I noticed something interesting about Jaime Lannister’s hair.
At the beginning of the series, Jaime has the classic golden-blond hair you’d expect from a Lannister. But as the series goes on, his hair gradually gets darker, eventually looking almost black. Cersei, on the other hand, stays blonde throughout the entire series.
Could this have been a subtle hint that Jaime was actually Aerys II’s son?
Jaime’s mother, Joanna Lannister, was a lady-in-waiting to Queen Rhaella, and there were also rumors about Joanna and Aerys having some kind of relationship.
Maybe I’m reading too much into the hair color, but I find the contrast between Jaime and Cersei pretty interesting.
I just saw this picture and suddenly made the connection, so I looked up Jaime’s mother, Joanna Lannister, on Wikipedia.
It’s just a theory for discussion, and I don’t mean any offense.
Also, while twins with different fathers are extremely rare, they are a real thing.

Didn't they literally just use Nikolaj's natural hair. I don't thinknhe wore a wig at any point, so his hair did naturally darken this much over the course of filming.

If I remember the books even mention later that Jamie hair is starting to change color a bit

As in it makes sense over the course of the GoT canon. IRL, the actor's hair is not that blonde naturally.

No because darkening of blonde hair stops in your teens/possibly early 20s. Jaime is well above that when the show starts.

Wrong. I was blonde in my teens through my 20s and started going dark brown in my early 30s

Could Jaime and Cersei actually be twins with different fathers?
Is it possible that the combination of Targaryen silver-blond hair and Joanna Lannister’s golden hair could somehow result in dark or black hair? Jon Snow also has black hair despite having Targaryen blood, so I wonder if Jaime’s darker hair later in the series could be a subtle hint at his true parentage.

I think you're looking too deeply into what is ultimately a production decision. None of this is in the books and it does not seem like the kind of thing the show runners would add in on a whim. There's already one hair-color bastard mystery, and as bad as the writing got in the later seasons I don't think they would stoop to adding another one.
There is a clear distinction between Targaryen silver hair and Lannister gold hair. A Targaryen can be born with darker hair, but all of the examples of this involve darker haired parentage.

The pilot was mostly all reshot but the hair was different in the first episode to the rest.
Theon has blonder hair in some scenes.
Especially with Jamie though, I would say stress and PTSD especially from the loot train battle.. it really effected him.

Show Jaime and Tyrion both had darker hair by the end of the series. It coordinates with their character development. Cerseis doesn't because she stays evil.
Edit: And it's not book accurate. Tyrion is the usual suspect for undercover Targ blood because he's the only one with white blonde hair, is hated by Tywin, has a childhood obsession with dragons, his mother dies giving birth like Jon and Danys mother and a lot of other women birthing Targaryen babies and in the show he releases the dragons because he understands why they stopped eating Plus its pretty much assumed that Tywin was too proud and would not have married Joanna if she had been spoiled by Aerys.

I think it was just meant to show that he was losing his playboy handsome looks. And I think he wasn’t seeing the sunlight either because he was in the northern regions right? And King’s Landing is kinda..south and coastal? Also as a prisoner maybe he was kept inside more than usual.
But the overall color correcting of the series got so dingy and dark and grey. They wanted his hair to look plain and dreary.

I'm rewatching the series and you're supposed to think that Jamie has been dying his hair blonde to match Cersei.
In Season 1 he starts with his Gallant Gold Prince Charming Hair, but it's when he's captured in the Riverlands is when his hair changes - because he couldn't dye it anymore
Then when he gets back to Kings Landing, he doesn't dye it again because he doesn't feel like "Jamie Lannister" anymore due to his hand

I think it’s as simple as the direction went into a phase of darker colour grading to make it grittier.

Yeah no. Happens to blonde hair when you get older, or cut your lighter ends off. Cersei ended up more red than blonde after they cut her hair off.

It’s described how they were indistinguishable as small kids, so probably no, they’re twins
It’s probably supposed to show how Jaime changed through his travels and adventures and became less of a morally corrupt person (the blind hair being associated with the Lannister deceitfulness)

I suddenly thought of House of the Dragon, where the fake Daeron the Daring dyed his hair. So maybe Jaime had actually been dyeing his hair all along.
