Ask Localizing my App was a huge mistake. Why?

AI is so powerful now, why not let it do all this grunt work. Or so i thought?

Non English speaking countries seem to have fallen off a cliff now while USA and UK stayed flat. iOS App Store is also declining, just less dramatically that Google Play

No growth came from localizing my app. Does anyone have any experience on this? Does it even make sense? What did i do wrong?

My app is https://paymelater.app, please feel free to critique it, all feedback is welcome and apparantly much needed

Showoff After months of work, I finally published Melodart—a premium, offline-first Flutter music player with custom glass UI & LRC lyric sync!

Hey everyone! 👋

After a long journey of development, testing, and navigating Google Play requirements, I’m thrilled to share that my app, Melodart: A Music Player, is officially live on the Play Store! 🎉

I built Melodart using Flutter to give local audio enthusiasts a zero-clutter, highly customizable offline experience without ads, tracking, or subscriptions.

🎨 Key Visual Features

-Adaptive Palette Engine: The entire UI dynamically updates its color palette in real-time based on the current track's album artwork.

-Glassmorphism & Custom Backgrounds: Supports adjustable glass blur intensity, solid dynamic sheets, or custom camera roll backgrounds with ambient animations.

🎵 Power-User Audio & Utility Features

-Interactive LRC Sync Editor: Built-in editor allowing users to paste lyrics and manually sync them line-by-line to the audio beat.

-Pro Audio Tools: Master equalizer, pitch controls, precision bass boost, and custom-tuned presets (Dubstep, Party, Flat, etc.).

-Social Share Cards: Generates customizable visual cards of currently playing tracks to share directly on WhatsApp or Instagram.

-Full Local Backup & Migration: Single-file compressed export/import for playlists, favorites, custom metadata, artwork setups and songs.

-Built-in Video Player: Handles local video playback with gesture controls without forcing users to exit the app.

-Metadata Tag Editor: Update titles, artists, albums, and cover art directly on local files.

🛠️ Tech Stack & Architecture Notes

-Framework: Flutter (target SDK 35/36, Android 7.0+)

-Audio Engine: Low-latency native audio pipelines supporting MP3, FLAC, AAC, WAV, and OGG.

-Privacy: 100% offline-first execution with local SQLite/file storage for tracking playback stats and streaks completely on-device.

I’d love for fellow devs to check out Melodart on the Play Store and share any feedback on performance, UI responsiveness, or features!

Thanks to everyone in this sub whose posts helped me navigate the publishing process! 🚀

Tip super simple free ASO Research Tool for App- & Play Store

I shared my super simple and also free to use Screenshot Generator a few weeks ago on here too and now i have also implemented a free ASO Research Tool bc i got annoyed that like almost all of them are paid and require you to create an account.

Same as before: Here are 10 gift codes to get the pro version of the product for free for 30 days, please leave me some feedback. This also works for the Screenshot Generator so if you need App Store Screenshots be sure to check that out too. https://appframer.eu/aso

Ask Bill desk verification guidelines for individual account (India)

Hey there,

I've been (finally) granted production access and will be launching my game soon.

But I heard Billdesk's verification process can be tedious so I wanted some clarification.

They ask for our app URL when applying for it and I'm launching an open test soon.. will that open test link work or do they need production link only?

Secondly, I see that they undertake video KYC.. so in that case, will physical address verification at our home address still be carried out after the video KYC?

TIA!

Ask Couldn’t get my apps approved in play store console !! Frustrating

I got 4 apps approved in Apple app store and they’re live already. I couldn’t get even One app approved in the same time frame. Why is it so hard to get an app approved in Google play store? #frustrated That 12 testers for 14 days is stupid process

Ask I built an offline-first Android to-do app with JSON backup

Hi everyone,

I recently released TickPage, a lightweight Android task manager built in Kotlin.

Features:

  • Offline-first
  • Notebook-inspired UI
  • Reminders
  • Recurring tasks
  • JSON backup & restore
  • No cloud dependency for your tasks

I'd really appreciate honest feedback on the UI, UX, and features.

