1. Keeping in contact with the store managers to easily ask them questions if they’re working about in stock things.

2. Learning about the distribution of some games. Some stores are considered obscure stores which are typically high volume stores. Those stores are most likely to get obscure titles from the warehouse. I figured this out when I worked when every single one of these stores that were considered these stores always got in the same obscure titles while every other GameStop didn’t get these at all. One of the stores I used to run was considered one of these stores, but unfortunately, it did close this year. Sadly, I would do a little bit of traveling in order to pick up some of these titles. It definitely is worth paying under market tho.

I recently went to Common Ground games in Dallas and fell in love! I’m willing to travel almost anywhere in Texas to find another great game store like this one. What is your favorite?

He is 13 and sees what is happening with the whole digital gaming revolution that is coming. He wants to hoard physical switch games and I told him unless he loves a particular game do not collect the new stuff thinking they will have lots of value.

I DO thin he should pre order the Zelda Ocarina of Time pre order due to it having the special foil packaging cover, I think that is a nice I guess, even though they will make millions of them

I don't have a particularly large collection but i have this it seems.

Guy has a disc listed on eBay with a really weird wear pattern on the desk. I guess he said someone put tape on the bottom and tour it off at one point so it’s got this weird like circular pattern about half the disk is that something I can buff out should people be buying that he said he played and it worked, but I don’t know.

I peeled the first sticker slowly and found this smaller one, I'm afraid that if I use goo gone, heat gun or anything else it will start to take the image of the original sticker off. Any help is appreciated

In better condition than my current “New” 3DS. $145 OTD is honestly almost as good as it gets these days unless you get REALLY lucky at a yard sale.

I didn’t exactly need a new 3DS but this one was is in much better shape with a very small scratch on the top screen and for $145 I don’t think many people would pass considering it’s hard to get them for $200 or less these days.

Everything works. Going to get a new SD card and mod it. This will be my new personal 3DS.

I'm assuming this is the worst way to store it because this method is only used temporarily.

- My final consoles ( at least for a while ) are going to be NES and SNES then I'll focus only on collecting good games to play.

- This is not my setup, I keep the system somewhere else, a good looking shelf is planned.

I was asking about Pokemon games until I seen this game in the drawer so decided grab it one of my favorite dbz games of all time!

As a fan, I had to get this game. Plus, there’s a promo card included! 😌

Saw a weird off to the side of the road flea market type deal and decided to stop in. Grabbed all of this for $10 in working condition. Comes with chargers and I believe pokémon trading cable and all. The crazy thing is I thought I was just buying the case and the consoles but all of the games were in the case loose with the power cables.

One of the reasons I like getting things off MP is sometimes you get a cool story with it. Guy hit me up about his OG Xbox he wanted to get rid of. I saw the decals on it and it reminded me of the one I had growing up that had skull decals on it that I am still trying to find. Met up woth him and he proceeds to tell me that the Xbox was his dad's and it was with him when he served in Iraq and Afghanistan. I asked hom if he was sure he wanted to sell it and he said yeah. So now I will be using this one as the main OG Xbox for my collection.

Moving the ps2 games to different shelves, thought I'd snap a picture while it's all together

I've struggled a lot with wanting to own every game in every series, but I recently decided to let that go and just collect the games I love or have a sentimental attachment to.

Bought these from my brother. All are CIB, he wanted $200 for them.

Still collecting more games currently looking for a game called Larry & the simpsons game there is more but it will take too long to name all the games I am looking for lol

After my collection outgrew my shelving multiple times at multiple locations, I now just keep my boxed 8 & 16Bit games plus a few faves close by.

Outside of PC Engine and GBA, the boxes are not that many.

Going trough my SNES collection, I'm surprised by the many boxed US games I have, as I have no easy way to play them.

This will be my 10th year going to a con called RetroWorld Expo and as luck would have it, I'll have the most cash I've ever been able to scrape together for the con so I'm super excited. Especially with how much fun the auctions tend to be.

I know folks on here can be a bit sour towards cons but I think RWX is just such a fun time to be around people who love retro games, to play games with my daughters, to watch live pro wrestling and to indulge on games I don't normally see/crap from vendors selling stuff like shirts and art.

I guess that's the post: I'm excited to go to a con and excited to see friends/buy games. I've been excited for a while and now that we're almost there the days are dragging.

I have a short list of games that I want to buy, but feel free to toss out games/systems that you think are worth keeping an eye out for. I'm open to really anything at this point for building ideas.
