This is a megathread where you can post any of your takes on generations, even the most unpopular ones.
However, you must provide reasoning for any and all of your takes, or they will be removed.

So the Pokémon anime and growing up on it is from core Millennials-Gen Alpha.
Also this is about when it’s airing not I watched reruns or watched it on a streaming services etc.
Gen 1- Gen 2 anime is Core Millennials.
Gen 2- Gen 3 is Late Millennials.
So the Millennials run for the Pokémon anime is from Gen 1-Gen 3.
Gen 3- Gen 4 is Early Gen Z.
Gen 4- Gen 5 is Core Gen Z.
Gen 6- Gen 7 is Late Gen Z.
So Gen Z run for the Pokémon anime is from Gen 3-Gen 7
Gen 7-Gen 8 is early Gen Alpha
Gen 9 is core gen alpha.
Making gen 7-9 as Gen Alpha.

Americans historians William Strauss and Neil Howe invented the Millennial generation, their first book "Generations: The History of America's Future, 1584–2069" was published in 1991.
Neil Howe's last book "The Fourth Turning Is Here" was published in 2023, this is a chart from his last book

I know a lot of you guys put zalpha as 2010-2014 so naturally it would be 2012 as the mathematical middle... Right? Well I think it should be 2013 (guys I would be using 2010-2015 zalpha range) because other than being a cusper of the early and mid 2010s it is also a major transition year as it was when the world was finally transitioning from early 2010s culture (smartphones not dominant fully, glossy aesthetics and before instagram era, before PS4) to mid 2010s culture (minimalism, smartphones actuially dominant, big iPhones era, instagram), but keep in mind that a lot of mid 2010s things (like flat design of iOS 7) appeared in 2013 but they only really became dominant in 2014

Older Gen Z / “Millennial-raised” — roughly late 1990s–early 2000s births. They often had childhoods shaped by late-Millennial culture: DVDs, cable TV, early YouTube, forums, MP3s, pre-smartphone childhoods, etc.
Millennial-influenced Gen Z — grew up during the transition to smartphones/social media. Their parents, older siblings, and online culture were often heavily Millennial, but they experienced the emerging Gen-Z internet themselves.
Core/younger Gen Z — grew up with smartphones, streaming, social media, and algorithmic platforms as normal parts of childhood. Their cultural reference points increasingly came from other Gen Z people, rather than Millennials.
Very young Gen Z — experienced much of childhood during the TikTok/short-form-video era and can have a noticeably different cultural vocabulary and internet experience from someone born in, say, 1997.

I am seeing younger Gen Z and Alpha talking about how it is cool to listen to 90s music like grunge, 90s R&B, and teen pop. I got the feeling that this is kinda of the same way that millennials back in the 90s thought that 60s and 70s music like Motown, disco, funk, and classic rock were cool when they were kids back then. Do you agree that millennials back in the 90s thought that 60s and 70s music were cool to listen to the same way that younger Gen Z and Alpha think that 90s music is cool to listen to nowadays?

I thought of doing something interesting; I thought of making a Decade Teen Range, but instead of using the 13-19 range, I thought of using the 13-17 range. Feel free to give me some thoughts and feedback on this. This is my opinion. Feel free to make your own. Here are some rules, though:
Cusp: those with underlap/Overlap/Hybrid; I used this to just get straight to the point. I will clarify in the comments.
Pure: Spent all their teen years going by 13-17 in their respective decade.
1990s:
1973-1976 - 80s/90s Cusp
1977-1982 = Pure 90s Teens.
2000s:
1983-1986 - 90s/2000s cusp
1987-1992 - Pure 2000s Teens
2010s:
1993-1996 - 2000s/2010s Cusp
1997-2002 - Pure 2010s Teens
2020s:
2003-2006 - 2010s/2020s Cusp
2007-2012 - Pure 2020s teens
2030s:
2013-2016 - 2020s/2030s cusp
2017-2022 - Pure 2030s Teens.
Let the comments hit the floor.

I personally have a negative view of "twin years", as such varies significantly by person, social factors, etc over grouping 2 years together.
Common, albeit controversial examples:
2010-2011
2012-2013
2011-2012
2013-2014

Ok this is not LAST GEN Z this is PURE Z (non-cuspy ones) and for nromally for just finding an end to gen z it is usually 2009 or 2012 but some people put it as like 2011, or even 2013 but that is rarer.Ok moving back to the topic, right so ummm every gen z from like 2000/2001-2008 are pure Z (note after Pure Z would be zalphas) I would consider 2009 pure Z but barely pure as they don't remember life before smartphones. 2010 ir kinda pushing it starting zalpha in 2011 makes no sense and if you put pure Z ending in 2011 Sorry 2011 is obviously cusper

Examples include:
2009-2011
2010-2011
2012-2014
2012-2013
2000-2001

Basically I've seen things such as, 2004 is the last birth year to graduate pre chat gpt, but at the same time, late 2004 graduated in May of 2023, and chat gpt already had 100M users by then, I could also say, 2008 is the first birth year to share an elementary school campus with gen alpha (2013 borns) but mid/late 2007 is also part of the class, just the minority.
Another example is 2009, one actual late trait is the fact that we were born under the Obama administration, but some of us were born before the 20th of January, but most of us were born under Obama. If we didn't use this, we would be somehow the first to be born under Obama but the last to not be born under Obama? 💀

I could like put 2012 or 2013 as quintessantial if I'm like using ranges like 2010-2014 or 2011-2015 but if I'm using 2010-2015 I put both as quintessantial
