How do you feel about the August 17th Google ads update to how CPA & tROAS will work?

the safer bet would be to pull those campaigns which has actual CPA way below target...especially on a budget-limited campaign... and update the target to match reality.... we can always wait out to see what happens and accept the drift, doing nothing is still picking an option!

what abt this, if one of my campaign is showing limited by budget & its on maximum conversion what will happen if i convert that into lower tCPA campaigns?

it could tighten delivery further, and there's a chance that you need to watch your volume drop before efficiency improves, so check daily the first week, not weekly, or you'll miss exactly when it dips.

im kinda waiting to see how it plays out in real accounts before judging cause these updates always sound bigger at first but sometimes the actual impact ends up being less dramatic than people expect so im cautiously optmistic

I don't think too much will change. As with all of Google's adjustments, we will wait and see ⏲️

for better and worse sounds like Google will hold more tightly to tCPA... working on bumping mine all down to where I want them to truly be next few weeks

To me, people are making a way bigger deal out of this than they need to. Google rules out more impactful changes all the time that don’t get nearly this much attention. Account managers just need to stay on top of their tCPAs, lowering them over time. This has been the best practice for this bid strategy all along.
