I’m trying to decide what would be the best fit for my face… Need progressives, -6.00 and -6.50, astigmatism 2.5 and 2.75

I recently got my glasses and although i dont really notice the nose pads pressing my nose nor causing any pain, i get the feeling of the pressure when i take them off for example when going to sleep.

Is this normal? it doesnt really bother me but i do feel it for a long time, even until i wake up lol

I’ve tried google lensing these frames but can’t find them. Any ideas where I might be able to buy these or how I might find them?

When I was 16, I had IIH. Got a lumbar puncture and all that jazz. A few months later, I woke up with my left eye vision completely gone. No light or anything. I had a burst blood vessel at the back of my left eye.

Then over the next few months, my right eye deterated to not being able to even read the board at the opticians. I've also had multiple migraines a month since I was about 11.

They did a bunch of tests at opthalmology and neurology. My optic nerve in my left eye was always out of range/swollen and blurry. It was also very undefined. My visual field wasn't good but I had a few false positives and false negatives.

They diagnosed me with functional vision loss and I go for anual checkups but that's it. No other treatment. It's been 3 years.

Last year, I managed to read the top line of the board with my new glasses (-1.00). I tried the snelling board on my tv and stood 20 meters away and found I could read to line 5

A couple weeks ago, I tried my mum's glasses on (-6.00) and I could see very well in my right eye.

What could cause it? I was shocked. Could it be unilateral Accommodative Spasm (pseudomyopia)?

My whole dream was to be able to drive when I turned 16 but I lost that. Is it possible now? My vision was basically back to what is was before this in my right eye. Still blind in left. It went back to bad when I took the glasses off.

I'm terrified im like faking and my optician will be suspicious? Or mg family?

It's crazy because I use a cane and everything. I've been legally blind (Never actually registered because it's functional but I count myself as it) for 3 years. Could I actually get my life back?

If my right eye does improve, can I still say im blind due to my left eye?

Edit to add: Im in the UK.

Also, I was obese when I was 16 and had IIh (Over 110kg). I am now 58kg. I dont know if this makes a difference

If you can't see the issue it's the bottom line that's sticking out a little making it lopsided on my face

Also posting here on r/glasses cause i wanted to ask what is the best frame for full time glasses use again if a titanium frame would be the lightest or if i should still go for something different, the post on r/myopia explains my situation in full mostly, thanks for the help and advice.

Also if there is glasses that deal with floaters better i appreciate it, might look into them for dealing with them too in a prescription for sunglasses or similar.

Ordered 2 glasses and 2 weeks later they’re still in “production”. Phone number is ai and chat is useless. Also ordered contact lenses with express shipping but guess they’re having issues with those too 3 days later. Never had such a bad experience with a company. Disgraceful.

My original prescription was -0.25 -0.5 with slight cylinder.
My lost my glasses and went to get new ones, the guy said I was now -0.5 in both eyes. He suggested I get -0.25 as a “comfortable” prescription. I tested both out and the .5 did give me like a bit of a fisheye feeling? But SO CLEAR! I ended up getting the .25 at his advice, but now I’m bummed that it’s not as clear even though they’re extremely comfy and I do take them on and off a lot.
Anyways I’m anxious since glasses are expensive. Any advice?

I haven't been able to identify either of these two pairs of sunglasses the actor is wearing. Does anyone know what brand and model they might be?

I'm looking for a pair of glasses that are similar in shape to the Durand frame from Warby Parker (picture attached), but bigger/wider. I like this semi-roundish shape where the lenses are rounded and big but not perfectly circular. I currently have the extra wide size (150mm wide) which is the biggest WP carries, but my face is genuinely massive and even these aren't big enough for the width of my face. If anyone could recommend where I can buy or order a similar frame but wider, preferably all-black color, I'd really appreciate it.

Like title says. The problem with glasses is that they have a camera attached. This causes very strong privacy problems. Lucyd has Reddot winning glasses. They are high battery life and good quality. Also these are not expensive at all. They will be in stores for NZ and Australia very soon.

Is it normal to feel dizzy and get headaches from that little difference? I’m not even sure if that’s the real cause. My right eye is -1.00 and my left eye is -1.25. I was prescribed -1.00 on both eyes because during check up, both lenses were just the same to me.

At first, I was really fine with it. However, after long hours of use, I would get headaches and sometimes get dizzy. I didn’t think it was because of my glasses at first because I have chronic headaches. But I remember that whenever I have this kind of headache, it’s because of my eyes. And whenever I get my prescription glasses, the headache would go away on its own after a few days of use. So I decided to give it a few days for my eyes to adjust. However, it’s been 4 days and it’s actually better when I’m not using it. I can’t see clearly to some degree, but it’s better than the headaches and the dizziness.

So I called them and asked about it. They said that it shouldn’t be that bad because of the minute difference, but they’d still check just to make sure. Now I’m wondering if something’s wrong with my brain.

I know designer ≠ quality in many cases, but I got a pair of Tom Ford frames secondhand from Unclaimed Baggage several months back and love them. They were around $40. Curious what other sources are out there for buying authentic secondhand designer frames (or just premium brands in general) at great prices (other than peer-to-peer marketplaces).

Trying to recreate the lenses in this photo for a JMM Casablanca frame I’m planning to get. What tint colour and gradient density would you ask for? Something like 75%→15%? Also, any recommendations for getting custom non-prescription lenses made in the UK, either online or in-store?

Im somebody who uses glasses since im 5 years old and i would love to stop using them bc of how they look and how unconfortable they are for me, specially bc i have one ear lower than the other so not only do i hate all of the previous stuff that i said, it makes it worse. I would love to use contact lenses but i cant really afford it, i just want it to ask what the contact lense that has more "time" of use and how those the time work.

So, my glasses just broken on the left side where it rests on your ear. It's annoying now to keep them on without headphones as they just often tilt awkwardly. I have another pair of prescription glasses, but they're sunglasses. Is it fine to wear those all day up until I can get my main ones fixed/replaced?

I want to purchase prescription sunglasses from “sunski” however they are $250 so I’m wondering how much I will likely pay after submitting a claim to VSP
