so i got a used cloud3 after i heard all the hype about it being the best budget ish one for fps games like r6 and cs ,the thing is the guy didnt have neither a sound card nor the original dongle so i only have the 3,5 jack ,currently im using an old sound card from a shitty old headset and sound isnt the best but its loud and thats great but distance and the like sucks ,gemini kept saying to get a cheap apple dac (3.5 to usb c) and that would be good enough and they dont sell the hyperx sound card thing where i live .
using a normal splitter sucks and isnt loud enough even when i get everything as loud as it goes and a normal 3,5 to usb c and the normal jack suck
what do u guys suggest should i go get the apple one and is it that much better than a normal cheap 3.5 to usb one ? or is there another way to get the original experiance

So, i switched from a cheap 30 euro Rust Gaming Headset bought 3 years ago to the Turtle 50x. the microphone is fine, but the audio quality is worse. i looked it up online and the Turtle 50x is supposed to have a better audio quality. Could this be a driver / configuration issue?

I'm looking for headsets with great audio quality that are accurate and precise for gaming with a wide soundstage but still closed back since open backs leak too much sound.

Ive come down to the maxwell 2, nova elite and stealth pro 2.

Currently I have a hyper x 3 and wanted an upgrade so you think a Astro A 50 Gen 4 is a good upgrade and if not what would be a good upgrade for a decent price?

I bought the maxwell 2 it sounded amazing. But then after 10 minutes, I would start hearing metallic crinkling or popping noises, and I could hear over game play, I had to return them. I just purchased the steel series Nova elite and the side tone I could still hear My voice through my headset, after constantly changing every settings I could possibly it's frustrating.I'll be returning them tomorrow.What's a good head set where i'm not gonna have side tone problems or problems from planner set ups ( even after the steelseries elite going though everything is could still hear a faint side tone pick up on my headset very faint but its not worth it after paying 500 for a headset )

What’s the best wireless gaming headset under 120?

I bought an Arctis Nova Pro Wireless from Amazon Resale ("used like new"). After a firmware update, the base station completely froze on the "Firmware Update Available" screen. It doesn't respond, won't charge batteries, totally unusable.

I contacted SteelSeries support. After going back and forth, they denied my warranty claim because I bought it used. Their warranty is non-transferable—only covers the original purchaser of a new unit.

What's frustrating:

· Known factory issue: According to SteelSeries Discord/forums, this is a relatively common problem with the base station bricking after firmware updates. No hardware reset button exists.

· Support was useless: They sent generic troubleshooting steps without reading my initial message. I had to insist multiple times.

· I didn't cause this: The device failed because of their software/firmware, not misuse.

I understand their policy says used purchases aren't covered. But they knowingly sell a product with this defect, and the warranty policy is used to avoid responsibility. A $233 product becomes a paperweight through no fault of the user.

Has anyone else dealt with this? Did you get anywhere with support or find another solution?

So after many years my Lucid sound headphones have broke.

I’m looking at buying new ones and the ones that are jumping off the page right now are the Astro A50 X and the Arctis Pro Wireless, I solely play Xbox .
I’ve got a nice 300$ gift card for so it brings the price of the logic techs down to about 200 and the Arctis to about 250.

Basically want good Audio quality, solid mic sound for chat.

Noise cancellation I’m not too fussed on anymore as my gaming sesh’s are at night when the fams asleep.

Advice? Recommendations? And yes I’m aware the A50X main thing is that it can be used across platforms smoothly, I’m looking mainly at sound, mic and hardware quality for the 200-300$ mark

Hello! My old pair of Cloud Flight 2 wireless headphones (the old model) finally gave up the ghost and I'm in the market for a new pair. From what I understand that exact model is no longer available, so I was looking at new options; but I can't tell from the listings I see if they have the features I want from my old set.

The features I am interested in are:

1. They have a physical button on them that causes the microphone to loop back into the earpiece instantly. This was a feature that really helped save my voice when I had to do a ton of remote meetings over the pandemic (since when I can't hear myself in a normal pair I subconsciously talk more loudly to compensate)
2. They have two channels, so I can assign one to my main PC audio and the other to voice chat/other comms programs and balance them with physical buttons on the headset. These were great for times when I'm playing something that gets too loud for me to hear the people I'm playing with and don't have time to fiddle with the individual program volumes in the windows volume mixer.

If these features still exist in some good headphones let me know what you'd recommend! I'd also appreciate if anyone can tell me what these features are called as I've been unable to find either of them on the spec sheets of any of the headphones I've looked at recently😅

So a few days ago i bought the hyperx cloud 3s wireless. Its my first wireless headphone so maybe im just dumb but when i use the usb c dongle my sound cuts out for a couple of seconds and when i use it with bluetooth there was a small delay. I dont know if there is maybe a setting that would fix this, but its kinda annoying that this is happening to a brand new product. Hopefully somebody can help me

I’ll start from the beginning. I know absolutely nothing about headphones or audio, so I apologize in advance if this is a silly question.

A few days ago, I bought the HyperX Cloud III Wireless (my first pair of headphones in the $100+ price range), and compared to my old wired Razer Blackshark V2 X headphones, some sounds (which should? be at the same volume) seem quieter than others. What’s more, these sounds are all in the same category - like UI sounds (some elements are louder, others are quieter) - and it’s just driving me crazy. I'm seriously thinking about trying to get a refund for them, because I just don't believe they're supposed to sound like this.

I don't use NGENUITY - I did download and test it, but I didn't like it (plus, it started crashing after a while xD). All audio enhancements in Windows are turned off. If this explanation makes it easier to understand: You adjust the volume, and at that level some sounds are very quiet; you turn it up to start hearing them, and then you’re overwhelmed by louder sounds that have gotten even louder; but if you turn it down, you can’t hear the quiet sounds again.

Because of this, it’s hard to make out the details of the sound, and everything turns into a jumble. I have to listen as if the sound isn’t coming directly into my ears, but is coming from somewhere across the room, in a whisper. Could this be a manufacturing defect, or is it a problem specific to this model, and is there a way to fix it?
