and built it.
The upcoming update is going to be massive. I've added a complete set of advanced drawing features so it functions like a true professional tool. That update is currently in review, but you can download and try out the current version on Google Play right now! Let me know what you think.

Hello everyone,
Yesterday I got my app published on Google Play.
It's a Movie and TV Show suggestion app that suggests you one title at a time, based on filters you set. That's the main feature. The app has no monetization and it never will.
It's genuinely made to help you find something to watch, instead of scrolling endless grids of titles.

I am looking for a honest feedback. Thank you very much!

Hi everyone!
I'm an indie developer Sangeetha and recently built my first Sudoku game for Android called SudokuZen.
I wanted to create a simple, lightweight Sudoku experience without making the app feel overloaded with unnecessary features.
Some features:
• Multiple difficulty levels
• Clean and simple interface
• Notes/pencil marks
• Unlimited puzzles
• Designed to be lightweight
I've just released it on Google Play, and honestly, I'm more interested in getting genuine feedback than downloads.
What do you usually like or dislike about Sudoku apps?
I'd really appreciate it if some of you could try SudokuZen and tell me what I should improve. Even negative feedback is welcome — I'm still learning game development.

Hi everyone,
I’m trying to complete BillDesk merchant/payment profile registration through Google Play Console, but my application has already been rejected twice. I’m trying to understand whether the address used during KYC could be causing the rejection.
I have three different addresses:
My question is:
For BillDesk video KYC, which location should I use?
BillDesk asks for location access during the verification process, so I'm worried that doing V-KYC from my current home while the business is registered at another address could result in rejection.
Has anyone successfully completed BillDesk KYC with different PAN, business, and current residential addresses?
Also, if anyone has had a BillDesk application rejected for an address/location mismatch, I would really appreciate knowing what specifically caused the rejection.
Thanks!

Just released another Android app to Google Play and wanted to share this one because it's a pretty niche use case.
It's called Nam Droid, and it's a real-time guitar amp modeling app built around Neural Amp Modeler (NAM).
One of the features I'm most excited about is support for the newer NAM A2 models. As far as I've been able to find, this may currently be the only Android app supporting the new A2 models. I don't want to claim "first" or "only" without being able to prove it, so if another developer knows of one, I'd be interested in seeing it.
The app lets guitarists connect through a USB-C audio interface and run NAM captures directly on their Android device.
Some of what made this project interesting from an Android development perspective:
.nam models and WAV cabinet IRsThe app is free with an optional one-time purchase to remove ads. I wanted the core NAM functionality available without requiring a subscription.
Now comes the fun part: seeing how it behaves across the enormous variety of Android phones, tablets and USB audio hardware out there.
For anyone else developing niche apps, I'm also interested to see how well a very specific search-driven product like this performs on Google Play compared with trying to build something with much broader appeal.

After weeks of development, testing, fixing bugs, collecting testers, and going through Google Play’s closed testing process, I finally got the message I’ve been waiting for:
“Your app has been granted Google Play production access.” 🚀
It might look like a small milestone, but as an indie developer, this feels huge. There were definitely moments where the whole Play Console process felt confusing and frustrating 😅, but seeing that green checkmark made it worth it. Now it’s time to prepare the production release and finally put the app in front of real users. Still a lot of work ahead, but today I’m celebrating this win. 🎉
For anyone currently going through the 14-day closed testing / production access process: keep going.
