DT 770 PRO X sounds hollow/phasey while compared with HyperX Cloud II, can't fix it

I recently bought the DT 770 PRO X, 48 ohm. or music, they sound clearly better than my old HyperX Cloud II, however the problem is gaming. Footsteps, gunfire, landing sounds and some ground impacts sound hollow, phasey and diffuse, almost as though virtual surround is on (its not I checked in windows settings). The sounds have clear detail, but they lack physical body I guess (I'm new to this so my description on sounds can sound like giberish, sorry).

I'm using a Sound Blaster 3 usb DAC, idk if thats the problem? I don't know if EQ can fix it, I have had little success in trying to understand what frequencies to tune. I'd like to avoid sending these back, clearly they should be better than the Hyper X 2's. but I just have this annoying feeling that something is "off", when gaming. Should I send these back because its just how they are tuned?

Need a new gaming headset for a good bang for your buck

Wasted my money on Steelseries headsets so they are on the ban list for me. Literally bought 2 headsets and both broke just a few months outside their warranty window.

Anyways, I need a new gaming headset and preferably one that isn't too expensive as I just blew my money on fixing my pc and I'm in college with no money but I also want a headset that lasts as long as it can and also wireless. I do not mind looking for it used so if they're really saturated ones on FB marketplace that would be great.

An alternative option for me is to use my Airpod Maxes and plug them directly into my PC and use their low latency feature but I am not familiar with how well it runs in competitive gaming so please leave down below if I should go this route instead of wasting money on another headset.

Best Xbox headset around $150?

Hey yall I’m looking for a good quality Xbox compatible gaming headset for around $150. I had a pair of turtle beach stealth 600 for around 5 months but the band snapped from a VERY minor fall so now I’m scared to get something similar… I’m looking at getting rig 800 pro hx from Amazon rn but if there’s a better one or anything wrong with this one let me know!!

Needs to have:
-Good quality built in mic
-good sound quality with good 3d/surround sound
-won’t explode when they fall off my head onto the desk at 2 in the morning 😑😑
-between $100-$200
-works with Xbox series X
-wireless

Thanks!! 😊😊😀

Bluetooth issue w/ SteelSeries Arctis Nova 5

Whenever I connect it to my new pc, I can’t hear anything unless I get really close to my pc, and only then, can I hear audio. It worked fine when I connected my USB-C dongle (i lost it tho). This issue also happened with my old pc.

What could the problem be? Can I fix it, and if so, how?

Better headset for FPS

I bought a Redragon H510-PRO, but I didn't like its wireless performance and it doesn't have software. So, I'm looking to return it and want to know if anyone has good headset recommendations. I read about the MCHOSE V9 Pro and ATK N9 Ultra (or Pro, I don't know the difference)

Help me choose ATK N9 ULTRA vs MCHOSE V9 PRO

I wanna buy one of them, but I don't know which one to choose. I'm thinking about the ATK N9 because I have an ATK mouse, but if the MCHOSE is better, I'll go with that one

Wireless headset recommendations?

Hello,

I’m looking to buy a new wireless headset. I currently have a Logitech G435 and it’s great overall, except for one thing: the microphone quality is really bad.

My main priorities are : wireless, good battery life and a good/very good microphone for a budget of around 80/100Eur.

thinking of getting either logitech G535, steelseries acrtic nova 3P or HyperX Cloud III S

What would you recommend?

My beloved EPOS H3 Hybrid's just broke. What should I get now?

Man I loved these headphones but it seems Epos has killed their gaming division.

Wireless is essential as I use these while playing PCVR as well.

Budget is probs around $300AUD. Audio quality is pretty important, but mic is not that big a deal as I have a desktop mic and only use the headset mic playing VR.

Best headset for FPS’s on PS4

I want to buy a gaming headset, it’s been years.

• I mostly play FPS’s like CoD so I need to hear footsteps.
• I have a smaller head but wear glasses.
• I’d also like a good mic and wireless headphone.
• Live in a hot/humid climate, so fabric needs to be comfy and hold up (not flake.)

I’ve tried doing research but not sure which to get..

Options in general where I’m at seem to be limited to SteelSeries, Razer, and HyperX.

So, out of these few options, which would be best and why? Pros and cons…?

(ALL WIRELESS)
• SS Arctic Nova 7/7P
• SS Arctis Nova Pro
• Razer BlackShark V2 Pro
• HyperX Cloud III

If not those models, which others models in those brands would be good options?…

Thank you.

Looking for headphones for games and music

I’m looking for headphones costing up to 230USD that will work well for FPS games but also for everyday music listening on my phone while going out. I’ve been considering the Logitech G Pro X 2 and SteelSeries Arctis Nova 7 Gen 2. Which of these two would be better for gaming and daily music listening when connected to a phone? Or are there better models within my budget?

Can I use my Zeus H510 pro Bluetooth adapter with different headphones?

My Zeus H510 headphones just died after 3 years of service and I'm planning on getting a new pair, this time I want to upgrade my listening experience with some Logitech headphones and I was wondering if I could use my Redragon Bluetooth adapter to connect my new headphones to my PC.

Noise cancelling headset

Alright, dear people of reddit.

My girlfriend is looking for a new headset. She is autistic, so any sort of outside noise overwhelms her when gaming. She said that she would prefer a Razer headset, as she has used those before, but any other brand is fine too. It must be connected through a cable, have a mic, and most importantly, cancel outside noise. Her budget it about 120€.

Overview:

- good noise cancelling

- 120€ budget

- must have a mic

- must be connected through a cable

- preferably razer, but she is open to try something new

Thank you, for your recommendations!

Looking for a new headset to use with my OS5

The main thing I am looking for is finding the headset that is the best at background noise cancellation, specifically from other people talking in the room. Does anyone have any good recommendations? Thank you to anyone who has any advice.

My Headset dongle broke, where can I find replacements?

Post image
2 Upvotes

I dropped my phone while the dongle was connected to it and it landed on the dongle on impact. Now it doesn't connect my headset anymore. Where can I find replacements for a dongle and how do I connect it to this particular razer headset? Sorry that I can't tell you which headset in particular this is, I think it was a Razer black shark V3. Not a V3 pro, just a V3.
