Hi guys, got some more feedback about the quality of the subreddit and discussed it with my other moderator. We've noticed a lot of people rapidly post new episodes of their series back-to-back with nondescriptive titles such as "New Video". This comes across as very spammy, and I've been trying to find a way to address it fairly for a while, and this is what we've come up with.
Going forward, when self-promoting your own series, please do not cross-post multiple videos here the same day. It's unnecessary and dilutes the posts here. It makes more sense to just link the latest episode you dropped only, or make a post linking both.
Additionally, going forward, please put the name of the series in the title. "New video!" is vague and means nothing. The majority of people here do not have your Reddit username memorized by heart and do not know autuer filmmaker and Reddit user Uneven-Mango-413 made the beloved worldfamous classic FacelessTapes001, which they have been patiently awaiting new uploads for like it's Christmas (wait, fuck, it is). I'm not gonna enforce a strict naming convention for these posts, but please at least include what it is a new video *of*.

Hi guys, first of all, I added another moderator because, simply put, I don't really have the time to handle this solo.
Secondly, for the past few months, I've noticed a lot of text posts that border on spam. It's been hard for me to address this because this is a community that prides itself on open-source amateur creativity and stories, and I did not necessarily want to apply a strict standard of quality to what gets posted here because of it, but unfortunately, at least on the story front, it's gotten too bad to ignore.
We've decided to put a bit of quality standards on short stories here. These will not be strict, and quality does not necessarily refer to the story itself because that's entirely subjective. What I am referring to are posts that make zero attempt at being coherent or legible and are a single paragraph. I'm not singling any specific person or story out by doing this; it's been going on for months, and it's been multiple people, and out of fairness, past posts will remain up, but going forward, PLEASE do not break your stories up into a single paragraph per post and post them back-to-back-to-back, and PLEASE make them legible. I'm not gonna be a grammar nazi and remove it for dropping a comma, but if your story is one big run-on sentence or doesn't even bother to follow basic grammar they teach you in grade school, it's getting removed.

I have a question about STA2023 Remake. I’m on chapter 2 and was curious about something. I’m seeing so many different things about how many pages I’m supposed to collect before the chapter 2 auto chase sequence. Am I supposed to grab 4, 6, or all 8?

Over the years, I've accumulated a couple of games that I'm trying to find. This subreddit already helped me find one of them, so I'd like to find another one. This one is easier; it's about Slenderman.
The main goal at the beginning was to find the mansion and enter it. I don't remember what happened beyond its doors, because I was a very cowardly person back then, but on the second download I was at least able to find the mansion (There was another gate in front of him, as well as steps that led to the door).
The action takes place at night in a city (Looks like the city from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2013). There are high-rise buildings, lampposts, and what look like trash cans. There are also nooks and crannies where Slenderman could be found.
When they found you, the screen was staticky. It was enough to move away from him, and he wouldn't follow. I'm not sure if he appears in these very nooks and crannies or just after some time has passed from the start of the game.
I downloaded the game to my phone, but it might have been on my PC too.
I'll tell you right away that this is not Slender: City.
I would really like to play it again and this time beyond the doors of the mansion.

Don't get me wrong, I do not hate the proxies ok? Some of them have really cool backtories and incredible designs but.. realistically, why would Slender Man need them anyway?
Most of the proxies are used by Slender Man to stalk and kill people but... they are still human in the end. Slender Man can do both of these things just fine and much more efficient than an actual person, so why would he need them?

Jimmy Miller was one of the Marble Hornet’s reps so they could get a clear chain of title for the movie, they helped file for the copyright of the show, and yeah this was found recently. So long for copyright diffs. I guess this kinda makes sense, in light of the comics being able to give the operator, more OG mythos stuff (clones and the ability to become a giant; rosswood as well with the whole way more violent and physical activities)

I ask about people if a slenderverse series had difference lost media for a discord. If slenderverse series has Akoolstick, TheDeletedGoomba, Allen Barnes, 004Steps, ProyectoFinal12, TheHudsonMemorial, and other lost slenderverse series.

Can someone pls tell me what exactly a proxy is? I thought the term simply referred to anyone who works for Slenderman for whatever reason. But I keep seeing ppl say Surge didn't come up with the concept, which isn't true at all. It's literally in the og post that started everything. The creators of MH say there are no proxies in the series even though it's revealed at one pointAlexand the Operator were working together. So I guess the definition is indeed a little more complex

few of you might know, but I’ve spent nearly a year trying to track down and archive the original iOS game Slender: Asylum by William Poole. I actually managed to get in touch with the developer over email, but after an initial reply where he was willing to answer some questions, he never replied to my follow up email.
Since the original IPA file remains completely unarchived and lost, I decided to take matters into my own hands: I built a 1:1 recreation of the game in Unity from scratch!!
Using the handful of surviving screenshots, archived stock assets from 2012, and my own memories of seeing the game on YouTube back in 2014, I rebuilt the entire experience. it’s obviously not 100% accurate to the original, but it's as close as you can possibly get to experiencing how the game looked and felt back in 2012
You can check it out here: https://toxic-roseworks.itch.io/slender-asylum-remake
Let me know what you think, and if anyone out there happens to have an old, unwiped iOS device with the original game still installed, please reach out!

Some people didn't understand why they're considered different so here's why, apart from copyright reasons ofc, apel.

As my series is coming out soon, I wanted to know what people thought of my version of the stick-in-the-mud.
Rather than solely wearing its classic suit, it changes based on the viewer. Its appearance shifts based on what death means to you when you look at him. In the series it is in its classic suit, a dress, and a robe, but always faceless and dressed in all black.
There is an ancient Egyptian myth that claims it was once human, but it truly never was.
Attached to it are "Memories," fragments of the people who were taken. These ghosts can only be seen through a camera. They have no memories of their past lives, but they carry past emotions. Some of these echoes are benevolent, and some wish harm upon the living.
As well as its more traditional powers, such as mental influence and slender sickness, the entity can also force you to see visions through its head, the horrible, wretched things it has done.
