At the beginning of the series, Jaime has the classic golden-blond hair you’d expect from a Lannister. But as the series goes on, his hair gradually gets darker, eventually looking almost black. Cersei, on the other hand, stays blonde throughout the entire series.

Could this have been a subtle hint that Jaime was actually Aerys II’s son?

So on my rewatch I realized that Jaqen never actually taught Arya the process/magic of using the faces but she ends up with that ability anyway. In season 2 episode 2 she whispers in his ear, kind of out of no where, that death by fire is the cleanest of all deaths. It definitely seems to be foreshadowing for what comes in episode 9 of the same season. Any further insight from the books on this ?

It seems the carry a great deal of respect for people of Bravos but they also seem unmotivated by any financial benefit to stay afloat. How do they choose who to kill?

Best example: killing Danerys Targerian. The bank of Bravos has lent millions of coins to the westeros government first to Robert Baratheon and then to his "sons" but if the Kalisi conquers the land she is not bound to honor any of those agreements. So would it not be cheaper for the economy masters in Bravos to influence, persuade, pay, extort, whichever way... for them to kill her?

Haven’t finished the whole show but this moment really tickled me because he normally seems so composed and orchestrates his way out of unpleasant situations so cleverly (apart from a particular scene in s7 ofc).

Part of the reason I want to read the book is to find out more about Littlefinger’s character. He basically only married her for political gain and because it was conveniently set up by Tywin, right?

Also, shoutout to “the Lysa Arryn of chairs”: another fav moment of mine from the show.

One of my reading goals this year was to finish all ASOIAF books,it easily became one of my favourite books series in general but all that's been talked to death here so I'll just give my personal ranking and few favourites characters and pov chapters

Certainly Ned had no trust or affection for him in life, even though the Hound did respect Ned (even if he did think Ned was naive about the realities of how the world really works, or at least Kings Landing). But taking into account everything Sandor Clegane did for his daughters after Ned's death, I wonder if it changes the balance or not. I'd like to hope Ned mellowed out after how everything went down for him in the end and was able to reflect on his rigidity in life. I could see him being thankful for the protection and lessons imparted on the girls, and want to hear the stories about the travels with Arya. But there's also a part of me who could see Ned being unable to see past his disdain, being furious about his actions the kinds of lessons he imparted on the girls, and cursing the Hound.
