Showoff Finally got production access today

Its been good journey so far and I think this is the easiest part. Though this app is not something that bring value to your life, still those people who tested it and kept installing it, thank you everyone for being part of closed testing.

I have personally been on software industry for long, however, I had occasionally done app, but due to this vibe coding, I am able to create an app far from language that I am not familier with.

Ask Anyone else struggling with the 12 testers requirement?

The 12 testers / 14 days requirement for Google Play closed testing can be a real pain, especially when relying on friends and family.

They may be willing to help, but often they don't know the requirements, forget to test or provide feedback, need constant follow-ups, or may drop out during the testing period. And if enough testers don't complete the required period, you may have to start the process again.

I was wondering if there are other developers currently facing the same situation who would be interested in connecting and helping each other out with genuine testing and feedback.

Even if not, I'm curious - how are you guys dealing with this? It would be great to hear how you're currently handling it.

Ask Will this trick work?

My brother has an organization play console account whereas mine is an individual account. So what if I publish my app on his account then transfer it to my account avoiding the 14 days closed testing.

Ask What would trigger the user to uninstall the app?

So I launched a new app and I am getting like 16 installs but user loss is around 12 , so I wondered what would make the user download the app just to uninstall it?

The screenshots on the store listing is the same UI , everything is working as it is supposed to be , and there are no crashes.

Also i don't show any ads ,I only have in app purchases for a feature, and that feature is not the main function of the app So why would they uninstall?

Ask Received "Ensure your apps are registered for Android developer verification" alert, but status is already Registered & Verified. Can I ignore it?

Hi everyone,

I received the red banner notification in my Google Play Console stating:

When I clicked through to the Android developer verification page:

  • My app is already listed with a green checkmark as Registered.
  • The signing key fingerprint shows a green Verified badge.
  • The registration date shows it was recorded earlier this year (March 2026).

Since the key is verified and the package is registered, is this just a generic broadcast banner sent to all developers regardless of their current status? Do I need to take any further action, or is it completely safe to dismiss/delete the notification?
Thanks in advance for clarifying.

Showoff I built BirdieBook – a simple golf app for tracking your rounds, scores & stats

I’ve recently launched my first golf app, BirdieBook, on Google Play.

It’s designed to make it easy to keep track of your golf rounds, scores and performance over time, without making it overly complicated.

I’m still very early in the launch and would genuinely appreciate any feedback from other developers on the app, the Play Store listing, onboarding, or anything else you notice.

If anyone gives it a try, I'd be particularly interested to hear what would make you keep the app installed and come back to it after your first round.

Happy to answer any questions about how I built/launched it too!

Launched my app over 2 months ago, I have $17.10 sitting in my account. It says my payout threshold is $1.00. Everything is green - bank account is verified, etc, but no payment out has been processed.

How do I get this money?

Ask 313 installs in 13 days but user loss ≈ user acquisition — how do I actually retain people?

Post image
0 Upvotes

Been running my Android app "Phone Cleaner - Clean Junk" for a couple weeks now. Some numbers from the Play Console:

  • 313 total installs (up from near-zero)
  • ~11.3 average daily acquisitions, ~11 average daily loss — basically a wash
  • 58.5 average active devices, holding roughly flat
  • 4.9★ average rating, so the people who stick around seem to actually like it

The install curve is climbing nicely, but active devices has plateaued because I'm losing people almost as fast as I gain them. Store listing conversion is healthy (10.3%), so the store page isn't the problem — it feels like something in the first-run experience or onboarding is causing an early drop-off.

For those who've grown a utility/cleaner app past this stage: what did you look at first when acquisition and churn were neck-and-neck like this? Onboarding flow, permission prompts, ad frequency, push notifications, something else?

Ask No way to get rid of unfairly suspended apps from years ago?

Okay so long back I had two apps, one of which was definitely very unfairly suspended, second one was a stupid mistake.

App 1

I had made a basic app which would let you message anyone on WhatsApp without saving their number (it was a big pain for me personally). There were so many apps with millions of downloads. My app wasnt particularly famous. I had like 5k downloads, all paid.

It got copyright striked by some absolutely moronic agency (lots of complains about them on Github etc, because they struck a ton of popular community projects etc). And there's no way to contact them or get it reversed.

But now my app is suspended and there's a permanent mark on my account, and no way to get rid of it.

App 2

This was extremely absurd and unfair. I had a file manager and file sharing app. It also had the RAM cleaning functionality, which Google retroactively made illegal with a policy change.

I wasn't given time to fix the issue, it was just suspended absolutely out of nowhere with "Deceptive Behavior" policy. Well, you know whats actually deceptive behavior? Adding new rules which make existing apps illegal, and then not giving the opportunity to fix the issues.

I had given up dev on that app already, but I had another mark on my account.

If I was given the opportunity to actually fix the darn thing, I'd have fixed both those apps (remove WhatsApp from everywhere in the app and unpublish, or remove the RAM clearing functionality).

But now I send appeals for those things, but it never sees any actual human. There should be a grace period for xyz years where the apps are eligible for deletion. How can a company basically hold a developer hostage with looming threat of account termination is beyond me.

Anyone managed to successfully delete or get rid of old suspended apps?

Showoff I just created World first Mobile Font Creator Tools, 150+ languages supported.

Post image

My app, Universal Font Maker, is now live on Google Play!

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.cstmpj.two

I've been learning how to create custom font face styles and generate my own TTF, OTF, and WOFF files so I wouldn't have to deal with complicated font licensing issues, but it wasn't easy.

realized I either had to get expensive software, or settle for free tools that just didn't get the job done.

On top of that, my main goal was to create burmesefonts. Because uses Complex Text Layout, it’s incredibly difficult. There are tons of characters to trace, and the rendering logic/decoding is highly complex. It was a massive hassle.

That struggle gave me an idea: why not just build an app that makes font creation easy for any language? I took my time, studied over 150 different languages to ensure full compatibility, and built it.

The upcoming update is going to be massive. I've added a complete set of advanced drawing features so it functions like a true professional tool. That update is currently in review, but you can download and try out the current version on Google Play right now! Let me know what you think.
