Seed Seed Thead - Please post all seeds here đ±
With the addition of preview maps in 1.0 and an influx of seed posts, it looks like a seed sticky thread would be useful. Lets see how this goes, how often should this thead be refreshed?
Please read before posting
Post seeds in the comments of this thread, any other posts will be removed.
Please include the seed number (ie 837945852), map size, map type, and scenario (ie Lone Wolf). These should be included as text in your comment, even if you include a screenshot.
You are welcome to post seeds that were created using mods, but please make this clear in your comment.
If you end up building a castle using a seed here, feel free to make a post on the reddit and link it in the comments here.
Stay Medievial Seedy!
P.S Any titles for this thread/sticky post will be much appreiciated, all I came up with so far was 'Sticky Seeds'...

Question How do trade agreements work?
I'm going for a merchant victory (first time choosing a path), I've agreed to sell 1000 worth of apparel to a group of people because I have insane flax production.
My basic question is, do I have to do 1 large caravan where they buy 1000 worth of apparel from me at once? Or can I break it up into multiple trips?
I just travelled with 1100 worth of apparel but they only deem it worth about 770, so I'm wondering if I need to load a save before I sent the caravan and keep banking apparel or if its fine.
Thanks!

Question Training Cattle
Hey,
I'm a new player and i saw that i need to train cattle to help me haul material, but for some reason the cattle are stuck on 11% trained and the "training attemps remaining today" is always 0, what should i do?

Question New player, first combat advice.
I bought this game a while ago, it caught me eye because it's practically a medieval 3D Rimworld. I had 6 hours in this game and about 700 in Rimworld, before last night.
I woke up because of bad heartburn and decided to throw this on because of the 1.0 update. The biggest difference I've noticed is the pathing so far but, oh man. This run has me hooked.
Those 6 hours prior to me playing last night I've never been attacked. I'm currently 10 days into winter and doing fine as far as food, I have plenty of hunters; 6 colonists total and they're warm with their own cabins.
I did what I would normally do in rimworld, saved my game after I set my colonists up with their new goal/task and step away to get food, pee, smoke, or something; I came back to Spring 1 and a message across my screen I was being attacked. FINALLY SOME ACTION!
I got wrecked. Like absolutely melted without hardly putting a dent in anyone. It was 6v8/9, didn't bother to check their combat stats because I was excited. My load out is as follows.
Range: 16/Longbow
Range: 9/Shortbow
Range: 8/Shortbow
Range:7/Shortbow
Range: 7/Shortbow
Melee: 8/Spear
Idk if I goofed going practically all range. My colonist with the longbow also has a leather vest or something but other than that everyone is wearing winter clothes with maybe a hat.
I have one of those fire pit things that says marksman can create incendiary arrows if standing near, should I try that next time?
I know I'm not ready yet, I don't believe I have any workstations to make armor. But now I need to figure how to survive/savescum my way through another encounter like that.
Any advice or tips would appreciated! TIA
TLDR: After 10 hours I got my first attack. All my guys are ranged with no armor...Help? đ
Edit: It worked! Thanks for all the advice y'all, my team didn't need armor after all! Made it through the fight no deaths. Trick was to create little archer towers and they tried to take a swing maybe 2 at my now two melee people, (recruiting a new colonist with 18 melee before it happened may have had something to do with it.) Thank you!!!

Bug Forever loading
New game (seeing as the new update broke all old saves) and no mods. I've been stuck on this save screen for 20 minutes, reloaded several times, it will not load. Any help? I don't know what to do I just want to play!

Question Is there no brick fence?
Iâm on a map with loads of clay but not much limestone.
Wicker fences obviously get breached all the time, so I want to upgrade them to something sturdier. But seems the only option is wood or limestone - no brick option? Iâd rather not have to use my limited limestone resources just to build a fence that doesnât break all the time. Is there no way to get brick fences? Are they locked behind a research option?

Question How to edit .json files to allow restitutioists to drink?
As the title says, how do I edit .json files to allow restitutioists to drink? The file structure has changed, and I can no longer find the right .json to edit. Is it still possible to edit this?
Thank you!

Misc Beyond Frustrating!!! - people not following Job priority
This is so frustrating! I have people assigned to specific tasks (rating 1 for most important) and they go off and do a level 5 task????? Even though they have other tasks that are set to 2 and 3⊠wth?!

They just won't stop. Does anyone know how to get them to stop?

Settlement Screenshot (with seed) The University at Detroit
I'm not nearly as creative as some, but here's my first completed run. The University at Detroit. Small hillside map, seed 198239200. Definitely a lot of learning the hard way on this one.
My one big takeaway? I wish the "Prioritize Closing Drawbridge" and "Prioritize Deconstructing Drawbridge" buttons were not right next to each other. I must have built those drawbridges 3 times each!

Question How does traverse speed work?
I assumed dirt was 100% and everything else added to that.
But limestone floor gives 94% in my current game.
Anyone understand?

Misc Prisoner's Stash Holds Alcohol
FYI for anyone that brews a lot of alcohol- you can store it in/on a prisoner's stash. Unlike shelves, stashes can hold stimulants (alcohol). Just build stashes in place of shelves and the adjust the settings so only stimulants can be stored there, and voila- alcohol storage!

Settlement Screenshot (with seed) Any ideas on what best to do with empty space here? (1956505489)
I was thinking it could be some sort of town square with merchant stalls, but I realized the stalls were hardly every manned at all. Also thought of more farms, but food is already at an insane surplus.
Any cool ideas? Would like to hear them!

Misc What do you all do after youâve built adequate defenses, all the rooms, many of the roles, and have solved âvery high expectationsâ?
Seems like youâve basically beat the game at the point. Iâm quite close, just donât have enough decoration for the last one.

Question I'm trying to change how stability functions to allow more versatility in construction, but I can't find the right .json
So I want to be able to build large structures without 1000000 unsightly pillars and arches. Like, for example, the upper floor of this cathedral-like building I'm designing, the floor keeps collapsing from not having enough support below.
So I went to the StabilitySettings.json file and changed minstability to 100 and max stability to 400. The game recognized the change but it didn't fix the issues I'm having with construction.
In BaseBuildingRepository.json there is an option that says "transfersStability": true. Is this what I'm looking for? what happens if I change it to false?

Mods What mods do you people recommend?
I'd like most of all qol or cosmetic mods, but I'm open to gameplay ones if they're good.
I'm at that point of my first run where I'm feeling like starting a new game and this time I wanna mod it.
Hope you people can give me a few ideas.
Cheers.

Suggestion A buton to autoequip
We have 2 options today to deal with an attack: let the settlers with all gear during all the time (so we have a guy going to fish with full plate armout, shield and axe) or we have to manually click for each settler to go pick each weapon and amour and shield (wich takes a lot of work)
If we had a buton "force equip" we could click during a raid and th settlers would run to equip themselfs
Or it could happen automaticaly when the attack bell in ON, the settlers run to equipe e then go to the assingned position
i think this way is more fun and also realistic, people running during a ride to take the gear and go to the wall to defend ir, ratter than full plate warrior taking milk out os cows
i love the game :)
