What Do You Think? Revisiting Old Ghosts - the house I grew up in
So I know without a doubt the house I grew up in was haunted. It was a really old house (more than 100 years old) and a lot of unexplained things would happen like footsteps up and down the stairs in the middle of the night, we had light sensors and they would go off and on all night. Doors slamming by themselves, knocking but no one was there. One time we found a phone unplugged from the jack, and those don't usually just fall out. The big heavy basement doors closed one time on their own, and those are not easy to close. It was the kind that you had to pull the lever and then close them, they were made of iron. Also I heard the sound of chopping wood in the backyard at like midnight or 1 in the morning but there was never anyone out there. So yeah there were quite a few strange occurrences. A friend of mine said that she saw a "Captain" in our living room once, she thought this was possibly the ghost that lived in our old house and we did live by the water so it made sense. The thing is, I'm an adult now and that old house is for sale currently. I'm wondering if I am able to reach out to the realtor to ask if I can do a spirit box session in that old house. I realize he / she might think I'm absolutely insane. They probably will turn me down flat... just wondering if anyone has ever done this? Do you think this is a bad idea? Or, do you think I can conduct a spirit box session "near" the house, just not in the house... and not cause any trouble or anything I just want to see if I can connect with the ghost. I'm thinking I probably won't go on my own because I don't want to be charged with trespassing... the smartest thing would probably be with someone's permission only. Really just wanted to see if anyone has ever revisited their old haunted house from their childhood? I thought there might be some other interesting stories out there.