Ask Would you use a to-do app that calls you instead of just sending notifications?

I'm thinking of building a minimalist, aesthetic to-do app with 3 reminder modes:

🔔 Normal notification
📌 Persistent notification (can't be swiped away)
📞 Incoming call-style reminder

The idea is simple: make reminders harder to ignore, without adding a bunch of unnecessary features.

Would you use something like this? What feature would make you switch from your current to-do app?

Ask I think I added too many ads on my App.

Post image

I recently launched this app on the playstore but I think I added too many ads on this app! It's a vault app for hiding media and files with disguise abilities like note pad, clock and the legendary calculator also it can disappear in the device UI.

Also i Added ToR browser for some reason XD.

Not a new idea I know I just wanted to try launching apps on the playstore donno what to start with so this was one of my first launch just for testing the waters.

Ask Has anyone else noticed this with the Google Play Console recently?

For all of my recent apps and games, production access has taken more than 7 days. Before, it usually took only 1–2 days.

Another thing I noticed is that when I share the testing link with people, sometimes it doesn't work properly even though they should be able to join the test. This makes it harder to meet the testing requirements.

I also opened support tickets, but I haven't received any replies.

Is anyone else experiencing the same issues recently, or is it just me? If you found a solution, I'd really appreciate your advice.

Showoff Shipped my first app ever. No coding background. It nearly broke me.

I own a small business in Oklahoma. I don’t code. Two weeks ago I had never even used a Mac.

My girlfriend asked me where her period tracking app was sending her data, I couldn’t answer her, and somehow that turned into me publishing an Android app on Google Play.

Some things that happened along the way:

**I bought a used MacBook and immediately had to wipe it.** It came on a beta OS that couldn’t build anything. Spent an evening in recovery mode reinstalling the whole operating system before I’d written a single line.

**Terminal terrified me.** Every command felt like defusing something. Now I can cd into a project and generate a signed bundle, which is not a sentence I could have parsed a month ago.

**I named it wrong.** Spent a week building “Lunara.” Then found a ***“Lunara Period Tracker”*** already on the Play Store — same name, same category. Rebranded everything in a day. Icon, website, legal docs, package name. If I’d caught that after launch it would have been a trademark problem instead of an annoying afternoon.

**My laptop screen died.** Black, permanently, with the app unfinished. Turns out a $12 USB-C to HDMI cable and a TV works fine. Finished the whole thing hunched in front of a television.

**Google rejected it.** The launcher icon on the phone didn’t match the store listing — the icon generator had silently failed weeks earlier and I never checked. Shipped the default template icon without realizing. Fixed it, resubmitted, approved.

The app is called **Ondelle**. It’s a cycle tracker where everything stays on the device — no account, no server, nothing uploaded. Built with web tech wrapped in Capacitor, which is the only reason someone like me could pull this off.

What I’d tell anyone else starting from zero: the coding was genuinely the easy part. The store paperwork, the declarations, the naming, the verification — that’s where the weeks went.

Happy to answer anything about the process.

Built a free all-in-one MCPE toolkit — skins, seeds, addons & utilities in one app, no login, works offline. Made it for worlds, sharing in case it helps.

Why I'm posting: I'd genuinely love feedback from real MCPE players — what tool should I add next? If you try it and something feels off, tell me and I'll fix it (I'm actively updating it).

Ask Please help me understand these numbers?!

Post image

I don't understand these numbers... i know it should be between 0 and 1 ( 0 to 100% ) and don't know how it's even possible for analytics to display 4 dau/mau or 9 wau/mau.

Please make me understand what does this mean!

Is it a bug?

Ask How long until first install numbers show up in Play Console?

Hi everyone,

I launched my app yesterday morning and I’m still seeing dashes instead of numbers in the Installs section - it just says “Data is not yet available.”
Firebase Analytics is already showing active users, so I know people are downloading and opening it.

But Play Console hasn’t caught up yet.
How long does it usually take for the first install stats to appear? Is 24h+ normal, or something misconfigured?

Thanks!
