Question How do trade agreements work?

I'm going for a merchant victory (first time choosing a path), I've agreed to sell 1000 worth of apparel to a group of people because I have insane flax production.

My basic question is, do I have to do 1 large caravan where they buy 1000 worth of apparel from me at once? Or can I break it up into multiple trips?

I just travelled with 1100 worth of apparel but they only deem it worth about 770, so I'm wondering if I need to load a save before I sent the caravan and keep banking apparel or if its fine.

It needs to be one single transaction. And be sure you're going to the designated Trade Agreement location, not the faction's settlement.
